Spring Route Guide to Turkey’s Best Tulip Locations 🌺
1. Bursa — City Tulip Parks 🌸
Best time: early–mid April
Bursa is one of Turkey’s key tulip-growing regions, and its parks turn into bright, colorful displays during spring.
Where to see tulips:
· Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Park — detailed floral compositions and rare tulip varieties.
· Karagöz Çiftliği — classic tulip rows and wide, photogenic fields.
Why go: easy access from Istanbul (bus/ferry), beautiful landscaped areas.
2. Konya — Turkey’s Largest Tulip Farms 🌷
Best time: mid April
Konya is the center of large-scale tulip cultivation. This is not about parks — it’s about endless open fields stretching towards the horizon.
Key locations:
· Çumra Lale Tarlası (Çumra Tulip Fields) — massive agricultural tulip fields, the most impressive in Turkey.
· Area near Konya Tropical Butterfly Garden — decorative plantings and scenic walking spaces.
Why go: the closest experience to the Netherlands within Turkey.
3. Isparta — Colorful Spring Flower Plantations🪻
Best time: mid April
Isparta is famous for roses, but in spring it also hosts lovely tulip areas around the province.
Where to see tulips:
· Isparta Flower Fields — seasonal tulip patches that vary each year.
· Villages around Eğirdir Lake — small private farms surrounded by lakes and mountains.
Why go: soft spring climate, peaceful landscapes, fewer tourists.
Suggested 5–6 Day Tulip Route 💡

Explore the major city parks and enjoy early blooms.
Day 3–4: Konya

Relax and enjoy fish dishes while soothed by the crystal clear lake waters
We enjoyed a leisurely fish meal on the shores of Lake Eildeir in Turkey's Lake District, gazing at the tranquil lake. The water in the lake was crystal clear, and the waterfowl were playing leisurely, bringing a sense of calm to our senses. There are pensions and restaurants along the shore, and it is also fun to take a stroll around the castle walls and church ruins.

Relaxing ruins in Pisidia, Turkey
It is not a very famous ancient ruin in Isparta Province, but it has a magnificent amphitheater. It is also soothing to take a leisurely walk while looking at the temple ruins and thinking about the past. A little further away, there are also remains of an aqueduct (see photo 6). It is a little less than two hours by car from Isparta city.

Isparta Rose Magic🌸
If you want to unlock the dreamy magic of Isparta, you have to try the Rosa Damascena harvest experience! 🌸💖
I rolled out of bed at 5AM (yup, still pitch dark!) and headed to Ardıçlı köyü gül bahçeleri, in Keçiborlu, Isparta — address is 32700 Ardıçlı/Keçiborlu/Isparta, Türkiye. If you’re thinking “Why so early?” — trust me, the sunrise over the fields is absolutely next level. The air smelled sooo good, with pink roses everywhere. Two baskets loaded up with fresh flowers sat on top of our red car (major photo op, especially with those gorgeous mountain views in the background 🌄🚗)!
First, you’ll join the locals for some hands-on picking. It’s literally the *ultimate* fresh flower activity (not just a random garden stroll!). Afterwards, you get to check how pure rose water is made — watching the petals turn into something everyone wants for their skincare is just mind-blowing!
Everything feels super Insta-worthy, especially when the sun hits the fields just right. Seriously, this is the kind of memory that sticks with you forever.
Travel tips:
· Best time to go is May-June, right in the middle of rose season.
· Don’t forget your camera and comfy shoes for easy flower picking!
· The garden opens early for harvest (usually around sunrise).

Türkiye Isparta Rose Garden
Isparta in Türkiye is a famous city of roses🌹
The roses here are called Rose Damascena. Unlike ornamental roses, the roses here are mainly used to extract high-quality essential oils and rose by-products, such as rose water, rose essential oil, rose skin care products, etc. .
This rose is super super fragrant 😍😍
The owner of the flower field gave us a bunch of roses. We couldn't help but smell the roses again and again. He even made a wreath for us to take photos. ☺️Very happy
Of course, I bought fresh, additive-free rose water in the end ☺️ It is not only moisturizing and whitening, but also fragrant, it is amazing 😁
Come back next month, the lavender should be in bloom😚

Super tender lamb kebab
I went to Ferah Kebap in Isparta, located in central Turkey, about a four-and-a-half-hour drive from Ankara. This famous local restaurant was packed with customers. I ordered Isparta Kebab, a lamb dish, which was incredibly tender and delicious. Even if you don't like lamb, it's worth trying. The service from the staff was quick and excellent. The restaurant is located in a park close to the center of town. The surrounding streets were decorated with rose motifs, a specialty of the town.
