Munich, you were worth the wait. 🇩🇪🤍 📍Train journey 🚆 A 6-hour journey from Jena to Munich, made easier with the Deutschlandticket. One of the best things about exploring Germany. 📍Munich streets & buildings 🏛️ Walking through Munich felt like stepping into history. The majestic Baroque buildings and old-world charm were truly breathtaking. 📍German food 🥨 Trying German food was part of the experience… but my Asian food cravings still won. 😂🥢 Sometimes, nothing beats the flavors that feel like home. 📍First view of Eibsee 🏔️ And then we arrived at Eibsee… a magical lake that looked too beautiful to be real. 📍Turquoise water 💎 Crystal-clear turquoise water, cold mountain air, peaceful forests, and views that looked straight out of a postcard. 📍Forest trail 🌲 Walking through the quiet forest, surrounded by nature and the Bavarian Alps, was the kind of moment you wish you could keep forever. 🤍 From city streets to alpine lakes, this Bavarian adventure will always have a special place in my heart. ✨ Eibsee Travel Tips 🏔️ 🚆 From Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Eibsee, the bus is not included in the Deutschlandticket. You need to pay an extra €12 for the round trip, and they only accept cash, so prepare some beforehand. 💶 🌅 Start early! It’s the best way to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, avoid bigger crowds, and have more chances to capture the best viewpoints. 🥾 For the Eibsee walk, starting counter clockwise from the parking lot area worked well for us. You’ll discover beautiful views of the turquoise lake, forest, and mountains along the way. 💎🌲 🥪 Bring your own food and water. Having a packed meal makes it easier to relax and enjoy the scenery without rushing. Small preparations make the journey smoother, but the views make everything worth it. ✨

We had a really good experience at 969 Kyoto Jena. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared, especially the sushi and other Japanese fusion dishes. Everything we ordered was flavorful and felt well-balanced. The ambience was also a highlight — a cozy and modern setting that makes the dining experience very pleasant and relaxing. It’s a nice place to sit down and enjoy a proper meal rather than just grab a quick bite. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit, which made the overall experience even better. Service felt welcoming and efficient. Overall, a great spot in Jena for good Japanese food, nice atmosphere, and friendly service. Definitely worth visiting again.

#springtravel It's the second oldest botanical garden in Germany, maintained by the University of Jena. The garden contains about 12,000 plants. Its outdoor areas include an arboretum containing about 900 species of deciduous and coniferous trees and shrubs; a rock / an alpine garden representing approximately 2,500 species; a systematic garden organized by contemporary taxonomy; a collection of medicinal and useful plants; a small hill and pond; and a collection of rhododendrons, roses, and dahlias. Its five greenhouses are as follows: cactus and succulent house; cold house for the transitional zone between tropics and subtropics; palm and tropical house; "evolution" house with ancient plant forms including cycads and tree ferns; and a tropical aquatic house which contains Victoria cruziana, mangroves, epiphytes, etc. I spent the all day there. #travel #botanicalgarden

Nearby, the Botanical Garden has a tropical greenhouse and medicinal plants. The Karmelitenklosterruine is the remains of a 15th-century monastery. The Saaleradweg cycle path follows the Saale River through the city. Other main sites are the following: town hall at Markt square, Phyletisches Museum, Romantikerhaus, Schillers Gartenhaus, St. Michael's church, St. John's Church, Peace Church, Jen Tower.
