Kaga travel guide and discussion

Found a treasure in Kaga😭 This hidden mountain onsen ryokan, [Love][Love] With only 16 rooms in the entire property, privacy is maximized! The best part is that each room has its own private open-air bath♨️! Soaking in the warm water at night under a sky full of stars, and waking up to the misty green mountains during the day🌿, all work fatigue instantly melts away![Awesome][Awesome][Awesome] The details are also super thoughtful: there’s a sauna to steam it out🧖, and if you bring kids, there are special children’s bathrobes. In the common area, you can enjoy a herbal onsen spa; after a day of exploring, a session here is so relaxing you won’t want to leave! [Joyful] Here’s the highlight! The Kaga snow season is coming soon! The whole hillside will be covered in a silver blanket, with the open-air onsen steaming gently. Imagine soaking in the hot spring while watching snow fall on the mountains—who wouldn’t be enchanted by that scene! Nearby footbaths and kiln ruins become even more atmospheric after snow, and every snap you take is a winter masterpiece📸,

A retreat that reminds you of the luxury of 'doing nothing'. At dusk, the lights visible through the steam led me to 'Yunokuni Tensho'. This is a hot spring inn where one night is simply not enough. Like a hot spring theme park, it offers three distinct large baths and 18 different hot spring experiences. The starry sky viewed from the open-air baths feels like a reward for travelers. However, the true luxury might be the 'tranquility'. As you walk through the inn, the sound of tatami mats, the scent of wood, and the beauty of Kutani porcelain and Kaga Yuzen displayed in the corridors evoke the feeling of 'Ah, I am truly traveling in Japan'. At night, indulge in a kaiseki meal featuring Kaga vegetables and Noto beef. In the morning, enjoy fluffy rice and the aroma of dashi alongside the sunlight streaming through the windows. This is the kind of inn that makes your heart whisper, 'I want to come back here again.' ⸻ 📍 Yunokuni Tensho (Kaga Onsen Area・Yamashiro Onsen) 19-49-1 Yamashiro Onsen, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture 🚃 Free shuttle bus available from JR Kaga Onsen Station (approx. 15 minutes) 🚗 About 15 minutes by car from Hokuriku Expressway 'Kaga IC' 💤 Rooms with open-air baths and secluded villa-style accommodations are popular 🛀 Some day-use hot spring options available (check in advance) ⸻ 📌 This is not just a place to stay. It's an inn where you can immerse yourself in the richness of hot springs and Japanese culture.

🥨 Kaga 🥨 A winter getaway to Kaga Onsen Located about 40-50 minutes by train from Kanazawa, this area is on the outskirts but offers satisfying facilities and kaiseki cuisine, making it a recommended hot spring travel destination! It’s not a widely known spot, which makes it even more relaxing and enjoyable. The onsen has various amenities, so you can spend the whole day inside without stepping out! If you’re looking to explore nearby areas, I highly recommend visiting Kaga in winter!

Visiting Japan and soaking in hot springs is a must! I spent a week traveling in the Hokuriku region, and my final stop was Kaga Onsen for some relaxation. I stayed at the Yatoya Hot Spring Inn this time. The room rate is about 8000 yen per night. The room has a single bed, a small living area, a toilet, and a washbasin. The service is truly exceptional. In addition to shuttle service from the station, you don't have to carry your luggage at all after getting off the bus. 😂 After checking in, a staff member will take your luggage, introduce the environment, and then take you to your room. It's a royal treatment. 😝 The hotel has two hot springs, one of which has a small outdoor pool that's very pleasant. The room itself comes with a yukata, and there are other patterns to choose from outside the hot spring area! In the afternoon, there are free desserts, and the small ice cream is especially delightful. In the evening, you can enjoy a unique taiko drum performance from Kaga Onsen. There are some small eateries and restaurants near the hotel, and a convenience store is just a five-minute walk away. If you want to enjoy a bit more, booking a stay with breakfast and dinner included is also a great option!

A Relais & Chateaux inn with only 13 in Japan. It is located in Yamashiro Onsen, Kaga Onsenkyo, Ishikawa Prefecture♨️ Normally it costs over 100,000 yen for two meals, but I got a 20,000 yen discount per person for the Noto Peninsula earthquake Hokuriku support discount, so I made an immediate reservation😳 60,000 yen per person became 40,000 yen🥹🫰🏻 The staff were all friendly and fun, the place was lush with greenery, and all the hot springs were beautiful and very relaxing. There are also many libraries📚 A place you'll want to go back to🌿 . . 📍Beniya Mukayu 🗺️Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture 🕒Check-in 15:00/Check-out 11:00 💰¥100,000/room #trip_aug #domestictravel #hotsprings #luxuryhotel

Many Japanese inns offer one night with two meals, which means accommodation includes breakfast and dinner. This service is likely provided if there are few restaurants near the inn. The cuisine I tasted this time was Noto kaiseki, which is more refined, based on the famous seafood of the Noto Peninsula, and follows a style similar to kaiseki cuisine. The full course includes an aperitif, appetizer, sashimi, steamed dish, grilled dish, simmered dish, fried dish, dessert🍮, matcha🍵, etc. Delicious❤️ The dishes were indeed very exquisite, but because the portions were overly refined, I was actually a bit hungry, haha, so the inn allows guests to move to the side to eat pancakes after the kaiseki, or they can order additional food! Highly recommended❤️

♨️ There's a must-visit attraction near Nagoya, the famous Kaga Onsen. No matter how tight your schedule is, you should carve out a day to relax properly. Kissho-tei is a long-established onsen ryokan in the Kaga area, renowned for its Yamanaka Onsen. If you book in advance, a shuttle bus will pick you up from Kaga Onsen subway station, and it's about a 30-minute ride to the hotel. ♨️ Japanese onsen ryokans typically focus on a 'one meal, two nights' stay, allowing you to spend the whole day resting within the hotel. The surrounding environment is serene, the air is exceptionally clean, and there are various baths for women and men. You can also pay extra for a timed ⌛️ bathhouse. Some rooms in the hotel also come with a small private onsen. After a satisfying meal and a good rest overnight, you'll be ready to have lots of fun the next day!

Inside the inn, there is a waterfall and a 16,000m2 garden. At the entrance, there is a reflection of the bamboo forest (unfortunately it was raining and windy that day, so the reflection wasn't very good. lol) There is a large fireplace in the lobby, which warmed up my cold body....🫧 In the library lounge, you can enjoy free drinks at any time and relax in an open space The building was so large that I almost got lost, but the garden was so beautiful that I was impressed🥹 I didn't go this time, but it seems there is also a fitness gym and a walking pool👀! There is also a garden pool that is only open in the summer, so I would like to enjoy it in the summer next time 💰6600- (5 people per room, per person) 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄𓊆𝑇𝑒𝑙𓊇Official website0761-77-0150 ︎𓊆𝐴𝑐𝑐𝑒𝑠𝑠𓊇 From the official website: 14-27 Yamashiro Onsen, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 𓐄 #IshikawaTourism #Kaga #SoloTravel #WinterTravel #Onsen #YamashiroOnsen #Hokans

This restaurant is amazing. I happened to drop by during a walk in Yamanaka Onsen, but it's a long-established restaurant that has been in business for 60 years! It has been featured in various magazines, and their suiran tanmen and homemade gyoza are super delicious. And for some reason, there's even a piano in the restaurant, which gives it a calm and beautiful atmosphere. The noodles for the suiran tanmen are handmade, the soup is a clear soup, and the gyoza are handmade one by one, with care taken with the skins. This restaurant is full of surprises, so please come and try it. Hoshino Resorts KAI Kaga is located in Yamashiro Onsen, one of the Kaga Onsen Villages, and the atmosphere of the large public bath is wonderful. "Kutani no Yu," which was renovated and reopened in 2017, is beautifully decorated using Kaga's traditional crafts of Kutani ware and Kanazawa gold leaf, so we recommend you visit it at least once. The walls of the indoor bath are decorated with Kutani ware to represent the four seasons, and Kutani ware by a total of eight artists is incorporated into the men's and women's baths. The glass partitioning the open-air bath is painted with Mt. Hakusan in Kanazawa gold leaf, and the ceiling of the open-air bath is decorated with a full moon. Yamashiro Onsen is also known as a beauty bath, and has a thick hot spring. Why not enjoy the hot spring while looking at the beautiful traditional crafts? Barley tea and yuzu mitsui are available in the rest area, but you can also get popsicles and coffee at the adjacent Travel Library, which is open 24 hours a day. Hoshino Resorts KAI Kaga is located in Yamashiro Onsen, Ishikawa Prefecture. The hotel retains the historic traditional Kaga architecture, allowing you to fully enjoy Kaga culture, and the highlights of the hotel are the seasonal kaiseki cuisine, which uses seafood from the Sea of Japan and other seafood. The pairing of the Kutani ware created to match the food is also noteworthy. The kaiseki cuisine is said to be carefully prepared using special tableware, following the example of Kitaoji Rosanjin, a gourmet with ties to the hotel who said, "Tableware is the kimono of food." Just looking at the food served on the beautiful tableware is a joy. For those who can drink alcohol, we of course recommend sake. The breakfast is also hearty! You can enjoy Ishikawa cuisine to your heart's content not only in the evening but also in the morning. I found the best coffee shop ever in Yamanaka Onsen♨️ Established in 1966!! When you enter the shop, you are greeted by the indescribable aroma of coffee The interior is decorated in a very traditional, good old coffee shop style The music is jazz and the time flows slowly The coffee is the best, made with carefully selected coffee beans brewed using a siphon For food, I had cheese doria with tomatoes and shrimp, and it was the best doria served in a piping hot iron pot The shop is crowded with local customers, so you can spend a wonderful time If you visit Yamanaka Onsen, it's a must #coffee #establishedin1966 #yamanakaonsen Opening hours: 9:00 to 19:00 Address: 1-6 Honmachi, Yamanaka Onsen, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture

When you think of Kaga, you think of Kaga Parfait. So I went to Haduchio Rakudo's Kaga Parfait in the Yamashiro Onsen♨️ area. It looks great on Instagram, but it tastes delicious and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, so there's nothing to complain about. If you come to Yamashiro Onsen, you should definitely stop by. A small cafe in the seaside town of Shioyacho on the edge of Kaga City. This cafe is decorated in white and is Korean-style. This is a popular cafe, so if you want to try some sweets, we recommend going early. We went there leisurely around 2pm, and even though it was a weekday, the sweets were almost all sold out... We let our guard down. But it was cute, so it's OK! We chose a menu that looked good with what was available. There is parking for three cars next to the store, but it is almost full, and if it is full, you will need to park in the parking lot at the beach, which is about a five-minute walk away. The interior of the store is cute no matter where you look, but it seems that you cannot move seats. There are two public baths in Yamashiro Onsen, "Soyu" and "Kosoyu". Two old-fashioned public baths with impressive wood and stained glass. Kosoyu is a restoration of the public baths from the Meiji period, and not only the exterior and interior have been recreated, but also the bathing method of the time, called "yuami", which simply involves soaking in the hot spring. The rest area on the second floor and the Kutani ware tiles on the floor and walls of the bathroom have also been restored to their original state. The bathroom was cuter than I expected, but the water was quite hot, so I could only stay in it for 5 to 10 minutes! After warming up, I went to the rest area on the second floor to cool off with a fan and drink ice-cold water for a blissful moment. It was a great spot to visit. It was free if you were staying at Hoshino Resorts Kai Kaga, which is right in front of it. · There are no showers or faucets. 📍 Chilly and Toasty A cafe on the edge of Ishikawa Prefecture It's a temporary cafe under a private house, but it's comfortable because it's located along the river, in the shade of the roof, with camping chairs and wooden tables. I don't live nearby, but I like it so much that I'm confident that I'm a regular customer lol ⚠️ ・The food is open sandwiches and pancakes ・It takes a long time to be served because there is only one person in front of me. ・If there is even one person in front of me, you may have to wait an hour, so it's only for people who have time to spare. Also, even if you come with two people, the food will arrive at different times because it is made for each person. I really recommend coming alone and taking your time 😭 Opening hours are irregular depending on the season, so please check the official Instagram before going. #IshikawaTourism#777

I went to 𝐅𝐔𝐙𝐎𝐍 𝐊𝐀𝐆𝐀 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐫 in Kaga, Ishikawa Prefecture. The exterior has a noren curtain hanging, and a slightly nostalgic retro atmosphere✨ The tables and chairs inside the store were stylish and cute~💠 When I asked the staff for a recommendation, they recommended brulee cheesecake, so I ordered two types🧀 It was very rich and sweet🫶 My first time drinking black cafe latte❤︎ ⸒⸒ When you drink it, your lips will get colored, so girls who go on a date should be careful ⚠️ lol (It tastes good 😊) Also, if you want to take a good photo, I recommend the iced drink because it comes in a beaker 🕐12:00-18:00 📍21 Daishouji Uomachi, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture 📞0761-75-7340 I'm also on Instagram, so please come and take a look if you like ☺︎ →→→ @yoppi_trip #IshikawaTourism #IshikawaCafe #IshikawaSpots

Located in Kaga, Kaga Yamanaka Hotel Select offers accommodations set among the mountains and on a river. Ishikawa Children's Exchange Center and Sato Tsukisato are also worth a visit. Tsukiusagi no Sato-Urushigura at Ishikawa #TravelJapan #Japan #TravelJapanSushiCity #ishikawa #rabbitcity #souvenirshop The journey begins again with a rest at the rabbit house. It is a port city for tourists to stop by. It is a place suitable for relaxation. There are rabbits around and they are raised in an open area. The rabbits are quite small for people to visit. They are very cute. You can get close to the rabbits for those who love the cuteness of Bunnies (the place does not allow you to touch the rabbits because they may be contaminated). 👍✌️😃 However, for the tour, it will only take 20 minutes to rest. It is not enough time. It is a pity that I wanted to stay longer. 🥺🥺🥺
