#boracaytrip First time trying out parasailing at Boracay and it was an amazing experience. The whole trip took around thirty minutes from the boat out to the sea, to setting up the parachute. and off we sailed up the sky. The view from the top was great and the staff took numerous photos for us. the final dip down was into the sea, signifying a splashing end to the experience.

I read in a review that they arrived at Kalibo Airport too early and had to wait a long time at the airport... We also arrived too early, arriving at 9 AM... The flight was at 12:50 PM... I also saw a review that said the ship doesn't leave when the weather is the worst, so I'm one of those who thinks it's better to arrive early than to go late... but it was a bit early... Kalibo Airport has immigration on the same floor. There is a parking lot nearby and there are small lounges, so if you are looking for a place to kill time after arriving at the airport quickly like us, you can use it for 200 pesos (4,500 won/If you search on Naver Shopping, you can buy it for 5,000 to 10,000 won). Thanks to arriving early, I got to Kalibo Airport before it opened and had a good time looking around the Kalibo Airport area.

Definitely one for the books. It’s my first time traveling solo and boracay was the perfect place for me since there are so many places and restaurants for me to explore. Getting around the island was also quite easy as there are plenty of options for me to choose from (e-jeep, e-trike, HoHo bus). I just arrived at Kalibo, Aklan in Western Visayas a week after the Ati-Atihan Festival, the Mother of all Philippine festivals. It's festivities can be traced as far as 1212, "making like Atis" pretending like aboriginal natives, with parades, themed floats, bands, and lots of dancing as faces are painted with black and to honor the Sto. Niño, holy child Jesus. Though, i missed the Pagdayaw Festival (ati-atihan), I spent time of prayer inside the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Kalibo and honor Sto. Niño. Also, on the 2nd floor of Kalibo Airport, there is a duty-free shop, 888 cafe & smoking lounge, and souvenir shops that sell dried mangoes, dried bananas, etc. We didn't know about it, so we couldn't eat it, but on the 2nd floor of the duty-free area of ​​Kalibo Airport, they sell Yukgaejang Bowl Noodles for 100 pesos (2,300 won). It is a local bus terminal style. My husband always says that not much has changed since he came here 20 years ago...he muttered that the Philippines has not developed... I arrived early enough that there were only about 5 people waiting on the first floor, so I had some time to spare, and I looked around. There was a place called Bora Mango that sells dried mango souvenirs, and there was a coffee shop across the street. My husband wanted coffee, so I bought some, and a warm Americano was 120 pesos (2,700 won), which was cheaper than I thought, so I was able to drink it without feeling burdened. 👌And when using the bathroom, the bathroom on the first floor is wider than the bathroom on the second floor where the duty-free shop is located, so if you want to use the bathroom, it is better to use the bathroom on the first floor. The second floor is often crowded

#Ho-kang-seu I was worried that I would be tired because of the late arrival, so I booked a place with good reviews near Kalibo Airport for 40,000 won, including breakfast, just to sleep. As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I screamed!!! The condition was good and the room was huge~ There was a convenience store in front of the hotel, so I bought snacks and beer and ate them. Ding-ga-ding-ga~ I woke up in the morning, had a quick breakfast, looked around the swimming pool, and left. I didn't expect much, but I now know why the hotel has good reviews. If you have early morning or late flight to/from Kalibo Airport, maybe this trip monument is helpful. Kalibo is a sizeable city and the capital of Aklan Province (governing Boracay). I had tried local foods, visited markets and night food stalls, and for a jogging along Aklan River. If you are into modern malls, you can visit CityMall, which is a light version of SM Mall. Famous fast food chains are also available. You can see the local vibes at Kalibo Plaza in front of the magnificent Kalibo Cathedral.
