Located in Korinbo, Seseragi-dori Shopping Street is right next to the Nagamachi Samurai District. It's highly recommended to grab a bite and do some shopping here after your visit to the samurai houses. The entire street has a very stylish vibe. Unfortunately, my visit fell on a Wednesday when many stores were closed 🥲, so I'd suggest avoiding Wednesdays. Along the street, you'll find optical shops, public bathhouses, select boutiques (on the pricier side), Kutani ware stores, and an all-you-can-eat Noto beef restaurant. My top recommendation is the ice cream shop, Gelateria Ritorta. Finally, if you get tired and need a break, you can head over to the nearby Korinbo Tokyu Square mall to sit down and check out Tokyu Hands. While there is plenty to see and do in Kanazawa during the day, I highly recommend checking out the night illuminations and grabbing some drinks at a fantastic local izakaya in the evening ☺️ 🌉 The Illuminated Nezumitamon Bridge I headed over to Kanazawa Castle Park just as the sun was setting. The moment I stepped onto the bridge, I couldn't help but say, "Wow, it's beautiful...!" 🥺✨ Softly glowing lights line the walkway of the bridge, leading up to the majestic, illuminated Nezumitamon Gate. It felt like a scene straight out of a historical drama or a movie—I completely lost track of time just staring at it 📸 What struck me the most was the beautiful, straight line of the bridge. It naturally creates a sense of depth in photos, making it an incredibly photogenic spot ✨ ⛩️ Heading to Oyama Shrine Just across the Nezumitamon Bridge lies Oyama Shrine, dedicated to Maeda Toshiie, the founding lord of the Kaga Domain. It's one of Kanazawa's most iconic tourist destinations ✨ The first thing that blew me away when I arrived was the design of the main gate! Believe it or not, the upper section features stained glass, making for a rare architectural masterpiece that blends Japanese, Western, and Chinese styles ✨ It has a truly unique vibe that you won't find at many other shrines. 📍 Nezumitamon Gate & Nezumitamon Bridge 1-1 Marunouchi, Kanazawa, Ishikawa 📍 Oyama Shrine 11-1 Oyamamachi, Kanazawa, Ishikawa 🏮 Kanazawa's Iconic and Popular Izakaya 📍 Itaru (Main Branch) "Itaru" is so famous that they say everyone in Kanazawa knows about it ✨ I couldn't get a reservation, so I had to line up before they even opened! A morning visit to Oyama Shrine in Kanazawa. Standing within the traditional Japanese grounds, the stained glass shrine gate looked utterly magical bathed in the morning light. On the grounds, a single large magnolia blossom had opened. With plenty of buds still waiting, full bloom is just around the corner. I was able to enjoy this serene spring scenery that can only be experienced right now. Next to the tree, there's also an adorable statue of a frog riding on a lotus leaf. Definitely worth visiting the temples (nothing too crazy) and ESPECIALLY Fushimi Inari Taisha 🦊⛩️ — yes, the famous dating app picture spot 😂 · OSAKA 🍻: Japan’s 3rd biggest city and SUPER fun. Highly recommended for nightlife, bar hopping and enjoying the chill vibes 🌙 Local people feel a bit more social than in Tokyo and the atmosphere is amazing. Also worth visiting Osaka Castle 🏯 and other cool spots around the city. Plus, the huge bamboo sculpture outdoors at the Modern Art Gallery is super eye-catching - shining with metallic luster in the sunny sunshine, a super beautiful IG photo scene. Let me talk about my impressions first. I really think that the Ishikawa Prefectural History Museum is a fine art building that can be walked and photographed! The three red brick historical buildings combine the functions of a modern exhibition hall. Entering you can feel the historical atmosphere of Kanazawa over the past century and appreciate the details of the integration of art design and architecture. There are permanent exhibitions inside, from fabrics, ceramics, crafts to ancient texts. #japantrip There’s at least one such fish market in each town of Japan. I personally found this one touristy and skippable for its average quality and obviously high prices. Note: There’s a brand that sets up at least five restaurants in the market (coz they are using the same menu), and the food was subpar: it did not taste too bad, but certainly lacking umami in most of the fishes in my bowl. Note2: The coffee at the entrance was not bad.
