Musandam Peninsula is situated in Oman’s northerly point separated from the rest of Oman by United Arab Emirates. The mountain surrounding it attracts tourist because of its beautiful form. From the air, the mountainous terrain resembles claw like fingers reaching into brilliant torquoise waters. From Dubai, I book a day tour and about 2 hours to get there by land. Then we ride the Dhow and cruise us to the beautiful spots in Musandam. The dhow stops in the middle and let us enjoy for a swim, banana boat ride then we proceeded to other tourist spots. My tour package include a buffet meal, land transfer Dubai-Musandam vice versa, and entry permit to Oman. It was fun and I really enjoyed it even I was the only Filipino on that tour meeting new friends and eating Arabic foods. #qingmingtravel #lightthecity #urbanexplorer

Musandam Oman
Musandam is a semi-exclave of Oman, separated from the mainland by the UAE. Musandam attracts tourists with its picturesque landscapes, opportunities for diving, trekking, fishing, and boat trips on traditional dhows. We took a tour from Dubai for $130 for two adults. A comfortable minivan picked us up in the morning, and we drove 1.5 hours to the Omani border. We quickly cleared passport control, boarded a boat, and sailed along the gulf! Beautiful views: mountains, desert, and emerald water. We swam in the open sea, rode boats and banana boats, snorkeled and looked at fish (there were even small sharks), and fished without a rod, just a line, reel, and hook. We stopped and swam on the beach and explored caves. The food was delicious, and soon it was time to go back. A wonderful boat trip 🔥🔥🔥

Chasing Tranquility in Wanaka: Lake Views & Serene Moments 🌄🍃
Discover Wanaka, where every moment by the idyllic lake feels utterly peaceful—the kind of ‘sandam’ tranquility that’s hard to find anywhere else. Be prepared for epic vistas, crystalline waters, and that gentle hum of New Zealand calm!
Set out from the waterfront in the early morning when Lake Wanaka is extra glassy (and the crowds haven’t arrived yet). Stroll the lakeside path—must-do: pause beneath the iconic “That Wanaka Tree” for postcard-perfect photos (best angle: low by the water’s edge with the mountains in the background). Want true stillness? Settle on a bench or the pebble beach, breathe deeply, and just soak in the silence—the peace here is genuinely restorative.
For a casual adventure, follow the Waterfall Creek Track; it’s flat, scenic, and delivers gorgeous lake-and-hill shots all along the way. If you’re up for a little climb, Roy’s Peak rewards you with jaw-dropping alpine panorama shots—the hike is tough but worth it if you’re chasing that ultimate “above the clouds” feeling!
Top visiting tips: Lake Wanaka is ideal all year, but the most magical moments are early in the morning or during the golden hour at sunset, when the scenery glows. Bring a light windbreaker as lakeside breezes can be brisk, and don’t forget sunscreen—even on cooler days, the NZ sun is strong! If you crave a true sandam vibe, find a quiet spot outside town where it’s just you, the water, and the sound of birds.

A Peaceful Escape in Musandam
My trip to Musandam, Oman was short but absolutely unforgettable. It perfectly combined comfort, adventure, and the breathtaking beauty of Oman’s northern coast.
I arrived in Khasab by bus from Ras Al Khaimah, enjoying the scenic ride through dramatic mountain landscapes and the deep blue coastline. The journey itself already felt like an adventure, and crossing into Oman was smooth and easy.
I spent the night at Atana Khasab Resort, which turned out to be the perfect choice. The hotel has a wonderful location overlooking the sea, with spacious rooms, friendly staff, and a calm atmosphere. I arrived just before sunset and spent the evening relaxing by the pool and enjoying the incredible view of the fjords as the sun went down — such a peaceful and unforgettable moment.
The next morning, I joined a 4-hour dhow cruise, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The traditional wooden dhow was comfortable and beautifully maintained, with shaded seating and soft cushions. The crew was so welcoming and made sure everyone had a great time.
Sailing through Musandam’s fjords felt magical — surrounded by towering cliffs, clear turquoise water, and total tranquility. We stopped for swimming and snorkeling, and the water was warm and crystal clear. I was lucky to see dolphins swimming alongside the boat, which made the experience even more special. Drinks and fresh fruit were served on board, and the entire cruise was relaxing, well-organized, and full of stunning scenery.
After returning from the cruise, I had a few quiet hours to enjoy the resort before heading to the airport for my evening flight to Muscat. The short flight offered one last look at the dramatic coastline from above — a beautiful farewell to Musandam.
From start to finish, this trip was an amazing experience. The combination of Atana Resort’s comfort, the unforgettable dhow cruise, and the natural beauty of Musandam made it truly special. It’s the perfect getaway for anyone looking for peace, adventure, and authentic Omani hospitality.

[Oman] A beautiful cove and a cute letter monument
📍 Khor Najd (Oman Fjord), Oman
Visited the port town of Khasab in Oman as a stopover on a cruise trip⛴️
I didn't have much information and was unsure where to go, but as a letter monument collector, I couldn't miss the I❤️OMAN letter monument, so I headed to the spot🚗
There were many tour companies and taxis where the cruise ship docked, so I negotiated and chartered a car from the port to take me there!
Musandam is a mountainous Omani peninsula extending into the Strait of Hormuz, separated from the rest of Oman by the UAE⛰️
Its irregular coastline has fjord-like inlets, and these waters are home to dolphins and other marine life🐬
These curving fjords are also known as the 'Norway of the East,' and you can enjoy the scenery on a traditional dhow boat⛵️
From the top of the peninsula, you can see beautiful fjords, and there's a letter monument there❤️
We drove up quite a steep hill🚗
I think it's a spot that not many Japanese people have visited!😊
I probably wouldn't have come here if it weren't for the cruise trip...
As a fan of stunning views, I was very satisfied with the beautiful scenery!🤍🫶🥰

This is Khasab Musandam Oman, I cannot explain how great is this resort on the edge of Oman towards the United Arab Emirates.
This resort is called Atana Khasab Resort and it is open to the sea so you will get sea faced rooms and the pool is just on top of Seaview.
This resort is quite cheap that many don't know but yeah it costs only AED 350 for 2 bedrooms these days with breakfast, and the brresfast is quite good.
Go checkout this wonder if you are in UAE#musandam #travel #oman #uae #dubai
