2025 Komandoo Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in September)

We carefully decided where to visit in the Maldives， as it was our maiden trip and a special birthday celebration， aiming for it to be just right. After research and chatting with friends， we opted for Komandoo， which went above and beyond our expectations. Manager Ahmed Naseem and his amazing team greeted us warmly upon our arrival. Our jacuzzi beach villa， Manta 6， on the island's sunrise side， was spotless and roomy， offering a striking view of the white sandy beach and the turquoise sea—truly awe-inspiring. The island itself is beautiful， with well-maintained grounds. Its small size adds to its charm， precisely what you expect from a Maldives island. The mature plants attract various wildlife， such as lizards， geckos， bats， and herons! The food at Komandoo ranks among the best we've tasted， offering plenty of excellent options—kudos to the chefs! We dined at the Aqua restaurant， a must during your visit， but remember to book early due to its popularity. Our experience at Komandoo was phenomenal， and it's clear why guests return. We plan to revisit as it was simply outstanding and perfect all around. Don't hesitate to book this island! It's a true paradise and the perfect place to relax and unwind. Upon arrival， we were greeted with drums at reception and met by Mini， who efficiently checked us in and took us to our room. We received an upgrade to the stunning premium jacuzzi beach villa Starfish 5—what a lovely surprise! The buffet food was excellent， with a wide range of choices and fresh cooking stations featuring impressive chefs. The desserts were abundant and delicious! A special mention to our waiter Yoosuf， who was fantastic. Be sure to visit Aqua as well; the service is great， and dining over the ocean is magical. The A la carte menu is delicious， and we had wonderful service from our waitress Leem. Rooms are cleaned twice daily and kept spotless. The mini bar is the best we've ever had， with full bottles of wine， beer， soft drinks， chocolate， and Pringles. Snorkeling is top-notch， with plenty of turtles， tropical fish， sharks， and stingrays on the house reef. Remember to bring your own snorkeling gear， as there's a daily charge to rent it! The bars offer great cocktails， though be warned， they're quite strong! The spa is a lovely place to relax， with various offers to try. I had an excellent massage from Marime. All in all， it's a fantastic island with amazing staff， from the GM to the gardeners， who are always smiling and happy. Would we return? Absolutely， 100%! I recently returned from my fourth trip to Komandoo and earned my returners room name plaque! Once again， it was a slice of paradise and I cherished every moment there. The champions at the resort go above and beyond， truly making it special. For a laid-back and relaxing experience， Komandoo is unbeatable. There's plenty of snorkeling and swimming with turtles nearly every day. The island， with many returning guests， is perfect for reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new ones. The Lagoon is nicely sized， making it easy to enjoy the sea without venturing too far. The island’s small size， combined with its adults-only policy， is exactly why we love it!

Kamandhoo Spa Resort is a peaceful hideaway with overwater and beachfront villas. I stayed in a water villa with a private plunge pool and enjoyed the serene ocean views. The spa treatments were exceptional, with therapies overlooking the lagoon. I also experienced snorkeling and paddleboarding directly from the villa. Dining included fresh seafood and tropical cocktails served in a relaxed, elegant setting. This resort is perfect for honeymooners or travelers seeking privacy and rejuvenation.#maldiveshotel
