The Starbucks in Kunitachi is different from other stores! It is operated as the first signing store in Japan, and sign language is used as a common language☺️ The signs are in sign language, and they also sell limited edition mugs! The menu is the same as the regular store☕️ Depending on the staff, you can order by speaking out loud, and even if you are deaf, they will read your mouth if you speak slowly, so I didn't feel much difference from other Starbucks in a good way! It was a store that somehow warmed my heart🫶 📍Starbucks Coffee nonowa Kunitachi Store 1-14-1 Kita, Kunitachi City, Tokyo nonowa Kunitachi 🕒7:00-22:00 #Domestic Travel Record Line

I went to "Fujimidai Tunnel ~ macaroi" in Yabo, Tokyo! This is a "shared store" that changes its appearance depending on the day of the week and the time of day. I tried macaron desserts at "macaroi", a macaron specialty store! Please come and visit us sometime~ #Tokyo#Kunitachi#Yabo #Gourmet trip

I visited Yaho Tenmangu Shrine in Kunitachi, Tokyo, during plum blossom season. The plum blossoms in the shrine grounds were beautiful, with red and white flowers adorning the historic shrine's scenery ✨ As I strolled slowly through the grounds, admiring the blossoms, I could feel spring slowly approaching, and I enjoyed a peaceful time 📸 The scent of the plum blossoms and the quiet atmosphere of the shrine grounds were also pleasant, offering a different kind of spring charm than cherry blossoms. 🌸 Admiring the vibrant plum blossoms ⛩️ Visiting Yaho Tenmangu Shrine 📸 Photographing the beautiful scenery of plum blossoms and the shrine 🌿 Strolling while feeling the arrival of spring A recommended spot for enjoying spring flowers around Kunitachi. I visited Kunitachi this spring and took a leisurely stroll through the city, taking in the cherry blossoms around the station. When cherry blossom season arrives, the trees lining Daigaku-dori (University Avenue), which stretches from Kunitachi Station, bloom all at once, instantly transforming the everyday streets into a vibrant and gorgeous atmosphere🌸 The real charm is walking beneath the row of cherry trees while simultaneously enjoying the calm, classic Kunitachi townscape and the beautiful spring scenery📸 🌸 Take a relaxing stroll along the cherry blossom-lined streets 🏙️ Enjoy the beautiful townscape around Kunitachi Station 📸 Capture the perfect spring scenery 🚶♂️ Walk through the city while admiring the cherry blossoms Unlike typical famous cherry blossom spots, it is incredibly striking how the blossoms here seamlessly blend into the everyday life of the city. If you're visiting the Tokyo suburbs in the spring, taking a walk down Daigaku-dori from Kunitachi Station to enjoy the cherry blossoms is highly recommended✨ 📍Kunitachi Station & Daigaku-dori / Kunitachi City, Tokyo Station City Tree-lined Avenue Spot Walk

I visited Yabo Tenmangu Shrine in Kunitachi City, Tokyo. Yabo Tenmangu Shrine is known as a historic shrine dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, the deity of learning, but in early summer, the hydrangeas within the grounds are also a major highlight. Pink, blue, and purple hydrangeas bloom along the paths and around the torii gates, offering a beautiful contrast with the lush green trees. Despite its easily accessible location from central Tokyo, the shrine grounds maintain a quiet and serene atmosphere. It was a truly soothing spot where you can take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the seasonal flowers. Taking a leisurely stroll around Kunitachi Station. My first stop was Hitotsubashi University. The spacious campus features large trees and tranquil ponds, creating an atmosphere so serene you can hardly believe you're still in Tokyo. The historic brick Kanematsu Auditorium has a commanding presence, making me feel as though I had stepped onto a university campus in Europe. Afterward, I headed back toward the Kunitachi Station area. Stylish cafes and independent shops are scattered around Daigaku-dori (University Street), exuding the relaxed vibe of a classic college town. Tucked away in the alleys are lush, Western-style buildings, making just walking around a delightful experience. I stopped by the long-beloved Masudaya Bookstore, and took a break at the Royal Host on the floor above it. Looking out through the large windows at the lush street trees, you can slowly savor pancakes and a seasonal parfait. The bookstore, watching over a landscape unchanged since my student days, and the relaxing atmosphere of the Royal Host, made it the perfect spot to experience the peaceful pace of Kunitachi.

Just a short walk from Kunitachi Station's south exit. This is "Hakujuji," a long-established pastry shop marked by a large tree. It was even featured in the movie "Wolf Children." The showcase is lined with treats like shortcakes, apple pies, jellies, and cheesecakes, all at relatively reasonable prices. This time, I ordered a chocolate cake and an iced coffee, and it had a comforting, old-fashioned flavor that really warmed my heart. There is table seating inside, and it's easy to visit alone thanks to the calm atmosphere. Outside the window, lush greenery spreads out, allowing you to spend a truly relaxing time. People can also be seen reading on the bench in front of the shop, and a peaceful atmosphere typical of Kunitachi filled the air. They also have a great selection of souvenirs like baked goods and cookies, so it's highly recommended for taking a break during a Kunitachi stroll or looking for the perfect gift. Just a short walk from JR Kunitachi Station, with its striking red roof, you'll find "Buranko Street," a charming avenue with a slightly nostalgic vibe. Lined with independent boutiques, sundries shops, and cozy cafes, it's the perfect spot for a leisurely stroll. The long-standing cafe "Rojina Sabo" boasts a charming retro aesthetic. Its signature dish is the Zai Curry, but since I heard it packs a spicy punch, I opted for the meat sauce spaghetti instead. I also highly recommend "Hakujuji," famously known as the real-life inspiration for the movie "Wolf Children". 📍Kunitachi City, Tokyo 🚃Around JR Chuo Line Kunitachi Station Station

⭐️Start from the iconic red triangular-roofed station building in front of Kunitachi Station. Daigaku Dori is lush with greenery, with cherry blossoms in spring and azaleas in early summer, making it a beautiful walking path. Along the way, you'll find unique cafes and small shops on Buranko Dori, giving it an atmosphere somewhat like a European street corner. Tucked away in the residential area are quiet book cafes like "Gantei Bunko," where you can take your time and enjoy reading. 📍Kunitachi City, Tokyo 🚃Around Kunitachi Station, JR Chuo Line ⭐️[Gantei Bunko] A Book Cafe in a Kunitachi Residential Neighborhood "Gantei Bunko" is nestled in a tranquil residential area of Kunitachi City. I stopped by this cafe while taking a stroll around Yaho Tenmangu Shrine. With a natural interior that exudes the warmth of wood, it had a peaceful atmosphere where I could quietly unwind. For lunch, I went with the doria (rice gratin). It was piping hot, loaded with cheese, and incredibly delicious. Paired with an iced drink, I enjoyed a truly relaxing time. It's very welcoming for solo customers and highly recommended for a quick break during your walk. I enjoyed a Japanese lunch in a relaxing atmosphere in an alley near Kunitachi Station. The area around the station is full of flowers and greenery, lined with Western-style buildings and small boutique shops, making it a wonderful place just to take a stroll. For my meal, I had the Ouka Shokado Bento. It was beautifully presented, with small, carefully arranged portions of simmered fish, tempura, grilled dishes, chawanmushi (savory steamed egg custard), and salad. The simmered fish, in particular, absorbed the flavors perfectly and was incredibly delicious. Packed with vegetables, it was a very healthy and wholesome meal. The inside of the restaurant was quiet and spotless, providing a great space to slowly enjoy the food and conversation. With the gentle and peaceful vibe unique to Kunitachi, I was able to spend my time far removed from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Taking a walk around the station after lunch is highly recommended. While the lush green scenery during the day is beautiful, the area around the Kunitachi Station building at night also boasts a fantastic atmosphere. I took a stroll around the Shiroyama Park area in Kunitachi City. Wooded thickets, bamboo groves, and winding paths stretch on, making it hard to believe you are in Tokyo as the serene landscape unfolds before you. Inside the park is "Shiroyama Satonoie," where you can find info on farming experiences and · ocal community events. The staff there were also incredibly welcoming. At the old folk house, you can get a true feel for the traditional way of life, while the surrounding area still preserves natural springs and the local *hake* (bluff) nature. Down at Shiroyama Park, I saw parents and kids out with nets searching for · ocal wildlife—a heartwarming reminder of how closely connected the community still is to nature today. It's not a flashy tourist destination, but it's a wonderful place to take a slow walk and soak in the charming scenery of Musashino. Yagawa Ondashi is a natural spring located in Kunitachi City. What's truly striking is how crystal clear the water is—you'd hardly believe you're in Tokyo. The water babbles along like a small brook, surrounded by lush greenery, creating a peaceful and calming vibe. On the day I visited, the water was so sheer you could see right to the bottom; I instinctively stopped in my tracks to admire its beauty. There are benches available, making it a great place to sit back and relax. If you pair this with a stroll along the Tama River, it creates a perfect itinerary for immersing yourself in nature. I visited on a weekday. It was uncrowded, allowing me to fully relax and unwind. Located right along the Tama River, the views from the open-air baths and indoors feel incredibly open. It offers a peacefulness you wouldn't expect in Tokyo. The interior is spotless, with spacious lounge and dining areas. This time, I ordered the grated radish hamburger steak set meal, and it was genuinely delicious and highly satisfying. When I visited in early March, the plum blossom season was just coming to an end, with only a few flowers still in bloom. While peak bloom is beautiful, enjoying a peaceful, uncrowded stroll is a special perk of visiting at this time of year. The shrine grounds are spacious, quiet, and incredibly soothing. There are also tables and chairs right by the plum grove, making it a wonderful spot to just kick back and relax. I was also drawn to some unique items for sale, like the "Exam Success Jelly" that was even featured on TV. Another big plus is that it's super close to Yaho Station, making it easy to drop by. The ginkgo trees lining Daigaku-dori Street, which runs straight from JR Kunitachi Station, are illuminated (with approximately 93,000 light bulbs), bathing the entire street in a gentle glow. The slowly changing colors—white, blue, red, and green—make for an engaging walk. The street is not too wide and is flat. The illuminations are subdued and elegant. #hellohalloween In the quiet neighborhood of Kunitachi, KUNITACHI TEA HOUSE is a charming little spot known for its delicate crêpes and fine teas. The cozy interior, filled with warm light and elegant teaware, makes it a perfect place for a calm afternoon. This time, I tried their baked apple crêpe—a seasonal treat that’s perfect for autumn and winter. The crêpe was soft and buttery, with warm, cinnamon-spiced apples and a touch of sweetness. Kunitachi Onsen Yuraku no Sato is a hot spring facility located in "Kunitachi" city. It is not "Kokuritsu". (Japanese is difficult, isn't it?) This facility is located along the Tama River, so there are no large buildings around, and if the weather is good, you can see Mt. Fuji and the open sky from the open-air bath. The water in the open-air bath is a real hot spring excavated from 1,800 meters underground, and is a sodium chloride spring with a pH of about 8, which is gentle on the skin. In addition to the open-air bath, there are a full range of baths, including high-concentration carbonated springs, reclining baths, jet baths, hot water, high-temperature saunas, salt saunas, and cold baths. As for the facilities, you can eat at the restaurant, get a massage, have a body scrub, and read manga, so you can spend the whole day there. The view from the open-air bath is so open that you wouldn't think you were in Tokyo, and I think it is very comfortable and relaxing.
