A 3 hours drive out from Beijing in Baoding we found this amazing mountain and it is difficult to believe that such a nice place can be so close to the capital. Upon arrival we found that since it is gonna be woman’s day this month we girls did not have to pay anything for the entrance ticket. However to get to the mountain we had to take shuttle bus or the cable car from the parking area. We paid 30 rmb pr one way to get to the gate. We spent about 5 hours on the top of the mountain walking around at about 1900 meter over sea level. Some of the walking paths was closed for some reason so we had one option to go back and forth the same way. We did not mind as the view was stunning. We walked until we reached one of the modern skywalks that is popular in this mountain and then we walked back to the starting point. There are coffee shops in the mountain with both food and refreshments however we had brought sandwiches so we made a picnic at some big stones by one of the viewing points. This mountain reminded me very much of the Hallelujah mountains in Zhangjiajie where we went last November. I hope to come back to this one when the weather is better and preferably when the trees are green and the flowers are in bloom. To go back to the city we spent almost an hour more than coming there as we stoped quite some time at one of the checkpoints where we had to show our ID. The sunlight softens, the sea surface starts to shimmer with gold, and you won't need filters for your photos. 📍 Walk through the Zhapo Fishing Port Market, where you'll find fish and shrimp that have just been brought ashore.
