I recently visited Nogunsan, and it was truly a magical experience! Upon reaching the summit, the sight of clouds flowing by felt like stepping into heaven. Even the journey up via cable car was filled with captivating views. Passing through the forest, I enjoyed the soothing sounds of birds, which brought a sense of tranquility. Once I got off the cable car and started walking, the scenery of stone steps and wooden structures blended beautifully. At the summit, the view before my eyes was indescribably stunning. The distant mountain ranges combined with the clouds created a breathtakingly surreal landscape. Nogunsan is a place where you can truly feel the grandeur of nature. Though my body was tired, my mind felt at ease, and my spirits were uplifted. I definitely want to visit again next time!

Laojun Mountain Guide The night before, we stayed at Panshan Youli Homestay, about 300 meters from the Yun Jing Cableway in the scenic area. Visitors over 60 years old are exempt from the scenic area entrance fee; just bring your ID card to the visitor center to register and buy a 5 yuan insurance. You can drive into the scenic area and park at the homestay parking lot. The next day, after breakfast, depart from the hotel at 8:30 AM. First, take the first-level Yun Jing Cableway up the mountain round trip for 130 yuan, then take the second-level Fenglin Cableway round trip for 80 yuan. After getting off the second-level cableway, you reach the starting point of the Ten-Mile Painted Screen, the Fairyland Tunnel, which is charming. From here, it takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes to walk to the summit. There is a sightseeing elevator halfway that goes directly to the summit, saving about 40 minutes, but it was under maintenance and not operating when we visited. At the summit is the Golden Summit Taoist Temple complex, with the main temples being Laojun Temple and the Golden Hall. Above them are the Jade Emperor Peak and Liangbao Terrace, which require climbing dozens of steep steps. To descend from the summit, there is a slide similar to a slide, costing 20 yuan per person; those over 60 are not allowed to slide. The slide goes down to the second-level cableway station. If you don’t take the slide, it’s a 20-minute walk to the second-level cableway station, then take the second-level cableway down, followed by the first-level cableway down. The whole trip takes about 4 and a half hours. (If you want to see the lights, you can go up the mountain after noon, but the cableway lines will be very long and crowded at noon. The first-level cableway includes Yun Jing Cableway and Zhong Ling Cableway. We stayed next to the Yun Jing Cableway. This homestay has rooms with balconies and great views. The owner is nice, and guests who check in can receive a blessing plaque. Hiking sticks left by previous guests are available for the next group of hikers to use, but availability depends, so you can ask the front desk.)

It is known as the "Number One Cave in the North." This is a limestone karst cave featuring a unique karst landscape, named for its shape resembling a rooster's comb. The temperature inside Jiguan Cave remains a constant 18 degrees Celsius year-round, cool and humid in summer, warm like spring in winter. Even in early November, visitors can enjoy the beauty of red leaves in the scenic area, with a comfortable indoor temperature. Jiguan Cave mainly consists of eight scenic areas: Grand River Scenery, Nuwa Palace, Hundred Flowers Garden, Coral Palace, Five-Color Pool, Stone Forest, and Maze. The stalactites and stalagmites are particularly remarkable, growing only 1 centimeter every 100 years, with the longest stalagmite taking 600 million years to form.
