Choosing this hotel was absolutely the right decision. We felt completely at home. The location is excellent—close to everything in Manhattan and with a subway station almost at the door. We requested a room with a view, and the sight of the Skyline from our window was simply breathtaking. Fantastic. The staff deserves special recognition, especially Julio for his kindness, professionalism, and warm approach. Without a doubt, staying at this Spanish-owned hotel was a great choice. And if you're not fluent in English, don't worry; most of the staff either speaks or understands it. If I visit NY again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

If I planned to splurge on just one NYC activity, it had to be a helicopter ride over Manhattan, and HeliNY exceeded all expectations. Booking was effortless, instructions were clear about where to go and check in, and the staff were friendly and supportive. The safety process was efficient and straightforward. The flight itself was phenomenal and surprisingly smooth. Seeing the city from above was surreal—Manhattan felt enormous yet small at the same time. We were fortunate to have a clear day, making the views absolutely stunning. A must‑do that’s highly recommended.

We were absolutely delighted with our hotel during our stay. The location is truly excellent, right in Manhattan. It's just next to Grand Central and within walking distance of countless attractions: Central Park, Times Square, and more. Everything in Midtown can be explored on foot. The staff are friendly and always available. The room was very clean, equipped with a microwave and a small fridge. The shower had a proper shower head! The rooftop terrace, open 24/7, offers a lovely view of the buildings. We enjoyed having breakfast there in the morning (with unlimited coffee/tea) and even had dinner a few times by bringing our own food. I highly recommend this hotel—we truly loved our experience!

One of the most expensive experiences of our entire US trip was a helicopter ride over New York City. For the two of us, it cost about $500. But the funniest thing is that Stas (my husband) specifically paid extra for a guaranteed shoe selfie seat (where you can stick your feet out of the helicopter during the flight and take a photo of them right over New York City😍). I decided to take the cheapest ticket without seat selection, but I thought to myself, I'll get the best seat... When they assigned us, it turned out I'd be sitting RIGHT NEXT TO THE PILOT – in a piggyback seat. At first, I was a little upset. For some reason, I thought the front of the cabin would be enclosed, and Stas would be taking beautiful photos of his feet over Manhattan, while I'd just be looking at everything through the glass. But it turned out I had an open seat too! And on top of that, I was sitting up front, so I had a nearly 180-degree view of New York City😍 So I saw not only what was to the side, but everything we were flying to🔥 In the end, Stas paid for a guaranteed seat, and I bought the cheapest ticket and got, I think, the best seat in the entire helicopter😂 And then they extended our flight time for free. We specifically took the shortest route (30 minutes). Once there, they offered us an extra charge for a longer flight, but we decided the shortest route was enough. So we declined. But as we later discovered, the other passengers in our group had purchased the longer program. In the end, they told us they were giving us the longer route for free😍 So we got another random upgrade🔥 What can you see from above? Practically all of Manhattan. We flew over the city, seeing Central Park, the skyscrapers, the Statue of Liberty, and all that famous New York skyline from above, which we'd seen hundreds of times in movies. I was especially impressed by Central Park. When you walk through it, you realize how huge it is. But only from above does it become clear just how gigantic a green rectangle it is amidst endless skyscrapers. And the photos of my feet above New York City are a special delight 😍 Was it worth the $500? For me, definitely yes. Expensive? Of course. But of all the excursions in New York, I would definitely repeat this flight. Especially if it's your first time in the city. Afternoon sunlight streams through the massive floor-to-ceiling windows, slanting across the sandstone blocks of the Temple of Dendur. Outside, the greenery of Central Park sways in the breeze; inside, Egyptian deity reliefs from two thousand years ago remain. The remnants of ancient civilization and the modern metropolis converge in this singular moment. The most wondrous moment of standing before an original masterpiece is noticing the tiny stray bristles and the fine cracks in the dried paint left by an artist centuries ago—it is a poignant reminder that both the brilliance and the solitude of civilization were profoundly real.

This hotel is ideal for parents of Pace University students, located just around the corner from the school and dorms. I greatly appreciated having this space to help my daughter transition into her dorm. We first stayed at M Social when she was considering Pace, but I couldn’t book early enough for orientation and had to stay at a different hotel. Never again! I already have my next visit booked with M Social. For other parents, I highly recommend reserving your stay early to secure a room. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and quiet, with stunning views. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the hotel’s convenient location near the University makes it worth every penny. Multiple subway stations are just a block away; I personally used the E train at the WTC station to travel around Manhattan. Plus, you'll find endless dining options nearby. This is truly the perfect hotel for downtown Manhattan, and I now consider it my home away from home in NYC. ♥️

The bridge is spectacular and very beautiful. We walked across it twice, once during the day and once at night. At night, it's amazing to see all of Manhattan lit up. However, I didn't like that the bridge was almost impossible to walk because there were so many people selling things on the ground, making it hard for us to pass.

If you’re looking for one unforgettable night view in New York, I’d recommend visiting the Empire State Building after sunset. What surprised me was that it isn’t just an observation deck. On the way up, there are exhibitions about the history and construction of the building, old New York, and its appearances in movies and pop culture. I especially loved the interactive displays — so don’t rush straight to the top. Then comes the highlight: the 86th-floor observatory. Seeing Manhattan completely lit up at night was one of my favourite views in New York. The streets look like glowing lines between the skyscrapers, and the city feels completely different from daytime. 🌃 My biggest tip: visit at night. Ralph is a gem and, having visited Jamaica several times, we quickly clicked and had wonderful conversations. He was attentive and welcoming, traits that defined my experience with the entire team. The Beekman Tower Midtown is absolutely amazing! We were a group of eight (2 adults and 6 teens) staying for two nights, and everything about our stay was fantastic. We booked the 4-bedroom penthouse, unit 24A, which was impeccably clean, spacious, and well-furnished. The apartment boasts three large balconies, each offering unique views of this stunning art deco building. The views were breathtaking, including the East River, downtown, uptown, and crosstown. These balconies, approximately 20 feet long by 4.5 feet deep at certain points, were undoubtedly a highlight. The apartment features four bedrooms with sturdy and comfortable beds. Two rooms had queen beds with en-suite bathrooms, while a larger king bedroom and a smaller queen bedroom shared a spacious bathroom with a walk-in closet conveniently located nearby. Most bedrooms, except the smaller queen room, had direct balcony access. One queen bedroom with an en-suite also had an extra long room aligned with a private balcony. Although the kitchen was small, it was still larger than most in Manhattan, equipped with a dishwasher, a four-burner gas stove, a medium-sized refrigerator, and a sink. Both the living and dining rooms were modest in size but still more spacious than typical Manhattan apartments—unless you're wealthy, of course! The neighborhood was quiet by Manhattan standards yet full of nearby restaurants, delis, shops, and small supermarkets. Everything we needed was within walking distance, with excellent access to public transit. We drove in from Long Island and Queens and managed to secure free street parking right in front of the hotel—a rare luxury in Manhattan! For those unable to find street parking, there are parking garages a block away, though if you do park on the street, be sure to read the signs and move your car accordingly to avoid tickets or towing. The front desk staff was phenomenal—courteous, knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and incredibly kind. They were always ready to assist with a smile, no matter the time of day. We celebrated my daughter's sweet 16 and arrived with six teenagers and two fully loaded trolleys of luggage. The staff kindly helped us and stored our belongings until the room was ready. Truly, it was the best service we've ever received at any Manhattan hotel. Our trip was incredible, and we can't wait to return to the Beekman Tower! Standing right in front of the Empire State Building was one of my most unforgettable city‑sightseeing moments during my trip to New York. I had long seen countless photos of this iconic skyscraper online, yet nothing compares to witnessing its real‑life grandeur in person. I arrived in the late‑afternoon hours, planning to stay up on the observation deck to catch the transition from bright daylight to glowing city dusk. Buying tickets online ahead of time saved me from standing in lengthy on‑site queues, a tip I wish I had known on my earlier city trips. When I stepped onto the viewing platform, the whole New York skyline unfolded right before my eyes. Midtown Manhattan’s dense cluster of high‑rises stretches far into the distance, different buildings with unique architectural shapes stacked next to one another, roads crisscrossing below with tiny moving vehicles. The sunlight softly brushed over glass facades, casting shifting reflections across the whole urban landscape. I spent quite a long time slowly scanning every direction, noticing how skyscrapers frame one another and how lower‑rise neighbourhoods break the solid wall of tall buildings, bringing nice layers to this famous skyline. Many travellers rush through their visit just to snap a quick photo and leave. I would highly recommend slowing down here. Take your time walking around the observation deck, try different viewing angles, and watch how light changes the atmosphere of the skyline minute by minute. If your schedule allows, stick around until sunset. The warm golden glow gradually fades away, streetlights and building lights flicker on one after another, turning the Manhattan skyline into a completely different scene full of warm urban charm. It is not merely a landmark check‑in spot; it is a perfect place to pause and appreciate the magnificent urban silhouette shaped by decades of city development. #skylinescapes

A lovely and comfortable hotel situated in a pleasant location, especially quiet compared to the Times Square area. The room was spacious, and the staff polite and attentive. The cleanliness of the rooms and the bathroom was commendable, with the bathroom offering enough space and a good shower. The king-size bed was both large and comfortable. Additionally, the hotel's location is convenient, with the Lexington subway station just a few minutes' walk away, as well as several charming breakfast spots nearby. Definitely a clear recommendation for a stay in Manhattan.

🎬 The New York deli from When Harry Met Sally One of the most famous restaurant scenes in cinema was filmed right here — at Katz’s Delicatessen on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. This is the table where Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal filmed the unforgettable scene from When Harry Met Sally. A sign still hangs above it, turning an ordinary deli table into a small piece of movie history. But Katz’s was already a New York institution long before Hollywood arrived. The deli traces its history back to 1888, when the original business opened on Ludlow Street. More than a century later, Katz’s is still known for its busy counters, neon signs, hanging salamis, numbered tickets, and enormous hand-carved sandwiches. 🥪 What to order The classic choice is pastrami on rye with mustard and pickles. The pastrami is cured slowly, carved by hand at the counter, and stacked generously between slices of rye bread. Central Park was one of my favourite parts of New York mainly because after a few days of Manhattan chaos, it feels SO nice to suddenly have some space. 😂🌳 It’s absolutely huge, so don’t make the mistake of thinking you’ll just “have a quick walk around”. Pick a few places you want to see and give yourself a good couple of hours to wander. There are gorgeous views of the Manhattan skyline between the trees, lakes, bridges and so many little spots that feel completely removed from the city around you. My tip would be to grab a coffee, wear comfy shoes and don’t over-plan it. Just wandering around and taking it all in was half the fun. One of the most interesting places to visit in New York isn’t a viewpoint, a museum or a skyscraper — it’s the United Nations Headquarters. 🏛️🌎 Right in Manhattan, overlooking the East River, the UN brings together 193 member countries under one roof. 🇺🇳 Walk past the famous flags The first thing you notice is the row of flags representing the UN member states. It’s one of those simple NYC moments that makes you stop and think about just how many different countries are represented here. 🏛️ Step inside Depending on the day and current visitor access, you can visit the public areas and see some of the famous spaces connected to the UN, including the General Assembly Hall and other meeting rooms where world leaders and diplomats gather. 🌍 You’re literally walking through a place where decisions affecting countries all over the world are discussed. 💰 And here’s the interesting part… You can visit the UN complex grounds and public areas for free, while guided tours and access to certain interior areas may require a ticket or reservation. We had a fantastic sightseeing trip around Manhattan on the Queen Mary 2 during our round-trip trans-Atlantic crossing from Southampton. Curt greeted us at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal by the coach, and as soon as we set off, he provided us with an engaging and fascinating commentary about all the sights. His extensive knowledge of New York made the tour extremely enjoyable and informative. Having been on numerous sightseeing tours through Cunard before, I can honestly say this was one of the most entertaining and memorable ones. Curt was exceptionally kind and considerate to everyone on the tour, especially taking care of elderly or less mobile passengers. He made a special effort to encourage them to get off the coach and enjoy the stops whenever possible. His patience and thoughtful assistance were truly commendable, ensuring that everyone had a wonderful experience. I was deeply touched by his genuine concern and commitment to making the trip enjoyable for every participant. Thanks to Curt, this sightseeing tour was an unforgettable experience.

To visit Top Of The Rock, we chose an express pass to reach the 67th floor, one of the main observation decks. Although it wasn’t necessary on the day we went, queues of up to an hour for the elevator aren't unusual, so we decided to err on the side of caution. The 67th floor featured indoor viewing areas, outdoor terraces, and, most importantly at the time, the Weather Room café—a great way to start any visit. We enjoyed a leisurely drink while people-watching before heading up to the 69th floor (there’s no access to the 68th). The 69th floor, known as Breezeway, has a 360-degree outdoor terrace enclosed by glass. This skyscraper, the furthest north of the ones we visited in Manhattan (still technically in Midtown), offered unique views of the skyline looking south and Central Park to the north. Finally, we reached the 70th floor—the highest observation deck—which provides unobstructed, glass-free panoramic views of the city and houses the Skylift. We consciously skipped two of the biggest draws at Top Of The Rock. The first, The Beam, allowed visitors to recreate the iconic “Lunch atop a Skyscraper” photo, but since we’re not into taking pictures, we opted out. Secondly, the Skylift, a circular open-air platform with anti-shatter glass that rises 50 feet above the 850-foot-high observation deck while slowly rotating, didn’t make our list. While we were intrigued by its frosted-to-transparent glass floor, the $64 per person price tag and the brief 3.5-minute duration helped us decide not to participate. Watching others take the ride confirmed our decision. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Top Of The Rock. Its unique location allows for a different and striking perspective of Manhattan. Although we skipped The Beam and Skylift, we have no regrets. If we were to return, we’d like to experience it at dusk or nighttime, as it remains open until midnight.

After nearly a decade in NYC, my husband and I relocated out of state but still frequently visit for work, weddings, and social events. Upon discovering The Gotham, it became our go-to spot—and truly feels like a home away from home. The front desk and bell staff are remarkably warm, always sending us off to events with excitement, offering to snap photos when we’re dressed up, and greeting us warmly upon return. The atmosphere is friendly and not overly formal, which makes for a refreshing change in bustling Manhattan. The management team consistently goes above and beyond, always accommodating, responsive, and thoughtful. The rooms are incredibly spacious—huge by Manhattan standards—and immaculately clean, often surpassing higher-end boutique hotels we’ve stayed in. Plus, the location is perfect for accessing many areas across the city. The on-site restaurant/bar is another highlight. Breakfast room service is phenomenal (I still think about the avocado toast), and the bar offers a perfect spot for a pre-dinner cocktail or a relaxing meal before heading out. What I appreciate most about The Gotham is its lack of pretension—it’s not a flashy five-star hotel, and that’s a compliment. Instead, it provides exceptional value with oversized, clean rooms, a prime location, and a welcoming and down-to-earth atmosphere. As former New Yorkers, we love the balance The Gotham strikes—staff are helpful and friendly yet allow guests to feel independent and at ease. It’s clean, comfortable, quiet (a Midtown rarity), and focused on doing the essentials perfectly. Whether we’re visiting for business or pleasure, it checks every box. We’re looking forward to another memorable stay this summer and will always cherish the special experiences The Gotham has given us.
