New Caledonia travel guide and discussion

About 30 minutes by bus from Anse Vata in New Caledonia, Over the hill is the Michel Corbasson Nature Park🦜 The zoo is located in a natural environment in the forest. Many colorful birds unique to the tropics are on display, and the flightless bird "kagu", which is the national bird, was particularly cute! In the relaxed environment, there are also many peacocks walking around free-roaming🦚 Rather than a zoo, it is for people who want to enjoy nature at their own pace◎ #NewCaledonia #NaturePark

20 minutes by boat from the main island of New Caledonia We went on our honeymoon to Maitre Island, a resort owned by Hilton. We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Noumea The view from the room was amazing! We saw sea turtles in the morning, the food was delicious, there were plenty of marine activities, and we had a great time! Recommended for those who want to spend an elegant time, those who want to stay at a hotel, those who want to stay in a water cottage but want to keep costs as low as possible (about 60,000 yen for two people per night)! #NewCaledonia #MatreIsland #WaterCottage

#easytravelpost Mont Humboldt (1,618 m) is the granite massif south of Nouméa, the mossy maquis — dwarf Araucaria scrub, Podocarpus, and endemic Pancheria — belt the 1,000–1,400 m ridge where trade-wind cloud dumps 4,000 mm/yr. No park fee, free trail from Pic du Grand Kaori car park (D45), Nouméa→Yaté 1.5 hrs drive (rental 7,000 XPF/day, IDP needed), local guide 2,000 XPF optional. May–Oct dry; Dec–Mar cyclone closure risk. I rented in Nouméa (7,000 XPF), drove to the Grand Kaori car park 07:00, walked the ridge track. The moss is the Humboldt maquis: Racomitrium on the granite slabs 1 cm, Thuidium on the Araucaria seedling crowns 1 cm, 8°C in July, a New Caledonian crow, the Yaté lagoon turquoise east. I reached the 1,300 m mossy col 09:30, moss on the old nickel-prospector cairn black-green, ate a 350 XPF Nouméa boulangerie sandwich, watched a white-bellied goshawk work the maquis. Mistake: I drove the D45 in a 2WD hatchback after rain — washed out at the Kaori bridge, walked 4 km; 4×4 or turn at the Yaté ranger station. Another: XPF is the only currency, no EUR card at the Yaté store — draw in Nouméa. Would you rent 7,000 XPF + free trail for the Nouméa→Humboldt mossy maquis-ridge day, or skip the summit and do the easier Yaté Dam–Maisons de Caillou walk instead?

go see it. I'm really looking forward to it!! 🌴🌴🌴 New Caledonia is a large island of French Polynesia, located in the South Pacific, with an area of nearly 27,000 square kilometers. #springtravel Vallée des Colons in South Province gives a totally different vibe compared to the usual tourist spots around Noumea. It feels more local and lived in, with quiet streets, simple houses, and a relaxed everyday atmosphere. Walking around here is not about big attractions, it is more about soaking in real life in the city. You might pass small shops, friendly faces, and just get that authentic neighborhood feel. It is calm but not boring, and it shows a side of New Caledonia that feels more genuine. If you are curious about how locals actually live, this area is worth exploring. It is simple, low key, and surprisingly refreshing.

Île des Pins, also known locally as "Kunie (The Jewel of the Sea)💎," is one of the most beautiful islands🏝️✨ representing New Caledonia🇳🇨. The island boasts emerald-blue, crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches, surrounded by lush natural landscapes filled with towering Araucaria trees. Île des Pins is home to some of the world's most stunning beaches, such as Kuto Beach and Kanumera Beach, making it an ideal destination for snorkeling and diving🌊✨. Additionally, the island features charming resort hotels where you can unwind and relax at your leisure✨.

Often referred to as the hidden gem of New Caledonia 🇳🇨, Maré Island is a breathtakingly beautiful island covered entirely by untouched tropical rainforest 🌳🌊. The island is home to numerous attractions, including the mysterious "Pethoen Cave" adorned with countless stalactites, and the legendary "Warrior's Leap," said to be where a brave hero once jumped across ✨. Its pristine white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, such as "Wabao Beach" and "Chengaité Beach," are truly stunning ✨.

#holidayitinerary Exploring Îles des Pins feels like discovering a slice of paradise tucked away in the Pacific. The water is unbelievably clear, shifting between shades of turquoise and deep blue, and the white sandy beaches look almost unreal. Tall pine trees line the shore, giving the island its iconic scenery. The pace here is slow and relaxed, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or just lying on the beach with nothing on your mind. The coral reefs are full of colorful marine life, and it is easy to spend hours in the water exploring. On land, there are friendly villages and small markets where you can taste local food and learn about the culture. I loved wandering along quiet paths that lead to hidden coves with barely anyone around. Sunsets are magical, with the sky turning gold and pink over the calm sea. Îles des Pins is the kind of place that makes you wish time would slow down so you could enjoy it just a little longer.

Every time I step onto the cruise deck, with the salty sea breeze brushing my face, I always hear a voice in my heart saying, "So this is what freedom tastes like—the flavor of the ocean." That little boy who once dreamed of traveling the world while spinning a globe decades ago probably never imagined that a cruise ship would piece together his dreams in the gentlest way possible. The waves of the South Pacific always carry a mysterious invitation. As the Ruby Princess cuts through the deep blue waters, those island nations—mere pinpricks on the map—suddenly leap over the horizon like emeralds casually tossed by the hand of God. Once-distant places like Vanuatu’s volcanic islands and Fiji’s seven-colored seas become measurable coordinates on the itinerary. The cruise’s unique philosophy of "slow travel" transforms each destination into a carefully unwrapped gift—you never know what kind of paradise will appear outside your window at dawn. The deck is a floating utopia. Morning yoga stretches under the rising sun, while the lazy rhythm of jazz and clinking cocktail glasses by the pool sets the tone for midday. But the most enchanting moments are the idle ones: leaning against the railing to watch albatrosses skim the waves, letting the sea breeze scatter your thoughts like wisps of cloud. When dusk turns the sea and sky amber, and the open-air cinema lights up under the stars, you realize the ocean itself is a theater with a never-ending show. In this moving castle, travel is no longer an exhausting journey but an immersive experience of life itself.

As the Ruby Princess slowly departed from the port, I leaned against the deck railing, counting the rhythm of the disappearing skyline. Amidst the mingling laughter and conversations in English, French, and German around me, silver-white hair fluttered in the sea breeze like waves, as if the entire ship was enveloped in an elegant twilight. The cruise line clearly understands the hidden desires of the silver-haired generation. Every morning, a gray-haired professor lectures on ancient Greek philosophy in the observation lounge, while elderly ladies in the front row diligently take notes with gilded pens, their parchment notebooks holding art catalogs from yesterday’s auction. This 18-story floating palace is itself a meticulously crafted work of art. Beneath Baroque domes, crystal chandeliers illuminate marble columns, and in the mirrored halls, silver-haired gentlemen escort ladies adorned with shimmering pearl necklaces, their reflections fractured into fragments of time by countless prisms. Walking through the library with its Persian carpets, I spotted an octogenarian sketching Monet’s water lilies by the floor-to-ceiling window, the wet oil paints on the easel mirroring the real sunset over the sea outside. In this maritime utopia designed for the golden years, every detail resonates with the rhythm of life. Perhaps true luxury lies not in gold-leaf decorations but in the dignified extension of time—just like those silver-haired souls who never stop learning, feeling, and loving, turning the rest of their lives into a voyage with no final port.

I took advantage of Golden Week to go to New Caledonia🇳🇨, the island that is said to be the closest to heaven in the world! The sea is so clear that you can see all the fish swimming 🐠🫧 Compared to Phuket and Hawaii, there are fewer tourists and the population density is low, so it is really recommended for those who want to relax at a resort ✨ There is only a 2-hour time difference with Japan, so there is no need to worry about jet lag lol ⚠️The UV rays are 7-8 times stronger than in Japan, so don't forget to use sunscreen 🧴I also came back with a Japanese flag (sunburn) on my back lol ------Overview--------------------------- ✈️Airline: Aircalin 🕰️Flight time: 8.5 hours on a direct flight 🎡Tourist attractions: The sea of Noumea, Ile des Pins, Ouvéa, and Maitre 🐚Activities: SUP, snorkeling, jet skiing 🏨Hotel: Double tree by hilton, Le meridien 🛒Shopping: Prices are so high that I don't recommend shopping ~ #Instagramworthy #Travel #Overseas travel #New Caledonia #Airplane #Girls trip #Seaside scenery #Ocean #France #Island

our gorgeous cruise to New Caledonia. trip to Maree island and Noumea! was absolutely stunning, the water was beautiful, the people are simply stunning inside and out and it’s a gorgeous place all round! 100% recommend a cruise

The Blue River National Park in New Caledonia is located in the northeast of the main island of New Kay, a red land, and the dead trees in the lake have been for decades. Come here to kayaking in the dead woods of the lake, a unique experience. There are still many birds in the park. I have encountered the "Island Bird" Heron Crane in Xinka, I can't fly, I am not afraid of people at all, and my IQ is worrying.

The French island of New Caledonia on the South Pacific is known as the closest to heaven. The main island is the world's largest, world heritage lagoon. On the plane, the main island is a continuous green hill, and the coast is surrounded by small islands like jewels. The color is beautiful and intoxicating. New Caledonia is suitable for holidays all year round, especially for sea sports, which are popular with Australian and Japanese tourists. For Chinese tourists, this is a new destination worth exploring.

New Caledonia is a French island nation in the South Pacific, combining the indigenous culture of Carnac and the influence of the French colonial period. The fusion of modernity and tradition can be experienced in the traditional culture and art museum in the capital of Noumea! strongly recommend the traditional Kanak lunch in the museum, cooking on the spot, and learning to make traditional tableware. After eating traditional dishes, you can also sit under the tree and drink coffee. The museum is divided into traditional Aboriginal culture and modern art districts. The traditional cultural district also includes different buildings throughout New Caledonia. Each one is different. It is equivalent to visiting New Delhi. Various areas. The modern art district combines traditional culture with an interactive area for children to play and draw here.

New Caledonian Brai's must-have dinner The hotel's booking of this mountaintop sunset experience is said to be limited every day. When you come over. Although it is an island country, the annual average temperature is 28 degrees, but the mountain is still very cold at night, it is recommended to wear a sweater or jacket. The meal is open-air, probably after the sunset, after the summit, there will be red wine, cheese, ham and other snacks. After the sunset, the dinner will be officially opened. Meals are the family food of the locals of Niigata. They are cooked by the land director of this land~

Compared to many islands, there are many distinctive features. First of all, there are a lot of virgin forests, so there are many different experiences. In the morning, the farmer and his friends drove two off-road vehicles to the hotel to pick us up to his home. Speaking of it, he is still a New Caledonian with one-sixth of Chinese descent, because his ancestors are Australian Chinese. Her wife was in the clothing business in the early years, and they had come to Guangzhou to purchase goods together. So we are particularly enthusiastic to see. The mountain road is winding, and the owner is a light road. Some bumps, but the scenery is beautiful. The host and we said that if you are lucky, you will see a group of wild deer, where the wild deer are as many as the Australian kangaroos. However, we did not see the wild deer, but at the lunch time, we had a hearty roast venison. There are many cows on the farm. In addition to eating naturally grown grass, the hostess will regularly feed them pumpkins. This is also a very delicious food.

If there is a point in the world where heaven is connected, it must be a seat on the ocean like a pearl. And which island is specific, I think everyone has their own answer in mind. And what I want to introduce to myself is a place that is not yet known to the Chinese - New Caledonia, a French Pacific overseas land. Naturally formed heart-shaped wetland is one of the symbols of Xinka. It is definitely a good place to propose marriage from the seaplane to pass the love from God. The country grassland here is also a holy place for horseback riding. It is a vast expanse of grassland, and it is a great experience for the nobility. The lesser people are disturbed, the marine life and people here are even more distant, and the surface snorkeling is in close contact with the turtles. It is definitely a rare place.

Noumea, the capital of New Caledonia, is built on a peninsula. The buildings are very southern in France, but many places are similar to Qingdao and Yantai. The yachts are scattered all over the place, and various hotels abound. The winding roads give the coastline a beautiful curve. You can see that some historical sites and cultural sites are dotted between the cities. This is our trip to South Asia. The largest city in the world. The high-end and mid-range hotels are dotted with sunlight, beaches, waves, coconut trees, corals and reefs. They form a beautiful picture. Every foreign person gives God a gift of new Kay. Awkward. There is a graffiti art park on the top of the mountain. You can take a small train and move to a high place to see the small island in the distance.

The main island of New Caledonia, the island of Odi, is about half the size of the island of Taiwan. It is separated from the east and west coasts by the central mountain range. On the west coast of Xinka, especially in the Bourail area, there are many farms in Texas. The car drove into the farm, the road became rough and ups and downs, when the off-road vehicle climbed up a hillside, we got off and looked around, the rolling hills in the distance, the hills and shrubs at the foot, the white low clouds Very wild west atmosphere. The car continued to move forward, and soon I saw Mrs. Baronnets wife, Cindy, who was standing in a pickup truck and shattered pumpkins on the grass. It is a good meal around the herd. Then Baronnet took us on a tour of the farm's stables and cows. He personally showed us that as long as the cattle were driven into the passage, the cowboys could drive the cattle through different fixed revolving doors. Area. The sun, vegetation and facilities in front of us look like how the farms in the western American film, but Baronnet's explanation does not have a signature Texas accent. In this 140-hectare NEMEARA farm, there is both a sense of sight in the African savannah and a cowboy life in the American West. In the past few years, the owner has also built a homestay and a tree house on the farm to provide visitors with an authentic farm life experience.

New Caledonia stretches its slender figure in the heart of the South Pacific Ocean. It is an island at the end of the world, nestled in the innocent turquoise waters. New Caledonia has one of the largest lagoons in the world and is one of the most diverse tropical islands in the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the most abundant tropical forests in the world. There are a variety of corals and fish in the lagoon, which is home to the world's most diverse coral reefs, and is home to a large number of large fish species that are extremely rich in species. The lagoon is home to many endangered fish, sea turtles and marine mammals. Among them, the number of dugongs ranks third in the world. The natural scenery of these lagoons is extremely beautiful. There are coral reefs in different periods in the lake. There are both living coral reefs and ancient coral reef fossils. It is no wonder that Europeans and Americans call it a seven-star island.

A word rumored in New Caledonia; "God was in a very good mood when building it. So it was beautifully shaped." New Caledonia is the most romantic in the world. One of the places, because it has a naturally formed heart shape of mangroves, like in the confession of nature. For this love, we must not miss this island. New Caledonia has fresh oxygen, green vegetation, white sandy beaches, colourful coral reefs, chieftain's steeple houses, French cuisine; the oldest island group at the end of the world, lying innocent Among the blue sea and the blue sky, it is like the last paradise.
