Sharing a beautiful mountain grassland hidden near Nanning 🏔️ Feitian Grassland in Longgang, Mashan, is lush and green right now—it's truly picturesque. It's a hidden gem for escaping the city hustle! 📍Location: Search for "Longgang" on Baidu Maps. Once you enter the village, turn left and follow the concrete road to the end. 💡Helpful tips: ✅There is no parking lot at the destination, so just park orderly on the side of the road. ✅The grassland is quite primitive—it's unmanaged, free to enter, and has no shops, so remember to bring your own water and snacks. ❌Please do not drive onto the grass! Don't litter, don't trample the grass, and absolutely no fires. Be a responsible traveler. Before it goes viral, grab your camera and go experience the healing power of this mountain grassland! 💚

I've discovered a treasure of a road trip destination around Nanning! Hidden in the mountains of Mashan, Nongla scenic area features red-walled ancient temples paired with a sea of karst peaks. You can experience Zen landscapes for free, perfect for a weekend getaway with great vibes. Nongla has a super high forest coverage rate. Walking into the mountains, you're surrounded by lush greenery and plenty of negative oxygen ions—a true natural forest oxygen bar. The Jingang Putuo Temple, built against the mountain, is the core attraction. Its red walls and golden roofs rise layer by layer, earning it the nickname "Guangxi's Little Potala Palace." Standing on the platform and looking out, the rolling peaks spread out before you. When clouds and mist drift over the mountain tops, it's like a traditional ink painting wonderland. Walking slowly up the steps, you can burn incense to pray for blessings, or overlook the entire Nongla peak cluster from the viewing platform. The mountain scenery is vast and grand. This is also a classic stage of the Tour of Guangxi cycling race. The winding mountain roads have continuous curves, and the drive is scenic every step of the way. If you have limited energy, you can take the sightseeing bus up the mountain instead of struggling with the long climb. There are also suspension bridges and a rocky desertification science museum on the mountain, so you can enjoy the scenery while learning about local ecological stories. When you're tired of walking, feel the mountain breeze, get away from the city hustle and bustle, and find peace of mind. 📝Practical travel tips 🕒The scenic area is open all day, and Putuo Temple is open 8:00 AM–6:00 PM. We recommend a visit of 2–3 hours. The light is soft in the afternoon, which is great for photos. 🎫Admission is free. Round-trip sightseeing bus is CNY 30. Discounts for seniors aged 65 and older. Parking is CNY 20. Bringing your own incense is prohibited in the temple; incense and candles are available for purchase. 🚗1.5–2 hours drive from Nanning. The final stretch of mountain road has many curves; beginners should drive with caution. Public transport is not very convenient; driving is recommended. 💡Tips: Limited supplies on the mountain, so bring your own drinking water and snacks. The UV rays are strong, so use sun protection. There are many steps, so be sure to wear comfortable, non-slip sneakers. Ancient temples hidden in the forest, peaks like a painting. Nanning 1.5h journey into the real-life “Galactic core”! Explore a billion-year-old starry cave for free and cure my mental burnout Ladies, listen up! If your impression of Guangxi is still crowded spots in Guilin and Yangshuo, you’re really missing out! This time, I discovered a hidden treasure deep in the mountains of Mashan — Neigan Cave (also called Starry Sky Cave). The entrance looks like a gateway to another world. Inside, it’s pitch black, but when you shine a flashlight, billion-year-old stalactites and crystal walls light up instantly, like bringing the entire Milky Way to the earth’s core. The best part — free admission, just 1.5 hours away, with three “starry domes” hidden inside. You can unlock a magical “earth core exploration” adventure in just one day and night on the weekend! 🌌 1. Why is it the “top adventure spot in Guangxi”? The “Galactic core” is within reach, photos come with a cosmic filter Neigan Cave is an undeveloped karst cave. It’s completely dark inside, but when light hits the crystal formations on the ceiling, it creates a starry sky effect like the Milky Way falling down. There are three natural “starry domes” inside. A flashlight sweep reveals thousands of crystals reflecting starlight, almost unreal to the naked eye. There’s also a dreamy blue-green pool called the “deep blue eye,” which looks peaceful and mysterious under the light. Rich terrain, a natural playground for outdoor lovers The cave passages stretch about 2 km with a complex network of upper, middle, and lower levels. Bats roost on the ceiling, an underground river flows at the bottom, and the cliff walls in the middle are perfect for hiking through. The cave is humid with lots of loose stones, and some sections are steep and slippery, requiring hands and feet to navigate. The terrain is challenging. 2. How to get there? Practical tips 📍 Location: Neigan Village, Limin Village, Guling Town, Mashan County, Nanning City 🚗 Driving directions: · About 1.5–2 hours from Nanning · Exit at Guling toll station on the highway · Navigate to “Mashan Xinlitun” or “Mengji Farmhouse,” then continue about 2 km after reaching the location. Turn right at the signposted fork and drive to the end of the road to find the parking area 🎟️ Cost: Free! Parking is free. There are free parking spots along the village road, but spaces are limited. ⏰ Duration: About 2–3 hours round-trip hiking 📸 Photo spots: Upward shots of the starry domes, reflections in the deep blue eye’s blue-green pool, and the “rainfall waterfall” light effect at the cave entrance ⚠️ Important safety tips! Neigan Cave is a wild, undeveloped cave with some risks. Please stay safe** Before entering, prepare the following: · Bring a strong flashlight or headlamp! There is no light inside, and it’s pitch black beyond 20 meters · Go with a group, never enter alone · Wear non-slip hiking shoes; the cave floor has many loose stones and slippery spots · Bats roost on the ceiling, and there may be odors inside. Wearing a mask is recommended · Wear a hat; bats may be active near the ceiling · Long sleeves, long pants, and a helmet to protect against scrapes from the rock walls · Strongly recommend hiring a professional guide for the whole trip to lead, set up lighting, and help with photos safely Leave no trace: don’t touch stalactites, don’t leave trash, don’t disturb the bats. There is no signal inside the cave and no shops or restaurants nearby, so bring your own food and water. Final thoughts Neigan Cave isn’t a “scenic spot.” It’s the “Galactic core” hidden deep in Mashan, a magical moment when you look up and see the starry sky inside a pitch-black cave. No roads, no lights, no signal, but when your flashlight turns on, you see the earth as it really is. Before it’s overdeveloped and while summer is hot, ladies, remember to wear non-slip shoes, bring a headlamp, go in groups, and just go for it! 🌌🔦

Summer is really, really hot! On the weekend, I hid away with friends in this hidden gem canyon in Mashan—Shuijin Shunzhuang—and it felt like I had stumbled into the “Guangxi version of Jiuzhaigou”! 📍Location: Shuijin Village, Leping, Guling Town, Mashan County, Nanning City 🚗 Transportation: About 1.5h drive from downtown Nanning. Just navigate to “Shuijin Shunzhuang Grand Canyon Tourist Area” ✨ What to do: 🌿 10 km canyon creek trekking: The water here is crystal clear! Follow the waterside trail, with waterfalls and streams all along the way. The water is ice-cold and super refreshing. Many spots are shallow, so it’s totally fine for kids to splash around. Find a shady spot, set up a table, and chill your fruit in the mountain spring water—pure bliss! 🌉 7D glass bridge challenge: 268 meters long, 108 meters high. Walking on it, your feet feel like the glass is cracking—full-on thrill! Afterward, take the S-shaped glass slide, sliding through the forest like a playground slide. For the brave, there’s also a high-altitude zipline and a heart-pounding cliff walk! 🏠 Stay on the cliff edge: The popular Songfeng’er cliffside guesthouse in the park has 270° panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the entire canyon! There are also dreamy bubble houses and charming traditional courtyard homes. Staying inside the park means no entrance or parking fees. Two days here is just right! 📸 Photo tips: Wear ethnic-style dresses standing on the creek’s stepping stones or use the bubble house as a backdrop for amazing shots! 🍜 What to eat: Highly recommend driving to Mashan town to try black goat! We went to “Happy Lamb Restaurant,” a local favorite! ⚠️ Tips to avoid trouble: ▫️ Glass bridge costs 68 RMB per person. If you don’t cross, you have to return the same way. Choose based on your preference ▫️ The canyon forest has many mosquitoes. Remember to bring insect repellent! If staying in the cliff house, book a room with a view in advance ▫️ If bringing kids, allow plenty of time for water play. There are shallow spots all along the way, so you don’t have to climb to the top Hiding out in the mountains in summer and just relaxing is pure joy! Grab whoever you want to bring and head out this weekend~💦

🚗 Transportation: It takes about 2.5 hours to drive from Nanning, and 1 hour from Mashan County. Location: Shangtun Dock, Mashan (see the last picture) 🌟 A quick note upfront: This was our first time paddleboarding, and the kids’ first time too. As long as you don’t move around wildly, you basically won’t fall into the water, and it’s very easy to operate. The water inside the cave is quite calm, and with life jackets, it’s very safe. [Yeah] ⛰️ There’s no commercial clutter here, just flowing water, stalactites, and peaceful breezes. You enter and exit the same way. Sometimes you’re stunned by the scenery ahead, then you turn around and say “wow” again. [Tiptop] ⚠️ 1. Bring a waterproof backpack and a towel in case you fall in and need to dry off. Use a waterproof case for your phone. 2. Swimwear isn’t mandatory, but your pants will definitely get wet, so it’s best to wear shorts. There are restrooms at the entrance for changing. 3. It’s not cold inside the cave, but there’s a section outdoors where you paddle, so wear a sun-protective shirt. 4. Paddleboards are rented on site. A guide leads groups of six into the cave. There’s no time limit on the rental. We played for about 3 hours total, so bring some snacks to recharge during the three-hour round trip. [TeaDrinker] 📷 Although it was the May Day holiday, there weren’t many people when we went! The key is to go early! Arrive around 10:30 to 11:00. We were the first group to enter with the guide and set up lights, so there are hardly any people in the photos. It gets busier in the afternoon. 🚣 We went to caves 7 and 8. Inside, it’s pitch dark, especially at the entrance where there’s only one light placed on a rock every so often (see photo 2). All photos were taken near the cave entrance where there was some light.
