#must-tryfood Naruto ramen 🍜 at Ichiraku Ramen in Fuji-Q Highland’s Naruto × Boruto Hidden Leaf Village is exactly the kind of meal that makes anime fans smile. The restaurant is filled with life-sized displays of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and other familiar characters, and the village-style décor adds a subtle but immersive touch that makes it feel like you’ve stepped into the Hidden Leaf Village 🍃 We ordered their special ramen bowls, and every element was well done. The noodles were firm and springy, holding the savory broth nicely. Each bowl had a Naruto swirl egg,, tender slices of char siu pork, fresh nori seaweed, crunchy bamboo shoots, and narutomaki fish cake, arranged neatly like in the anime. The broth was flavorful, with a balanced mix of miso and umami. The prices are comparable to a regular ramen restaurant outside the park, so it doesn’t feel like you’re paying extra just for the theme. Surrounded by the anime decorations, it’s easy to focus on enjoying the food and the experience without it feeling over the top. If you’re visiting Fuji-Q Highland, especially as a Naruto fan, Ichiraku Ramen is a convenient and satisfying stop. The ramen tastes like a solid bowl you’d get anywhere, with the added bonus of being in a themed environment that fans will appreciate ✨ 📍Ichiraku Ramen, Fuji-Q Highland #hotdiscussions #localfood #afternoonteatime #citydaytours #travel2026 #thingstodo #myitinerary #couplestrip #japan #fujikawaguchiko

Visited January 19, 2026. After having lunch at Michi-no-Eki Uzushio on Awaji Island, we drove across the Onaruto Bridge to Naruto Park in Tokushima, Shikoku. We parked at 2:36 PM and spent about an hour walking along "Uzu-no-Michi." 🌀 Walking Inside the Girders of Onaruto Bridge Uzu-no-Michi is a maritime walkway built directly beneath the roadway of the Onaruto Bridge, suspended about 45 meters above the sea. The path stretches roughly 450 meters from the entrance to the observation room at the end. The walkway is framed by white steel structures and glass windows, extending all the way to the center of the strait with a steady sea breeze. Along the path and in the observation room, there are several glass floor panels that allow you to look straight down at the waters of the Naruto Strait. 🌊 Viewing the Strait We reached the observation room around 3:00 PM. Looking down through the glass floor, the seawater was churning with white foam, and the current was very swift. The whirlpools aren't visible all day; the best viewing times change daily with the tides. The official website publishes daily high and low tide times along with a "whirlpool expectation level," so I recommend checking it before you go. Back at Naruto Park, the afternoon light hitting the Onaruto Bridge from beside the pine trees made for a great photo opportunity. 🎫 Practical Information (Official) ・Hours: Mar–Sep 9:00–18:00 (Last entry 17:30); Oct–Feb 9:00–17:00 (Last entry 16:30); Golden Week & Summer Holidays 8:00–19:00 ・Closed: 2nd Monday of Mar, Jun, Sep, and Dec ・Admission: Adults 510 yen, Middle/High School students 410 yen, Elementary students 260 yen, Under 6 Free ・Combo ticket with "Onaruto Bridge Memorial Museum EDDY": Adults 900 yen ・Address: Naruto-cho, Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture (Inside Naruto Park) 🚗 Transportation ・By Car: Approx. 5 minutes from "Naruto Kita IC" on the Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway ・No dedicated parking; use the Naruto Park parking lot (500 yen for standard cars) ・Navigation Tip: Set your destination to "Onaruto Bridge Memorial Museum EDDY." Setting it to "Uzu-no-Michi" might lead you to the wrong location. ・Express Bus: Approx. 1 hour 20 minutes from Sannomiya, approx. 50 minutes from Kousoku Maiko; get off at "Naruto Park-guchi" ・Local Bus: Approx. 25 minutes from JR Naruto Station to "Naruto Park," then a 5-minute walk 💡 Tips ・It gets windy over the sea; remember to bring a jacket in winter. ・You can squat down low on the glass floor to take photos of the current from directly above.

Mount Naruto Observatory is the ultimate spot to take in the magnificent scenery of the Seto Inland Sea. You get an incredible vantage point of the Onaruto Bridge stretching across the horizon where the sea meets the sky. The 360-degree unobstructed views are simply exhilarating. The scenery changes beautifully with the seasons—from cherry blossoms in the spring to vibrant foliage in the autumn—so you'll never be disappointed whenever you visit. It's easily accessible by car or bus, making it perfect for snapping some Instagram-worthy photos or simply soaking in nature's tranquility. Afterwards, you can check the tide schedule and take a short walk to Uzu no Michi to witness the famous whirlpools. · For a full panoramic shot of the Onaruto Bridge, the best photo spot is right in the center of the main observatory. · Pairing the ocean views with seasonal cherry blossoms or autumn leaves creates an absolutely dreamy composition. Tips: 1. We highly recommend bringing binoculars. If you're lucky, you can spot the mesmerizing Onaruto whirlpools from here! 2. Don't forget your sunglasses and an umbrella, as the sun can be quite intense at the observatory during the day.

Want to hit up these three places in Tokushima in a single day? Public transit is pure torture 🙂↕️ Having a car makes it so much easier! 🌊 Naruto Whirlpools Giant whirlpools in the sea—seeing them up close is absolutely mind-blowing. 🌉 Iya Kazurabashi A vine suspension bridge hidden deep in the mountains; it's wild and a bit of a thrill. 🚤 Oboke Gorge Emerald waters + canyon cliffs. Taking a boat ride through here is incredibly relaxing. These three spots aren't close to each other, taking the JR and buses means constant transfers and strict time crunches. It's a whole different story with a car. No need to stress over schedules or rush to catch a ride, just take in all the best of Tokushima in one day. Tokyo and Osaka are a blast, but the wild, quiet beauty of Tokushima is seriously addictive.

When you travel around Shikoku by car, even the time spent moving becomes a special memory. Outside the window, endless mountains, deep valleys, and the blue sea await. Then, massive bridges and dynamic landscapes created by nature suddenly appear. The true charm of a Shikoku road trip is that you can enjoy not just the destination, but "the time on the road itself." 🚗 Scenic Views Outside Your Window the Whole Way! Shikoku's Mountain Drives What you'll notice while driving in Shikoku is how close you are to the mountains. With every curve, mountains showing different expressions appear, and the roads make you feel like you're passing through green tunnels. Shikoku's mountainous areas, in particular, have many roads along rivers and valley routes, so just gazing out the car window is enough to give you that vacation feeling. Driving through magnificent nature, something you can't see in the city, is a unique charm of a Shikoku road trip. ⸻ 🌉 Experience the Grand Scale on Kochi's Long Bridges Kochi has numerous beautiful bridges that seem to blend seamlessly into nature. The moment you cross a bridge in the mountains, it feels almost as if you're driving through the sky. The views of the mountains and rivers from the bridges are scenic spots that can only be fully appreciated on a road trip. We highly recommend pulling over during your drive to capture photos of the landscapes created by the bridges and nature. ⸻ 🌿 Iya Kazura Bridge | A Scenic Spot Brimming with a Hidden-Gem Vibe The "Kazura Bridge" in the Iya region of Tokushima Prefecture is a signature hidden-gem spot in Shikoku. It's a suspension bridge spanning a deep valley, offering plenty of thrills with the swaying bridge and the valley floor visible right beneath your feet. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and clear streams, you can experience a pristine, old-world natural landscape. It boasts different charms depending on the season, from fresh greenery in spring and cool valleys in summer to colorful autumn leaves. Recommended times: 🌱 Spring–Summer: Fresh greenery and clear streams 🍁 Autumn: Fall foliage and majestic mountain views ⸻ 🌅 Chichibugahama | A Sunset View Known as Japan's Salar de Uyuni Chichibugahama in Mitoyo City, Kagawa Prefecture, is a must-visit sunset spot on any Shikoku road trip. Tide pools formed at low tide act like mirrors, beautifully reflecting the sunset sky and the silhouettes of people. Dusk is especially highly recommended. The moment the orange-tinted sky and the sea become one creates an unforgettable, breathtaking view. Recommended times: 🌅 Around sunset 🌊 Days with light winds and a calm water surface ⸻ 🌊 Naruto Strait | Spring and Fall Are Best for Viewing Giant Whirlpools At the Naruto Strait in Tokushima Prefecture, you can witness some of the world's most powerful whirlpools. However, large whirlpools aren't visible all the time. We particularly recommend the spring tides during spring (late March to late April) and fall (late September to late October). During these times, the tidal currents flow faster, making large whirlpools more likely to occur. (Naruto City Uzushio Tourist Association) Also, since the best viewing times are just before and after high and low tides, be sure to check a tide table for the exact times before visiting. (Tokushima Prefectural Government Website) Looking down from the "Uzu-no-Michi" walkway on the Onaruto Bridge or viewing the whirlpools up close from a sightseeing boat is absolutely thrilling. The sight of the swirling sea accompanied by a roaring sound is sure to be the highlight of your Shikoku trip. ⸻ 🚙 A Shikoku Road Trip Makes "Travel Time" the Journey Shikoku is home to dynamic nature whose sheer scale can't be captured in photos alone. Cutting through mountains, crossing bridges, and heading toward the sea. The fact that every view outside your window becomes a travel memory is the ultimate appeal of a Shikoku road trip. For your next day off, why not head out on a leisurely road trip across Shikoku in search of breathtaking views?

Tokushima Naruto Whirlpool is a must-visit natural wonder in Shikoku! 😳🌊 It is recommended that before you go, be sure to check the online tide time, with the high and low tide to see, the visual impact straight line UP! Now go to Naruto Whirlpool, there are two main ways to play: 1️⃣ Take a tide-watching boat to feel the power of the giant waves and vortex at a very close distance 🌪️🛳️ 2️⃣ Or like I chose to walk the vortex this time - the glass walkway on the lower level of Naruto Bridge, overlooking the spectacular whirlpool 45 meters from the ground! The trail is challenging to walk down and have strong winds blowing all the time! Every 100 meters there are large glass windows for you to look down at the sea. It feels like you are watching small boats fighting a tough battle. But in fact, the tide-watching boats are very safe and will not capsize - rest assured to play! ⛴️ The whole phenomenon actually stems from the time difference between the tide level in the Seto Inland Sea and Kii Waterway, so come to the lower level of the bridge, take pictures and check in basic designated movements! The best part is that some places also have super giant floor-to-ceiling glass, so you can take pictures with the whirlpool and the Seto Inland Sea📸🤳. It’s especially easy to see giant vortices in spring and autumn, with late March to late April being even more golden! The season is just right, you can't beat it for taking pictures! After walking, you can go nearby to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea, and slowly sit down and eat a bowl of Dokudo ramen🍜, perfectly healing your body and mind 📍 Attraction information Naruto Vortex (うずしお/Uzushio) Address: Between Naruto and Awaji Island, Tokushima Prefecture, at the confluence of the Seto Inland Sea and Kii Waterway Opening Hours: Open all day year-round Feel the fantastic vortex live together!

An art museum packed with so many highlights that a single day just isn't enough🖼️ Located in Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture, the "Otsuka Museum of Art" is one of Japan's largest art museums, recreating world-famous masterpieces in their original full size✨ Inside, you'll find an impressive lineup of iconic works by Van Gogh, Monet, Da Vinci, and more😳 What's more, since they are all reproduced as ceramic board paintings in the exact same dimensions as the original pieces, it genuinely feels like you're touring famous museums all over the globe✨ The most striking part for me was the space that perfectly recreated an entire grand chapel💭 The sheer impact of the paintings covering the entire ceiling and walls was so overwhelming that I instinctively stopped in my tracks to look up. The museum is incredibly spacious, so you'll want to set aside at least half a day to a full day to take your time and see everything🚶 It's a truly special place where you can encounter countless famous masterpieces all at once without ever leaving the country🎨 · --------------------------------- 📍Otsuka Museum of Art Address: 65-1 Fukuike, Tosadomariura, Naruto-cho, Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture Access: About 15 minutes by bus from JR Naruto Station Opening Hours: 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Last admission at 4:00 PM) Closed: Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a national holiday) Admission: Adults 3,300 yen · ---------------------------------

【Tokushima】A castle-like hotel for the ultimate experience Hotel Name: Exiv Naruto SANCTUARY VILLA A serene, castle-like hotel surrounded by nature! Spacious rooms and bathrooms provide a relaxing and comfortable stay. Enjoy a leisurely time to unwind and refresh your mind and body. The hotel also features a large public bath where you can relieve the fatigue of the day. The meals are absolutely delicious, and a delightful breakfast ensures a wonderful start to your day. The premises are quite expansive, but with the convenience of a limousine bus, accessing the large public bath is a breeze.

🌸 Day 1 Early in the morning, head to Arashiyama, where you'll have to beat the crowds. Tenryu-ji Temple Bamboo grove and climb to Adashino Nenbutsu-ji Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple: hundreds of Buddhas with different faces Kinkaku-ji: the famous Golden Pavilion Ryoan-ji: the legendary rock garden Hōrinji Darumadera Hirano Shrine For dinner, head to the Pontocho district. I recommend Kichi Kichi Omurice / Kyoto Engine Ramen / Tendon Makino 🌸 Day 2 Start at dawn at Hōkan-ji Yasaka Pagoda and walk along Ninenzaka while the crowds are still there; after 9 AM, it's dreadful. Kiyomizudera Maruyama Park Keage Incline Heian Shrine and Okazaki Shrine Philosopher's Path with Hōnenin and Ginkaku-ji Evening in the geisha district - Gion 🌸 Day 3 In the morning, leave for Fushimi Inari Taisha, where thousands of red gates stand. You don't have to go all the way. After 30 minutes, the crowds become less crowded. I recommend stopping by Nishiki Market for lunch. Although the prices aren't as reasonable as they used to be. Afterwards, you can go shopping; vintage items are especially good. Or visit Nizo Castle or have a picnic in the Kamogawa Delta, a river delta where only locals live. 📌Separate, more complete itinerary for each day with a description in the profile. Save for later! #Japan #Kyoto

Located in Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture. After viewing the Naruto whirlpools, I stopped by Sumizu, an izakaya in Naruto, around 3 PM. It's close to the station and easy to enter. The proprietress was very friendly and shared a lot about Tokushima with me. The food was all delicious. This time, I had liver, chicken wings, and a sashimi platter. The liver was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth the moment I tasted it. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, made with local ingredients, and absolutely delicious. The chicken wings paired perfectly with beer, making it hard to stop drinking. It was a quiet and relaxing spot during my solo trip. The interior had a nostalgic atmosphere, and I felt reluctant to leave. The prices were very reasonable, and I would definitely visit again if I go to Naruto. Highly recommended, so please give it a try. 📍Sumizu 187 Otsutsumi, Aza Saita, Muyacho, Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture ☎️088-686-9441

Located in Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture. Recently, I visited the Naruto Whirlpools. The best time to see the large whirlpools varies by day, but luckily, I managed to catch them just in time on the day I went. I visited around 10:30 AM on a weekday, so it wasn’t as crowded as I expected, allowing me to enjoy the experience at a leisurely pace. Walking along the bridge, I was surprised by the stronger-than-expected winds, which gave me a slight chill. However, it was also a moment where I could feel the power of the whirlpools up close. Looking down through the glass floor, you can see the whirlpools swirling right beneath you—it’s truly breathtaking. This is a unique view that you can only experience in Naruto, so I highly recommend checking the best viewing times before visiting.

Imagine starting your journey from Hong Kong or Taiwan, landing at Takamatsu Airport, and hopping onto a limited express train with your Shikoku JR PASS (All Shikoku Rail Pass) in hand. Easily travel through the artistic islands of the Seto Inland Sea, savor authentic Sanuki Udon in Kagawa, soak in the historic Dogo Onsen in Ehime, chase the crystal-clear waters of the Shimanto River in Kochi, and witness the spectacular Naruto Whirlpools in Tokushima—all these hidden gems of Shikoku are yours to explore with just one ticket! As the most cost-effective guide for buying the Shikoku JR PASS, this ticket covers all JR Shikoku lines, private railways, streetcars, and Shodoshima ferries. It even offers extra perks, saving you 30-50% on transportation costs. Whether you are a Hong Kong office worker tackling your first solo trip to Shikoku or a seasoned traveler from Taiwan looking to explore the remote islands in-depth, this cheerful guide covers everything from prices and purchasing methods to recommended itineraries. Get ready to be excited and start packing! 🎒 What is the Shikoku JR PASS? Why do Hong Kong and Taiwan travelers love it? The Shikoku JR PASS (officially the ALL SHIKOKU Rail Pass) is an exclusive travel pass created by JR Shikoku in collaboration with six local railway companies. It is designed specifically for foreign tourists with temporary visitor status (including passport holders from Hong Kong and Taiwan, who must present their non-Japanese passports). It offers 3 to 7 consecutive days of unlimited travel on Non-Reserved Seats of limited express, rapid, and local trains. From Ritsurin Garden in Takamatsu to Dogo Onsen in Matsuyama or the famous seared bonito in Kochi, this pass is the ultimate transportation tool for those not planning to drive! Why is it worth buying? Here are the fantastic benefits: · Wide Coverage, One Pass for All Shikoku: It covers not just all JR Shikoku lines, but also Iyo Railway (Ehime streetcars), Tosa Electric Railway (Kochi streetcars), Tosa Kuroshio Railway (Kochi private rail), Asa Coast Railway (Kochi coastline), Kotoden (Kagawa private rail), as well as the Takamatsu↔Shodoshima ferry and Olive Bus—making it incredibly easy to visit the Shodoshima Olive Festival for free! · Flexible Durations for Every Trip: Choose from 3-7 days. Children (ages 6-11) are half price, and those under 5 travel for free. It’s perfectly tailored for families from Hong Kong and Taiwan. · Extra Discounts to Save More: Show your pass for a 10% discount on the Matsuyama↔Kochi bus (from ¥3,000), 30% off the Nankai Ferry, free wheelchair rentals at Iyo Railway, and even a free Ferris wheel ride at Takamatsu Kotoden! Things to Note: Valid for consecutive days only; Reserved Seats require an additional voucher (¥1,200 for 4 rides); Green Cars and certain sightseeing trains (like the Iyonada Monogatari) require extra fees; the pass does not cover the area north of the Seto Ohashi Bridge toward Okayama, requiring a separate ticket. However, for travelers from Hong Kong and Taiwan, these minor points are overshadowed by the convenience—imagine transferring from Kansai Airport to Takamatsu in just 2 hours to start your adventure! If you plan to cross 2-3 prefectures, the Shikoku JR PASS is absolutely worth it. For example, a round trip on the limited express between Takamatsu and Matsuyama starts at ¥10,000, which already covers the cost of a 3-day pass! Keep reading, and you’ll be smiling as you decide to get one. Using a 5-day pass for ¥15,000 as an example: buying separate tickets for Takamatsu↔Matsuyama↔Kochi would cost ¥12,000. The PASS saves you a fortune while adding Shodoshima to the mix, offering incredible value. Friends from Hong Kong and Taiwan, don’t hesitate—this is a must-have investment for your Shikoku trip! How to Buy the Shikoku JR PASS? 3 Simple Methods for Hong Kong and Taiwan Buying the pass is very traveler-friendly, with online, on-site, and overseas agency options. We recommend online booking for Hong Kong and Taiwan travelers to avoid lines upon arrival. Remember, it is only for foreign temporary visitors. 1. Online Purchase (Highly Recommended, Save ¥500+, 5 Minutes): ◦ Trip.com: A popular platform for HK/Taiwan. 3-day passes start from ¥12,000. Simply bring your e-ticket to the designated window to activate it. ◦ JR West Official Website: Book online and pick up at Japanese airports, perfect if you want to reserve seats immediately. 2. Purchase within Japan: ◦ Available at Green Windows in JR Takamatsu, Matsuyama, Tokushima, and Kochi stations, or at JR Shikoku Tour Centers (Warp branches). Hours are generally 9:00-18:00; passport verification is required. HK/Taiwan travelers can buy upon arrival, but it costs ¥500 more. 3. Overseas Travel Agencies: ◦ Buy an Exchange Order from agencies partnering with JR Shikoku and exchange it in Japan. Good for groups, but usually offers no extra discounts. Scope of the Shikoku JR PASS & Important Notes: Explore Four Prefectures with One Ticket The pass has a massive range, covering 88% of Shikoku's rail lines plus ferries, making it easy to travel without a car: · Full Rail Coverage: All JR Shikoku lines (Limited Express trains like Nanpu, Uwakai, Shimanto Non-Reserved seats), Iyo Railway (Matsuyama streetcars to Dogo Onsen), Tosa Electric Railway (around Kochi Castle), Tosa Kuroshio Railway (Shimanto River), Asa Coast Railway (Kochi coastline), and all Kotoden lines (Kotohira-gu Shrine). · Ferries & Buses: Takamatsu↔Tonosho (Shodoshima) Ferry (free; vehicles extra), and the full Shodoshima Olive Bus line (Angel Road, Kankakei Gorge). · Extensions: Seto Ohashi Line up to Kojima Station in Okayama (separate ticket needed further north). Important Usage Tips to Avoid Hassle: · Activation: Select consecutive days (cannot be changed) and keep your passport with you. · Riding: Unlimited Non-Reserved seats. For Reserved seats, buy the ¥1,200/4-ride voucher (at Green Windows or machines). Automatic gates support QR/Physical tickets, though manual gates are used at remote stations. · Not Applicable: Extra fees for Green Cars and sightseeing trains; separate fares for regular buses/other ferries; the pass will no longer apply to Iyo Railway starting March 7, 2026; cannot be used for the Botchan Train, Sunrise Seto, or Shodoshima High-speed ferries. · Lost Tickets: No replacements; you'll have to pay again. Tip: take a photo as a backup. Traveler FAQ: Are Shodoshima ferries crowded? Book ahead during peak season! This pass lets you travel like a local, enjoying sea views while you ride—so relaxing! ✨ How to Reserve Seats: Make Your Shikoku Trip Even More Comfortable Shikoku has frequent limited express trains, but they can be full during the 2025 Cherry Blossom/Autumn Foliage seasons. We suggest reserving seats for better comfort. The process is simple: 1. Buy the ¥1,200 Reserved Seat Voucher (4-ride pack, available at Green Windows/Warp). 2. Use your PASS + voucher at a Green Window, Ticket Machine, or Warp branch to reserve (English supported). 3. For private rails like Tosa Kuroshio, you can also reserve on-site. Happy Tips: The sunset at Shimonada Station is popular; reserve 1 hour early! The Iyonada Monogatari sightseeing train requires an extra ¥2,700 express fee, but the sea views are worth every penny! Is the Shikoku JR PASS Worth It? Wondering if it's worth the money? Let's do the math! Using a 5-day pass for ¥15,000 (approx. NT$3,000) as an example: · Takamatsu↔Matsuyama Limited Express Round Trip: ¥10,000 · Matsuyama↔Kochi Rapid: ¥4,500 · Takamatsu↔Shodoshima Ferry: ¥1,200 · Kotoden to Kotohira-gu: ¥1,000 · Total if bought separately: ¥16,700—The PASS saves you over ¥1,700, and it's even more valuable if you add more private rail trips! It’s a must-buy if you visit 3 or more prefectures. If staying in one prefecture, consider the Kagawa Mini Rail & Ferry Pass (¥4,000). Recommended Shikoku JR PASS Itinerary: Relaxing 5-Day Limited Tour Planning with these recommendations ensures a fun, stress-free trip! This 5-day version starts in Takamatsu and covers four prefectures + Shodoshima (Total cost if bought separately: ¥25,000+; the PASS saves half): Day 1: Kagawa Culture Day Arrive in Takamatsu, take the JR to Ritsurin Garden (¥500), then take the Kotoden in the afternoon to Kotohira-gu to climb the 365 steps (¥1,100). I went to see the Naruto Strait whirlpools 🌀 This time, I enjoyed a double perspective: from the 'Uzu no Michi' (walking directly above) and from a sightseeing boat (right at sea level) ◎ The conclusion? Both were completely different and absolutely worth it 💯 📍 Uzu no Michi A walkway directly under the Onaruto Bridge, where the floor is made of glass, allowing you to see the swirling whirlpools right below…! The bridge's structure is also stunning, making it a must-visit spot for photography enthusiasts. 📍 Boat (Uzushio-go) The whirlpools seen from right at sea level are overwhelmingly powerful 😳 I recommend going during times when the whirlpools are at their largest! The sweet potato soft serve I had during a break was also delicious 🍦 🌊 Recommended for: · Those who want to see breathtaking natural scenery · Photography and video enthusiasts · Anyone planning a trip to Tokushima Prefecture The sea moved as if it were alive, and it was truly moving~! If you're visiting Tokushima, definitely check it out 🙆♀️

👉 Why do whirlpools form? The Naruto Whirlpools are one of the most spectacular marine phenomena in the world. The Naruto Strait is narrow, connecting the open sea (Pacific Ocean) with the inland sea (Seto Inland Sea). Twice daily tides cause a water level difference of up to 1.5 meters on both sides, with seawater rushing through the strait at speeds up to 20 kilometers per hour, colliding with the complex seabed terrain, creating whirlpools of various sizes. The whirlpools are most impressive during spring tides. · · 🧡 One-day private car tour: o Morning: Depart from Osaka, passing and admiring the Akashi Kaikyō Bridge. o Noon: Arrive at Naruto and take a whirlpool viewing boat. o Afternoon: Visit the "Whirlpool Road," then head to Awaji Island to see the "Awaji Yumebutai" designed by Tadao Ando. o Evening: Enjoy local seafood (onions, oysters) on Awaji Island, then return. 👉 Simple guide to whirlpool boats 🧡 The best time to see the whirlpools varies with the weather on the day; please check in advance. You can check the "Naruto Tide Table" on the official website. · 🧡 The large whirlpool viewing boat "Wonder Naruto" has less rocking, suitable for elderly, children, and those prone to seasickness. · 🧡 The small underwater whirlpool boat "AQUA EDDY" allows close-up views of the whirlpools underwater. The "AQUA EDDY" is equipped with an observation room about 1 meter below the sea surface to watch the whirlpools. · 🧡 If the timing is not right or you suffer severe seasickness, you can watch from the shore. Whirlpool Road: located directly under the Naruto Bridge, it is a 450-meter-long sea walkway. Through the glass floor beneath your feet, you can overlook the whirlpools from a unique 45-degree angle, experiencing a different kind of thrill. · 👉 Practical tips 1. Seasickness prevention: Take seasickness medicine in advance; choosing a large whirlpool boat will be much more stable. 2. Wind and warmth protection: It is windy at sea, so even in summer, it is recommended to bring a jacket. 3. Safety first: Always follow staff instructions on the boat and hold onto the railings tightly.

☆Uzu-no-michi is a promenade overlooking the ocean, offering a view of the Naruto whirlpools from 45 meters above sea level. 📍Onaruto Bridge Promenade Uzu-no-michi: Narutocho, Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture (within Naruto Park) 💰Admission Fee: Adults: ¥510 Junior and High School Students: ¥410 Elementary School Students: ¥260 Children under 6: Free (*Online purchases available. Joint admission tickets with the Onaruto Bridge Memorial Hall Eddie are also available.) ⌚Opening Hours: March–September: 9:00–18:00 October–February: 9:00–17:00 Golden Week & Summer Vacation: 8:00–19:00 *Admission is allowed until 30 minutes before closing. 🚗Parking is available in the Naruto Park parking lot (¥500). It's about a five-minute walk from the parking lot to Uzu-no-michi. I almost got lost, but Eddie kindly guided me. 😂 📷The highlight of the tour is the whirlpools right at your feet! 🌀 However, it's difficult to time the whirlpools perfectly, so I recommend taking a video. 　　　Even if you're not looking for the perfect whirlpool, the view from the promenade is breathtaking, so you can enjoy it any time of day. 　　　The view from the glass floor at your feet is a little overwhelming, but still incredibly beautiful. 😊 　　　I wanted to gaze at the natural movement of the waves for as long as I could. 　　　There are several glass floors along the 450-meter promenade, so I recommend avoiding crowded areas. 　　(I personally found it to be less crowded the further back. 😘) 🍜For dining, restaurants like Uzumichi Chaya and Shiokaze are within walking distance. 　　Viewing the Naruto Bridge while enjoying delicious seafood is the best! ☆Also near Uzu-no-michi are the Narutoyama Observatory, the Ohara Museum of Art, and numerous other attractions, including a boat dock where you can see the whirlpools head-on. 　The viewing times for the whirlpools vary daily, so we recommend checking Uzu-no-michi's website beforehand. ☆Uzu-no-michi is a great place to visit with children. We hope you'll come and experience the spectacular natural scenery for yourself.😊 #DomesticTravel #TokushimaPrefecture #NarutoWhirlpools
