Saga is a small city with inconvenient transportation, so it's recommended to drive yourself to the mountains. Kiyomizu Falls: Located on a mountain, you have to pass through a temple to see it. The whole temple is related to carp. Ceramic Town: It was late and raining when we went! So only a few stores were open. You can see the overall style of the ceramics from the window displays. Maybe it's because Chinese ceramics are so strong, but I didn't feel anything when I saw the ceramics in Ceramic Town. However, my foreign classmates were so excited that they even borrowed money to buy cups to take home to their families. TeamLab: This was the best part of the trip. TeamLab in Saga is only open at night, and is combined with a hot spring hotel on the mountain. The only downside is that you have to climb a bit to see the different lights, but overall it's worth it. This is one of the best park in Saga prefecture for sakura viewing as it has over 3000 sakura trees. We were there a bit early for the sakura but could imagine how beautiful it is when all 3000+ trees blooming at their peak! There's a small hill in the park with shrine and statue. There's a free parking opposite the park, and it's also near to the train station with 5 mins walk.
