LEGOLAND California in Carlsbad: A Super Popular Theme Park Built with Countless Colorful LEGO Bricks!
LEGOLAND California, located in Carlsbad, is one of the most popular theme parks for family getaways. Built with countless LEGO bricks, the entire park is vibrant and full of energetic vibes. Kids can snap photos with their favorite LEGO characters and enjoy rides designed specifically for them. The massive park offers a variety of attractions, ranging from thrilling roller coasters to toddler-friendly carousels and the iconic Miniland USA—making it a blast for both kids and adults!
Recommended Itinerary:
Grab a map upon entry and plan your route. A great way to start is at "The Beginning" right by the entrance, before heading over to the "Imagination Zone," which is perfect for creative little thinkers to explore. Don't forget to take some awesome photos with the LEGO replicas of iconic American landmarks in Miniland USA! Next, head to "Castle Hill" for a ride on the dragon coaster, or let your kids become junior engineers or firefighters for the day at "LEGO City." Keep an eye out for surprise character meet-and-greets throughout the day—always a big hit with the kiddos!
Must-Do Attractions:
1. Driving School: Kids can drive their own mini electric cars around a track and earn a "driver's license" at the end—absolutely adorable!
2. Coastersaurus: A thrilling yet safe roller coaster, perfect for slightly older kids.
3. LEGO NINJAGO The Ride: Use hand gestures to blast fireballs and battle ninjas in this top-tier interactive experience!
4. MINILAND USA: A must-see spot built with millions of LEGO bricks to recreate famous U.S. landmarks—perfect for photos!
5. DUPLO Playtown: A brightly colored, dedicated play area designed specifically for toddlers.
Top Photo Spots:
· The giant LEGO models at the main entrance
· In front of the intricate cityscapes in MINILAND USA
· The LEGO character meet-and-greet zones, where you can take pictures with live-action characters
· Aboard the fairytale-like LEGO boat ride down the river
· The podium at the JUNIOR DRIVING SCHOOL to show off that new license
Pro Tips:
1. We recommend booking tickets via Trip.com for great discounts. Our kids had an amazing time, making it excellent value for money.
2. Arrive early to beat the midday crowds, as popular rides can get long lines.
3. The park offers dedicated kid zones and rest areas, so families can explore at their own pace.
4. Bring hats and apply plenty of sunscreen, as the outdoor areas can get incredibly sunny and hot.
5. Pack some water and light snacks, as dining options inside the park are somewhat limited.
6. Plan your visit around the opening hours, which vary by day. (Summer gets busy, so book tickets early and double-check park hours).
Things to Note:
· There is a bag check at the entrance, and you are not allowed to bring in large amounts of outside food.
· Make sure to check height restrictions for rides ahead of time.
· During the summer, wear breathable, comfortable clothing and sandals for easy transitions between indoor and outdoor areas.
Address: One Legoland Drive, Carlsbad, CA 92008
Tickets: Approx. $340 for a family of four
Hours: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM (Hours vary by date; please check the official schedule before your trip)

Brick-tastic Family Fun at LEGOLAND New York Resort 🧱🎢
Dive into a world built for imagination at LEGOLAND New York Resort, where kids (and the young at heart!) can take on awesome rides, interactive LEGO adventures, and wild Miniland marvels—all in one vibrant theme park just outside NYC.
🗺️ Route & Must-Do Activities:
Kick off at Brick Street for classic photos with LEGO sculptures, then trek to LEGO City for driving school thrills or junior firefighter training—be sure to earn your LEGOLAND license! Technic is great for adventurous coasters, while Bricktopia’s “Factory Adventure Ride” mixes storytelling and innovation. Miniland is a walk-down LEGO memory lane—snap shots with tiny NYC skylines and US landmarks!
📸 Insta-Worthy Photo Spots:
Strike a pose at the giant LEGO dragon near the entrance and the colorful buildings of Miniland (the Brooklyn Bridge model is a guest favorite!). Sunset shots with Brick Street’s rainbow walkway really pop, too.
📝 Practical Visiting Tips:
Check operating days closely, as the park is closed several weekdays in December. Current open dates are Dec 13–14, 20–23, and 26–31 (11:00 AM–5:00 PM). Pre-book your tickets online for the best rates and skip the lines at the gate. Wear comfy shoes—LEGOLAND is best explored on foot!
⚠️ Precautions:
Bundle up—winter days in Goshen can be chilly. Check the weather, stash hand warmers, and bring water/snacks since lines can build during holiday weeks. Some outdoor rides may close for wind or snow, so plan a flexible visit!

Legoland in winter is absolutely amazing! It's so uncrowded, it feels like having the whole place to yourself
Spending the weekend at Legoland New York was a complete surprise in the best way.
Although the weather was a bit chilly, it was so much fun!
Popular attractions were basically walk-on, and we rode our favorite rides five times straight.
No lines for the cable car, Duplo train, carousel, or driving school cars. The indoor rides, Factory Adventure Ride and Ninjago The Ride, were also empty.
The build area was super spacious, plus there was a winter-only ice skating rink (ice skates provided) and performances.
The kids couldn’t stop playing, and the adults felt relaxed and not tired at all.

Lego Land's 'Miniland'!
Miniland is located in the south-central corner of Lego Land in New York, similar to 'Splendid China' in Shenzhen. The difference is: this mini world is built with Lego blocks. In the mini park, you can see 10 beautiful destinations in the United States, such as the famous San Francisco cross-sea bridge.
Lego Land is built on a hillside, and the mini world is built according to the situation, featuring landmarks of New York City. Here you can find the mini Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Yankee Stadium, New York City Hall, etc. built with Lego. Looking up from the 'Statue of Liberty', you can see the midtown skyline of Manhattan, which is very spectacular, as if you are in the real Manhattan! It is said that the Chrysler Building used 59,000 Lego blocks!
Although this mini world is small, it is interactive. The mini cars and characters in the park can walk and move under your operation.
