Ostuni travel guide and discussion

Have you ever seen a city that looks almost painted entirely in white? 🤍🇮🇹 Perched above Puglia, Ostuni is known as La Città Bianca — the White City. Its historic center is a maze of dazzling whitewashed walls, narrow stone lanes, tiny staircases, arched doorways and hidden terraces. What makes it so mesmerizing is the contrast: brilliant white buildings against an impossibly blue Mediterranean sky, with splashes of green from olive trees and colorful flowers appearing around almost every corner. 🌿💙 ✨ Things I’d look for here: · Wander through the maze-like old town · Find the prettiest whitewashed alleyways · Discover hidden courtyards and tiny balconies · Climb higher for views across the olive groves · Watch the sunset from the hilltop · Try local Puglian dishes and fresh ingredients · Simply get lost — that’s where the best corners seem to appear The most beautiful thing about Ostuni isn’t one particular monument. It’s the feeling of walking through an entire city washed in sunlight and white. 🤍 📍 Ostuni, Puglia, Italy 🇮🇹 #Ostuni #OstuniItaly #WhiteCity #Puglia #PugliaItaly #ItalyTravel #HiddenGems #EuropeTravel #Mediterranean #ItalianVillages #TravelInspiration #BeautifulDestinationss #OffTheBeatenPath #ExploreItaly #photovsrealitytravel

Forget the crowded tourist traps! If you want to experience the authentic, sun-drenched soul of southern Italy, you need to head to Puglia (Apulia) and the Salento peninsula. From dramatic limestone cliffs to fairytale villages, this region feels like stepping into a cinematic masterpiece. 🌊🌅 Here is your ultimate visual guide to the heel of Italy's boot: 🗺️ Must-do Route & Highlights: 🔹 Alberobello: You absolutely cannot miss this UNESCO World Heritage site! Walking among the iconic cone-shaped Trulli houses feels like wandering through a real-life fairytale. 🔹 Polignano a Mare: Famous for its dramatic cliffside views and crashing waves. Watching the sunset paint the sky pink over the ancient houses built right into the rock is pure magic. 🔹 Ostuni (The White City): A dazzling maze of whitewashed streets and staircases perched on a hill. It offers sweeping views of the olive groves rolling down to the Adriatic Sea. 🔹 Lecce: Often called the "Florence of the South," thanks to its breathtakingly detailed Baroque architecture. The churches here are true masterpieces carved from golden stone. 📸 Top Photo Spots: Head to the harbor in Monopoli or Giovinazzo early in the morning to capture the iconic blue fishing boats bobbing in the water (no crowds!). For Alberobello, explore the quieter Aia Piccola district to get those unobstructed, dreamy shots of the Trulli roofs without the tourist masses. 📝 Practical Tips: · Getting around: Renting a car is highly recommended. Public transport exists but can be slow, and driving gives you the freedom to explore hidden beaches. 🚗 · Best time to go: May, June, and September. You’ll get the perfect Mediterranean warmth but avoid the intense August heat and peak local holiday crowds. ☀️ · Footwear: Bring comfortable, non-slip sneakers. The ancient stone streets (especially in Ostuni and Lecce) get incredibly slippery, and you will be walking a lot! ⚠️ Precautions: Many local shops and restaurants strictly observe riposo (the Italian siesta) between 1:30 PM and 5:00 PM. Plan your heavy meals and shopping accordingly! Which of these spots would you explore first? The fairytale Trulli houses or the cliffside views? Let me know below! 👇😍 #thingstodo #travel #travel2026 #staycation #myitinerary #citydaytours #italy #puglia

When people think of Puglia, they usually picture Bari, Alberobello, and Polignano a Mare. But the true magic of the region is often found elsewhere. Here you’ll discover whitewashed hill towns without the crowds, charming fishing harbors, medieval streets, and beaches with water so turquoise it hardly looks real. If you’ve already visited Puglia’s most famous attractions—or simply want to explore something different—save this list for your next trip. 📍 Locorotondo One of the most beautiful towns in the Itria Valley. Its name means “round place,” and the historic center is indeed built in a circular shape on top of a hill. Whitewashed houses, flower-filled balconies, quiet alleys, and stunning vineyard views make Locorotondo one of the most charming places in the region. What to do: ✔ Wander without a map ✔ Taste local white wines ✔ Watch the sunset over the Itria Valley 📍 Cisternino Just a few kilometers from Locorotondo, yet with a completely different atmosphere. The town is famous for its butcher shops that double as restaurants, where you choose your meat at the counter and have it grilled on the spot. What to do: ✔ Try the famous bombette pugliesi ✔ Explore the maze of whitewashed streets ✔ Enjoy dinner in one of the lively piazzas 📍 Monopoli Many travelers head straight to Polignano a Mare and completely overlook Monopoli. That’s a mistake. The town offers a beautiful historic center, a picturesque fishing harbor, and several lovely beaches located right in the heart of the city. What to do: ✔ Walk along the ancient city walls ✔ Photograph the old harbor ✔ Swim in the small coves near the historic center 📍 Specchia One of the most beautiful towns in the Salento region. Surprisingly, only a small percentage of visitors make it here. Stone houses, historic palaces, and a slow pace of life create an atmosphere of authentic southern Italy. What to do: ✔ Enjoy the local atmosphere ✔ Explore the historic center ✔ Taste regional cuisine away from tourist crowds 📍 Otranto The easternmost town in Italy. On a clear day, you can almost imagine the Balkan coast beyond the horizon. Ancient walls, a cathedral with a remarkable 12th-century mosaic floor, and crystal-clear waters make Otranto one of Puglia’s most fascinating destinations. What to do: ✔ Visit the cathedral ✔ Walk along the fortress walls ✔ Spend the day at the beach 📍 Ostuni Known as the White City of Puglia. And one look from a distance is enough to understand why. Thousands of whitewashed houses cascade down the hillside, creating one of southern Italy’s most iconic landscapes. Unlike Alberobello, Ostuni still feels like a living Italian town, where everyday local life continues alongside tourism. What to do: ✔ Climb to the panoramic viewpoints ✔ Get lost in the maze of white alleyways ✔ Watch the sunset over olive groves and the Adriatic Sea ✨ Puglia is so much more than the trulli of Alberobello and the famous beach in Polignano a Mare. Sometimes the most unforgettable experiences are found in the places that never make it onto the covers of travel magazines. Which of these hidden gems would you add to your Puglia itinerary? #travel2026

Trulli Stone Houses · Cone-shaped stone houses built with limestone without mortar, iconic architecture of the Apulia region. · Some roofs are painted with mysterious symbols (such as constellations and religious patterns), symbolizing blessings or warding off evil. 2. Belvedere Viewpoint · A viewpoint on the town’s high ground overlooking clusters of Trulli houses, perfect for photos (recommended at sunrise or sunset). 3. Trullo Sovrano · The only two-story Trulli building, converted into a museum showcasing traditional household items. 4. Chiesa di Sant'Antonio (Saint Anthony Church) · A rare Trulli-style church blending traditional and modern religious architecture. · -- 2. Suggested Itinerary One-day Highlights Route · Morning: Depart from Bari or Locorotondo (about 1-hour drive). Travel Tips 1. Best Season: Spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) for mild weather and fewer tourists; summer is hotter but has many festivals (like the Trulli Festival in June). 2. 2 days in Ostuni the white city in Apulia. amazing city center with just white houses. good food and good people. #passionpassport #staycation

#我好叫 Ostuni, the white city in southern Italy 🇮🇹Enjoy the sunshine and pure leisure... Ostuni💛, located in the Puglia region, has a very holiday atmosphere against the backdrop of sunny and blue skies. The town is built on a hill. The houses, arches and alleys are all dominated by white, earning it the nickname "la città Bianca", the "White City". The town is not big and there are not many attractions, but the city center is full of small unique shops selling all kinds of fine products. If you like to collect small things, you can spend half a day shopping there. I really like the quietness and simplicity of Ostuni. I want to go there again. #I'm so hung up #Overseas Travel #I Really Want to Travel #Italy #I'm so hung up

#mynovgetaway Ostuni is a city in Italy’s Apulia region that's known for its whitewashed old town. Ostuni Cathedral combines Gothic, Romanesque and Byzantine elements, while the arched Porta San Demetrio is one of 2 remaining medieval gates. The Civic Museum and Archaeological Park houses Ostuni 1, the skeleton of a woman from Paleolithic times. Northwest of town is the Santuario di Sant’Oronzo complex, with a triumphal arch. The region around Ostuni has been inhabited since the Stone Age. The town is reputed to have been originally established by the Messapii, a pre-classic tribe, and destroyed by Hannibal during the Punic Wars. It was then re-built by the Greeks, the name Ostuni deriving from the Greek Astu néon ("new town"). Sacked after the fall of the Western Roman Empire, in 996 AD the town became part of the Norman County of Lecce .The Normans built their medieval town around the summit of the hill (229 m), with a castle (only remains can be seen) and city walls with four gates. From 1300 to 1463 it was part of the Principality of Taranto and from 1507 (together with what is now the frazione of Villanova and Grottaglie) passed to Isabella, Duchess of Bari, wife of Gian Galeazzo Sforza, Duke of Milan. Under Isabella's rule, Ostuni thrived during the Italian Renaissance. Isabella protected humanists and people of art and letters, including bishop Giovanni Bovio. She died in 1524 and Ostuni passed as a dowry to her daughter Bona Sforza, wife-to-be of Sigismund I of Poland, King of Poland. During Bona Sforza's government, Ostuni continued to enjoy a stable rule. In 1539 she had towers built along all the shoreline as protection against anticipated attacks from Turks who controlled the Balkans. These towers (still extant, including Pozzella Tower, the Pylon, Villanova and others), were garrisoned and communicated using fiery beacons.

It's a destination where simple pleasures become unforgettable memories—from sipping coffee in a sunny piazza to enjoying a delicious meal beneath the evening sky. 🇮🇹✨ 🏡 Step Into a Fairytale in Alberobello One of Puglia's most recognizable sights is Alberobello, a town famous for its traditional trulli—small, whitewashed stone buildings topped with distinctive conical roofs. I spent a week of summer vacation in Ostuni. The old townscape, enveloped in white walls. Walking down the narrow alleys, I had a strange feeling, as if I had stepped into a movie scene. And then there's the food in Puglia. The simple dishes, highlighting the natural flavors of the ingredients, were truly delicious, somehow rustic and unpretentious. Yet, the taste is unforgettable. Compared to Milan, the cost of food and accommodation felt much more affordable. Using Ostuni as my base, I visited Alberobello, Matera, Monopoli, Bari, Lecce… Each city I visited had a different character, and the more I learned, the more I was drawn to the charm of Puglia. There are still so many places I want to visit. Grazie, Puglia🇮🇹

There are so many beautiful towns to visit, both along the coast and inland. You can easily split the region into three different areas, and that’s a lot to cover. In one week, these are all the places I managed to visit. It’s true that some of these towns only need half a day because they’re quite small, but it really depends on how you like to travel. I naturally travel at a faster pace because I like seeing as much as I can. That said, I also think it makes perfect sense to choose fewer places and enjoy them more slowly. My main base was Polignano a Mare, but I also spent one night in Matera and one in Vieste. Matera is close enough to visit as a day trip from Bari or Polignano, but I’m so glad I stayed overnight. Sleeping in a cave hotel and waking up to the most incredible views over the Sassi was one of the highlights of the trip 🤩 Gargano was the part of the trip I really didn’t want to miss. I spent two full days there, but honestly, I could have easily stayed four or five. There’s so much to explore, from the beaches and sea caves to the different towns and the national park. The next time I’m in Puglia, I’d love to explore the south around Lecce. I enjoyed this region so much that I already know I’ll be back one day. Hopefully this gives you a bit of inspiration while planning your own itinerary. Ostuni, the White City

Tired of the same old European towns? In the Puglia region of southern Italy lies Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage town. The entire hillside is covered with cone-shaped stone houses with white walls and gray roofs, resembling giant mushrooms sprouting from the ground after rain. No need to go to a fantasy animation; you can unlock a magical alleyway brimming with healing charm right here in real life. The entire town lacks uniformly planned high-rises, built solely from stacked stones, creating a unique architectural style that is unparalleled globally. Two distinct areas for different experiences, precisely avoiding crowds: 1. Monti District | The Photogenic Core Area Most tourists head straight here. Rows of Trulli houses undulate on the hillside, their intricate cobblestone paths forming a natural maze. The rooftops are carved with stars, moons, and crosses, not just decorations, but also spiritual symbols used by the residents to pray for peace and ward off misfortune. Bougainvillea blooms vibrantly along the streets, colorful wooden doors are adorned with flowers on windowsills, and pottery workshops, herbal toiletries shops, and neighborhood cafes line the streets. Off-the-beaten-path photography tips: Don't just flock to the twin mushroom houses. Head towards the narrow alleys in the middle of the neighborhood; the staggered stone houses create a natural sense of depth, allowing you to capture layered and stunning photos without needing to edit them. For the viewpoint, it's recommended to avoid the evening crowds, arriving half an hour before sunset to avoid tour groups and capture soft, gentle light. 2. Ayapicora Residential Area | A Quiet Corner Hidden by Locals In stark contrast to the heavily commercialized Monti district, this area has almost no tourist shops and is home to generations of indigenous people. The alleys are spacious and open, with small potted plants growing on the stone walls and corners, making it difficult to photograph passersby. It's perfect for tourists who appreciate tranquility and clean, soothing scenes. Additional perspective: Visiting in the early morning allows you to witness the daily life of locals—carrying groceries to buy vegetables, tending to their gardens—experiencing the authentic, everyday life of Southern Italy. It's not just about taking photos; it's about experiencing the local culture. Four Must-Visit Landmarks, Uncovering Little-Known Facts 1. Two-Story Trulli Folk House: The only two-story mushroom-shaped stone house in town, accessible for a €5 entrance fee. The interior perfectly recreates the living layout of the original inhabitants. Climb to the second-floor terrace for panoramic views of the entire town. A little-known fact: the house is constructed without cement, relying solely on interlocking stones for support—a centuries-old craft that combines stability and ingenuity, and also reflects the unique tax-avoidance wisdom of the local people. 2. St. Lucia's Free Viewpoint: The best value panoramic viewpoint in town, no extra charge. At dusk, warm light bathes the white stone walls, the continuous conical roofs stretching out in layers, and the distant low mountains create a gentle and soothing scene. Avoid the popular tourist spots; walk up the small steps to the left of the viewing platform for a more unique shooting angle. 3. Trulli's Lesser-Known Stone Church: Unlike the grand churches common in Europe, this church adopts the local mushroom-shaped design, blending seamlessly with the surrounding houses, and is rarely visited by tourists. The interior is simple and tranquil, perfect for a short break to unwind and capture atmospheric portraits. 4. Hidden Vine-Covered Alleys: While the main street is crowded with tourists, narrow alleys branching off on both sides are covered in lush greenery and vines. Low stone houses with vintage colorful doors and windows create a fairytale-like atmosphere, ideal for couples or friends to take candid photos. Two Travel Options to Suit Different Needs One-Day Light Trip (Bari Day Trip, Suitable for Those with Limited Time) Early morning, take a short train from Bari. Upon arrival, explore the Monti neighborhood and check out the unique houses. At noon, choose a local restaurant near the residential area, avoiding overpriced tourist spots, and savor authentic Southern Italian handmade pasta. In the afternoon, visit the Folklore Museum and climb to the top observation deck for panoramic views. Return by train in the evening. The itinerary is compact yet unhurried. Two-Day Slow Travel (Highly Recommended, Deeply Experience the Town's Atmosphere) Day 1: Arrive in the afternoon and check into a unique guesthouse converted from an old-fashioned Trulli. The original stone walls are preserved, creating a unique ambiance. Stroll through the streets of Monti in the evening, waiting for a stunning sunset. For dinner, try local charcoal-grilled seafood – its flavor is fresh and sweet. Day 2: Wake up early and head to the Aiapicola neighborhood to experience the local life. Browse the local handmade market and pick up ceramic mushroom ornaments and natural olive oil soaps as souvenirs. In the afternoon, plan a connecting route to visit the white mountain town of Ostuni and the ancient cave town of Matera, experiencing various Southern Italian landscapes in one trip. Practical Travel Tips 1. The roads are all uneven, old cobblestone streets. Flat, soft-soled shoes are recommended throughout; high heels are very slippery and can easily cause ankle sprains. If traveling with children, bring a lightweight stroller. Some narrow alleys are slow-moving, so allow ample walking time. 2. Time-based sightseeing strategy: 7-9 am – almost no tour groups, soft light suitable for portrait photography; 6:30-8 pm – best sunset light and shadow. To balance crowds and scenery, head to the viewpoint around 6 pm. 3. Outfit Tips: Low-saturation light colors such as pure white, light apricot, and light blue pair best with the white stone houses; avoid large areas of dark clothing, as they tend to blend into the background and create a dull scene. 4. Shopping Tips: Handmade items on the main tourist street are relatively expensive, while the same ceramics and toiletries are nearly one-third cheaper in small shops in residential areas; prioritize restaurants frequented by locals for generous portions and no tourist markups. 5. Travel Tips: Shops are concentrated in the Monti district, with few convenience stores in residential areas; it's advisable to buy drinking water and snacks in advance; the stone houses absorb heat, making summer afternoons hot and humid, so it's recommended to avoid visiting between 12-3 pm when the sun is at its strongest. Wandering through the winding mushroom-shaped alleyways, the cool stone walls, the fragrance of flowers carried on the breeze, and the leisurely pace of the local residents offer a complete escape from the anxieties of fast-paced city life. You don't need to travel to a fairytale wonderland; this World Heritage town in southern Italy offers a unique and gentle healing magical journey.

Ostuni is a destination that totally flips the script on what you expect an Italian town to be! Picture this: a maze of pristine, whitewashed houses that literally gleam in the sunshine, set against a vividly blue sky and offering jaw-dropping views of the Adriatic Sea. The vibe here is just surreal. By day, it’s a vibrant, bustling, and truly authentic town, but as evening falls, it transforms into a cozy haven with twinkling lights where you'll want to wander the narrow, winding streets endlessly with an Aperol in hand. 📍 Where It Is: Ostuni is nestled in the Puglia region (right on the "heel" of the Italian boot), just 8 kilometers inland from the Adriatic coast. 🚗 How to Get There: · The most popular way: Grab a taxi or book a transfer from Brindisi Airport (BDS). The ride takes about 40 minutes. · By train: Hop on a Trenitalia regional train from Bari or Lecce to Ostuni station. From the station to the historic center (perched on a hilltop), you can take a quick bus or taxi ride (~15 minutes). Or, if you’re feeling fit, you can hike up on foot 💪. · By rental car: The absolute best way to go! It’s roughly a 1-hour and 15-minute drive from Bari Airport (BRI). Street parking in the city is paid, but there’s a large free parking lot at the base of the hill—you’ll just need to walk from there. 🗺️ Top 5 Must-See Attractions: 1. 🔝 The Old Town (Centro Storico): Simply stroll around and get delightfully lost in the labyrinth of whitewashed alleyways. Every turn offers a picture-perfect photo op. Make sure to track down the Arch of St. Joseph. 2. 📍 Ostuni Cathedral (Duomo di Ostuni): A striking Gothic cathedral that dominates the skyline from anywhere in town. The interior is quite minimalist, yet breathtakingly beautiful. 3. 🌅 Panoramic Viewpoint: Head down to Piazza della Libertà (Liberty Square). This is the prime spot to take in the iconic view of the white rooftops contrasting with the azure sea. Come during sunset—it’s pure magic! 4. 🦴 Museum of Pre-Classical Civilizations: Fun fact: Ostuni is home to the skeleton of the oldest human found in Puglia (dating back over 25,000 years). It might seem a bit unexpected, but it’s a fascinating museum to explore. 5. 🏖️ The Beaches (Lido di Ostuni): Head down to the coastline (Costa Merlata). The beaches are just a 20-minute bus or taxi ride away. Expect turquoise waters and white sand, but the real highlight here is the wild, secluded coves. 🤤 What to Eat: You’re in the South of Italy now! Forget your basic pasta and pizza. Here, they take their local specialties seriously: · Orecchiette con Cime di Rapa: "Little ear" pasta tossed with broccoli rabe and anchovies. It’s the ultimate local staple—an absolute must-try! · Puccia: A massive local focaccia-style sandwich stuffed with pretty much anything you want (like fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and anchovies). It’s the perfect on-the-go snack. · Wine: Don't miss out on trying the sparkling or white Nero di Troia—it’s absolutely fantastic around here. 💡 Important Tip: Getting around the city on wheels is practically impossible (unless you're a local zooming around in an electric car). If you’ve rented a car, you absolutely have to leave it at the bottom of the hill. And when exploring the old town, make sure to wear your most comfortable sneakers! The endless maze of stairs and cobblestone streets is a real mini-endurance test 😄.

needed a break from my master's thesis and ended up in alberobello. it’s this tiny town in puglia made entirely of these white stone huts with cone roofs called trulli. literally looks like a giant mushroom village. i’m a bit of a history nerd so i loved the backstory. apparently back in the day, people built these houses without mortar so they could quickly dismantle them when tax collectors came around. honestly, the dedication to tax evasion is respect-worthy. spent most of my time in rione monti just wandering around. it's super pretty but can get crowded. i preferred aia piccola, which is the quieter residential side. just white stone, quiet alleys, and absolute peace. had to check out trullo sovrano of course. it's the only double-story trullo and they turned it into a museum showing how locals lived centuries ago. definitely my kind of vibe. tried the local ear-shaped pasta (orecchiette) for lunch. very chewy. 10/10. if you go, definitely wear flat shoes. the cobblestones are no joke. okay, back to abu dhabi and my assignments.

Finally stepped into the trulli city of Alberobello, where those domed stone houses pop up from the ground like mushrooms, instantly brightening the mood! 😍 There’s no city hustle here, only quiet streets and fairy-tale scenery, as if time has slowed down. 🏡 Trip Highlights The trulli architecture is the soul of Alberobello. These white limestone houses are listed as a World Heritage Site and are perfect for photos. 📸 · Trulli District: Stroll through the Rione Monti area, where hundreds of trulli houses connect, each with a unique design. · Viewing Platform: From the Belvedere Santa Lucia viewpoint, you can see the entire town panorama, especially beautiful at sunset. 🌅 · Trulli Museum: Learn about the history and construction techniques of these buildings and experience the local culture. Location and Transportation Alberobello is located in the Apulia region of Italy. · From Bari: Take a regional train or bus, about a 1-hour ride with frequent departures. 🚌 · Driving Route: Drive south from Bari along the SS16 highway, then turn onto SP237. The scenery along the way is picturesque, perfect for stopping and exploring. 🚗 · Nearby Airport: Brindisi Airport, about a 40-minute drive to the town. Itinerary Planning It’s recommended to reserve 1-2 days to slowly experience the charm of this town. · Day 1: Arrive in the morning and head straight to the trulli district for a stroll. Have lunch at a local restaurant, visit the church and museum in the afternoon, and watch the sunset at the viewing platform in the evening. · Day 2: If you have more time, plan a half-day trip to nearby towns like Ostuni, or explore the town in depth, visiting craft shops. 🛍 · Travel Tips: Avoid weekends and peak seasons for fewer crowds and a more pleasant experience; the town is small and walkable to cover the main attractions. Food Recommendations Alberobello’s cuisine mainly features Apulian specialties, simple yet delicious. · Recommended orecchiette pasta, handmade and served with tomato sauce or meat sauce, with a firm texture. 🍝 · Local olive oil and bread: Fresh olive oil dipped with bread tastes rich and fragrant. · Try burrata cheese: rich and creamy, perfect with fruit or salad. 🧀 · For dessert: try pasticciotto, a cream-filled pastry that’s sweet but not greasy.

If you're vacationing in Bari and want to see one of Puglia's most beautiful towns, you should definitely set aside a day to visit Ostuni. It’s no coincidence that this town is called La Città Bianca—The White City. Its historic center is made entirely of striking, snow-white houses cascading down a hilltop set amidst sprawling olive groves. 🚆 How to get there from Bari The most convenient option is taking a Trenitalia train. The journey takes about 50–60 minutes. Keep in mind that the Ostuni train station isn't located in the town itself, but rather about 1.2 miles (2 km) from the historic center. You can get there by bus, taxi, or on foot. 🌿 A scenic journey The stunning views begin before you even arrive in Ostuni. Out of the train window, you'll see endless olive groves—this region is home to millions of olive trees, many of which are hundreds of years old. Gradually, the snow-white town emerges on the horizon atop its hill, offering one of Puglia’s most iconic panoramic views. 🏛️ What to see The greatest joy of visiting Ostuni is simply wandering around. There's no need to map out a complicated itinerary. Must-see spots include: · Ostuni Cathedral; · Piazza della Libertà; · The Column of Sant'Oronzo; · The narrow, winding whitewashed streets of the historic center; · The numerous panoramic terraces overlooking the Adriatic Sea and olive groves. 📸 Practically every alleyway here looks like a picture-perfect postcard. 🤍 The vibe of the town Ostuni is incredibly photogenic. The whitewashed walls reflect the brilliant sunshine, vibrant flowers spill over balconies, and the staircases and archways offer endless angles for amazing photos. It’s especially stunning in the early morning or right around sunset. 🍝 What to eat While strolling around, be sure to try: · Burrata and stracciatella; · Local olive oil; · Orecchiette pasta; · Fresh seafood dishes; · Traditional Puglian desserts. Just getting lost in its whitewashed streets, climbing up to a scenic viewpoint, and soaking in the southern Italian atmosphere is more than enough. Sometimes, these are exactly the places that leave the most lasting memories.

🌈 ☔️ Just as the car entered the route from Ostuni to Monopoli, the sky suddenly darkened. Raindrops on the windshield made Qinqin a bit anxious, and the planned itinerary was disrupted... But then she thought, isn’t coming to Southern Italy all about experiencing this kind of laziness and chill? So she decided to study the travel guide in the car~ (The self-cultivation of a travel expert!) 🤓 Surprisingly! The Mediterranean weather is really unpredictable~ The rain under one cloud passed quickly, and before I finished studying the guide, the sky cleared up! Talk about good luck~ 😆 💎 If the coastline of the Apulia region is a string of pearl necklaces, then Polignano a Mare is definitely the brightest pearl! ✨ ▫️ It sits atop a 15-meter-high cliff ▫️ Overlooking the dreamy emerald Adriatic Sea ▫️ The crescent-shaped pebble beach is breathtakingly beautiful ▫️ Thousand-year-old sea-eroded caves ⛰️ ▫️ Sunset views with unbeatable value! 🌅 (Definitely certified as "Italy’s Most Beautiful Seaside Town"!) 📸 Photo spot recommendation: Look at this stunning shot I captured 👉 a lazy local uncle sitting on white stone steps basking in the sun (maybe waiting for the rain to stop?) Surrounded by scattered greenery and flowers, every snap is a poetic portrayal of life in Southern Italy! ✨ Travel Tip: The fast-changing weather is the true romance of the Mediterranean~ Instead of stressing about rushing your itinerary, learn to enjoy the "slow" life like the locals ⏳
