Château de Chantilly, which takes 30 minutes by train from Paris North Station! In French, chantilly means whipped cream. The name of the town is Chantilly and the name of the castle is Chantilly Castle. There is a theory(?) that the name was given to it after a chef who worked at the castle invented it. After visiting the garden and the castle, be sure to try the strawberry tart with whipped cream at the Aux Goûters Champêtres Restaurant du Hameau, a cottage cafe in the garden! Many first-time Eurail Pass holders feel confused when they receive it. Based on my 10+ European trips, I've put this guide together ⬇️ I. What is it Eurail Global Pass, simply put: buy one pass, and within its validity period, you can travel on most trains operated by participating rail networks. It is suitable for multi-country travel. You don't need to buy individual paper or electronic tickets for each leg, offering greater flexibility for itinerary changes. ⚠️ The pass is your ticket to ride, not a seat reservation. II. Steps 1️⃣ Purchase your pass and save the booking number Purchase a Global Pass with your desired validity period through official Eurail channels. After booking, you will receive a confirmation email. Save the booking number, as you will need it for activation later. 2️⃣ Activate and enter details 1. Go to the official Eurail website or Eurail app and find the activation portal. 2. Enter your booking number. 3. Fill in your name, passport number, and pass start date. 4. Confirm and submit the information to generate your electronic pass. 3️⃣ Plan your route and check train schedules Open the Interrail Planner app, enter your departure and arrival cities and travel date to search for train schedules. You can see the train type, duration, and transfer information for each trip, and the page will indicate if a seat reservation is required. You can look up the cities you plan to visit and create your own itinerary. 4️⃣ Boarding and ticket inspection When boarding, carry two things: your passport and your activated electronic or paper Eurail pass. When the conductor checks tickets on the train, present both for verification. If the train requires a seat reservation, also bring your seat reservation confirmation. III. My experience My multi-country train trip route: 1. Depart Switzerland → Strasbourg, France (cross-border trains usually require advance seat reservation). 2. Strasbourg → Belgium (Brussels + Ghent). 3. Belgium → Hauts-de-France region, Lille + Château de Chantilly. 4. Chantilly → Paris. 5. Paris → London. Boarding in Paris: Paris Gare du Nord. Arriving in London: London St Pancras International. [Important note] This route is very busy, so be sure to book your seat in advance. Even if you hold a Eurail Pass, you must reserve a seat; otherwise, you will not be allowed to board. Book as early as possible, as seats fill up quickly closer to the travel date. Tips 1. Most short-distance regional trains: No extra reservation is needed, and you can sit in any available seat. 2. Cross-border high-speed trains, long-distance express trains, and the Eurostar between Paris and London: We recommend booking your seat on the official website in advance and paying the additional reservation fee. 3. Keep your passport and electronic pass safe throughout your trip, and ensure the name on the pass matches your passport. 4. Your itinerary can be adjusted flexibly. The advantage of the Eurail Pass is that you are not locked into every leg of your journey.

Amazing chateau with much less people compared to other chateau. Took around 1 hr from paris to get to chantilly. Spend 2-3 hours there. Recommend if you have some spare time in Paris.

300***73It was a great summit experience, and the accompanying Seine River cruise was also excellent. Our guide was Korean and spoke both English and French, so I had no problem communicating with her in French. There was also a very friendly elderly Australian couple in our group; they even gave me a small souvenir before I left.
M50***25The Paris Opera House is a must-see! It possesses an intricate beauty, exuding luxury, with details everywhere. Despite its complexity, the overall design has a grand and majestic aesthetic. You could easily spend two or three hours there.

The service was poor; the set meal included a bottle of wine, and after I finished the first glass the waiter poured for me, it took 20 minutes for them to refill it.
M33***51This trip to Disneyland Paris was the main event, and the two of us decisively bought the one-day, two-park express pass, which we felt was well worth it. We entered the park at 10:30 am and experienced almost everything that was available. Some popular rides have queues of up to 45 minutes, but the express pass significantly reduced that waiting time, allowing for more time to enjoy the park. I recommend the roller coasters, Indian Mine Train, and the drop tower. The Pirates of the Caribbean ride is far less thrilling than the Shanghai Disneyland ride, though it's somewhat similar to the Shanghai Disneyland's Spectacular Adventure.
