📍Exact address: Naling Village, Naling Township, Daxin County, Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (National AAAA-level Scenic Area) 🚗 Navigate directly, no getting lost~ 🌟Must-visit highlights (all great for photos!) 1. Dragon Palace Cave Exploration✨: An 880-meter-long stalactite corridor so beautiful it leaves you speechless! A 48-meter sky-piercing jade pillar, a stunningly thin 0.12-meter "Calming Sea Needle"🧚‍♀️, reflections in the dragon pool blending reality and illusion, every snap is wallpaper-worthy📸~ The cave maintains a constant 19℃, perfect for summer cooling like stepping into a natural air-conditioned room❄️ 2. Ice and Snow Wonderland Party🥶: Ice cave at -5 to -8℃ is thrilling! Slide down the ice sculpture slide with screams, check in at Elsa’s castle for amazing photos, the park offers free cotton-padded clothes, but be sure to wear thick socks + non-slip shoes👟, southern kids can finally enjoy playing in the snow freely~ 3. Cliff Rail Car🚟: A 3-kilometer mountain loop rail that’s super relaxing! Overlooking lush green sugarcane fields and karst peak forests, the breeze feels wonderful, kids clap excitedly the whole way👏 🍜Food list (locals’ secret!) · Zhuang Family Biji Banquet🥥: A table fully covered with banana leaves! Five-color glutinous rice, fragrant pan-fried sausage, steamed river shrimp, all for about 60 yuan per person to unlock ethnic flavors, great for photos~ · Rolled Rice Noodles🌯: A must-eat at small shops around the scenic area! Soft rice sheets wrapped with delicious minced meat + wood ear mushrooms, dipped in the soul sauce, two servings are never enough😋 · Lemon Duck🦆: Blind order at Zhuang restaurants in Daxin County! The duck meat is firm and not dry, the sweet and sour spicy flavor is super refreshing, pairs perfectly with rice for extra bowls🍚 · Sour Porridge Hotpot🌶️: Fermented sour soup cooked with river fish, so sour and spicy it makes you stomp your feet! A local treasure eaten daily, missing it means missing out~ ⚠️Pitfall tips (learned the hard way!) · Don’t buy tickets on-site! Online combo tickets cost 99-149 yuan (including ice cave + small train + cotton clothes), saving over 50 yuan compared to buying separately💰, only fools buy on-site! · Food and drinks inside the park are scarce and expensive, hot drinks in the ice cave are double price, bring your own thermos + snacks🍪, no worries if thirsty or hungry~ · The cave is damp and slippery, wear non-slip sports shoes! Don’t touch the stalactites🙅‍♀️, it affects their growth and you might get fined~ · Free admission for children under 1.2 meters / seniors over 70! Only pay for the small train + cotton clothes, don’t be tricked into spending more~ 🚗Transportation tips · Self-drive: 2 hours from Nanning, 1.5 hours from Chongzuo, parking at the scenic area costs 15 yuan per visit, very convenient🅿️ · Public transport: From Nanning Beida Bus Station → Daxin County (42 yuan), then transfer to local bus to Naling (4 yuan), very cost-effective~ · More value with combo tours: 40 km from Detian Waterfall, buy the “Dragon Palace + Detian” combo ticket to save time and money, enjoy two major attractions in one trip🌟

#CelebrateWithTrip Cave tour is not my favorite thing to do but this cave is an exception. It's a very big cave. An entire village can fit inside the cave. No need to bring headlights because they installed lights already from the entrance to the exit. Pathways are concrete. Inside, you can see real dinosaur bones. We enjoyed the boat tour in Jade Cave The Dragon Palace Scenic Spot consists, Dragon Palace Cave, Yuhu Cave, Jade Immortal Cave, Xianzhen Cave, Lover's Valley Drift and the Forest Park. Here you can see a spectacular forest view, tingling spring etc Location : Pengze County, Jiujiang Jiangxi Best time to visit: Rainy season to enjoy the river and falls inside the cave. #MyTripVlog #tripblazers

📍 Basic info · Location: Tianhong Town, Pengze County, Jiujiang. Navigate to "Longgong Cave Scenic Area" · Admission: Adult 80 yuan (approx. 75 yuan online, includes boat ticket); from June 10 to September 30, 2026, students taking the college entrance exam can get free general admission with their exam admission ticket (boat ticket not included) · Hours: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (last entry at 4:30 PM) · Transport: There is a direct bus from Jiujiang Bus Station to Yangzi at 1:40 PM that passes by Longgong Cave; alternatively, buy a ticket to Dingshan and transfer to a minibus to Tianhong ✅ Worth visiting · Constant temperature of 18°C inside the cave: It's like walking into a refrigerator in summer. It's over 30°C outside, so a light jacket is just right inside · Boat ride in Yuhu Cave: A 700-meter water cave. Ride a boat through the stalactites, "sailing on green waves, traveling within a painting" · Sea-Stabilizing Needle + Dragon King's Throne: The stalagmite in the West Palace stands tall and imposing. The main palace is called the Crystal Palace, and with the lighting, it really feels like the East Sea Dragon Palace · Fewer crowds: Much quieter than those popular caves, so you don't have to dodge people when taking photos ❌ Reasons to reconsider · The total distance inside and outside the cave is about 8 km. Seniors and children are advised to take the scenic area shuttle bus · The cave is slippery. Wear non-slip shoes and avoid high heels · There are many stairs in some sections. If you have bad knees, take it slow 🗺️ Route Longmen > Reception Hall > Corridor > East Palace > West Palace > Drum and Music Hall > Main Palace (Crystal Palace) > Boat ride in Yuhu Water Cave > Return. The whole trip takes 2–3 hours 📸 Photo spots · West Palace Sea-Stabilizing Needle: The lighting on the stalagmite makes for a stunning low-angle shot · On the boat in Yuhu Water Cave: Capture the reflections of the stalactites in the water · Main Palace Crystal Palace: Use a wide-angle lens to capture the stone curtains on the ceiling 💰 Cost Admission: 75–80 yuan (includes boat ticket) ≈ 80 yuan (if you are a college entrance exam taker with free admission, you only need to pay for the boat ticket) 💣 Tips · Free admission for college entrance exam takers does not include the boat ticket; the boat ticket must be purchased separately · Buying online in advance is a few yuan cheaper than on-site and saves you from queuing · Bring a light jacket; it gets chilly after staying in the 18°C cave for a while · Wear non-slip shoes; the ground inside the cave is damp all year round

When visiting Pengze, don't miss Digong Tower, a riverside landmark that serves as a key cultural site for the county and is free to the public. Built to commemorate Di Renjie's tenure as the magistrate of Pengze, this antique-style building with its upturned eaves stands on the banks of the Yangtze. Climb the tower for panoramic views of the vast, rolling river. Stroll through the exhibition halls to learn about Di Renjie's history in Pengze and experience the area's thousand-year cultural heritage. The fourth-floor observation deck is a must-visit, offering an unobstructed view of the mighty Yangtze and the scenery on the opposite bank. At sunset, the golden light across the water creates an incredible atmosphere. At night, the tower lights up, and with the gentle river breeze, it's a perfect spot for photos. Watch the river flow by day and soak in the historical context. In the evening, wait for the Yangtze sunset; the gentle breeze is incredibly soothing. It's a great spot for cultural sightseeing, watching the sunset over the Yangtze, and photographing the city's river views. You can combine this with a visit to Shuangfengjian Forest Park and Madang Battery to plan your Pengze itinerary. 💡Tips: Open Tuesday–Sunday (closed Mondays, so plan accordingly). There are many stairs, so wear comfortable shoes. The sunset views are spectacular, so we recommend arriving in the evening.

Finally, I have arrived on the land where the master once lived. The sky over Jiujiang is slightly overcast; even though the sky is clear, the silhouette of Mount Lu cannot be seen among the distant mountains. Yet, in my heart, the waterfalls of Mount Lu and the misty rain of the mountains appear vividly, and that line, "Plucking chrysanthemums under the eastern fence, I gaze leisurely at the southern mountain," slowly spreads through my mind. In my youth, with little experience, I could not understand Tao Gong's words. As I have grown older and experienced more of life, I have only just begun to ponder them. I used to always ask: did Master Jingjie resolutely resign as the Magistrate of Pengze simply because he was unwilling to bow and scrape to his superiors? Arriving in Jiujiang and seeing the tomb of Master Jingjie, wandering through it, and re-reading the "Return to the Fields and Gardens," I realized that his initial appointment was merely to support his family. After resigning and returning home, how was he to sustain his daily life? Life is ultimately not a play; it does not reach a perfect climax the moment one returns home, nor does it end with servants welcoming him, children waiting at the door, and the whole family reunited. After returning to the fields, there was still the labor of firewood and rice, and the reality of poverty and hardship. Only upon reaching old age did I slowly begin to understand the master. Master Five Willows lived his life with openness and sincerity, his heart and words in harmony. Hardship never crushed him; he integrated the difficulties of his circumstances, his reflections on life and death, the smoke and fire of the countryside, and the myriad phenomena of heaven and earth into his poetry and prose. Just as the poem says: "It is not worth regretting that my clothes are soiled, as long as my wishes are not violated." Physical labor and soiled clothes are not worth worrying about; as long as one holds fast to one's inner aspirations, that is enough. Xin Qiji once wrote with great emotion: "Believe that in plucking chrysanthemums under the eastern fence, with high sentiments spanning a thousand years, there is only Tao Pengze." Bowing my head, I offer a bouquet of autumn chrysanthemums from afar. The white clouds have drifted for a thousand years, and the master's spirit remains immortal. 💡Travel Notes Relics related to Tao Yuanming's hometown are scattered around the Chaisang area of Jiujiang. There are no grand, complete historical sites; it is more of a spiritual pilgrimage. In rainy or foggy weather, Mount Lu is easily hidden in the clouds. There is no need to be obsessed with seeing the mountains with your own eyes; the landscapes exist within the poetry and prose.

⚠️ Important: Bailudong Academy is located at the southern foot of Wulao Peak, Mount Lushan, not on the summit! It is part of the Lushan World Cultural Landscape, and admission is free within 7 days of purchasing a Lushan general admission ticket. As the premier academy among the Four Great Academies of China, it is where Zhu Xi once lectured. The environment is serene, the ancient architecture is very photogenic, and a visit takes 2–3 hours. 📍 Address: No. 27 Huanshan Road, Haihui Town, Lushan City, Jiujiang ⏰ Opening Hours Peak season (Apr–Oct): 7:30 AM–6:00 PM (last entry at 5:00 PM) Off-season (Nov–Mar): 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (last entry at 4:00 PM) 🎫 Tickets Individual ticket: Adult 40 yuan, online approx. 35 yuan; student with ID half price 20 yuan ✨ Save money: If you have a Lushan general admission ticket, swipe your ID card for free entry (valid for 7 days) Free admission: Seniors aged 65+, children under 1.2m, military personnel, and people with disabilities with valid ID There is a free shuttle bus from the visitor center to the academy entrance, so no need to walk uphill 🚗 Transportation Self-driving (Recommended) Navigation: Bailudong Academy Visitor Center; parking 10 yuan/time, no time limit About 40 minutes from the Lushan summit; about 15 yuan by taxi from Lushan City (Xingzi) downtown; about 40 minutes from Jiujiang city center. Public transport Take bus 632 from Jiujiang Station to Bailudong Academy Station, then walk 10 minutes to the entrance Take the Jiujiang–Xingzi minibus from Jiujiang Bus Station, get off at the Academy intersection, and walk 10 minutes; buses are infrequent, so check the last bus time for your return 🗺️ Sightseeing Route (No backtracking) Leisurely half-day route (2 hours, for general visitors) Free shuttle bus → Lingxing Gate (Ming Dynasty stone archway) → Zhuangyuan Bridge → Lisheng Hall (Confucius shrine, with a plaque inscribed by Emperor Kangxi) → Minglun Hall (Zhu Xi's lecture hall, see the "Bailudong Academy Regulations") → Yushu Pavilion → Zhuzi Shrine → **Bailudong Cave (Stone Deer)** → Sixian Terrace (climb up for a panoramic view of the academy) → Stele Corridor (ancient stone carvings) → Zhenliu Bridge, return along Guandao Creek to the exit In-depth study route (3 hours) Follow the route above, then explore the rear mountain valley and Dudu Pavilion, examine the various stone inscriptions in detail, and soak in the atmosphere of the mountain academy. 💡 Fun fact: Bailudong (White Deer Cave) is not a large mountain cave, but a natural rock cavern containing a stone deer statue, from which the academy gets its name. 🍜 Dining & Accommodation There is only a small shop inside the academy, no restaurant. Dining: Farmhouse dishes and Lushan cuisine in nearby Haihui Town, approx. 40–60 yuan per person; or return to Lushan City downtown for meals. Accommodation: Yanbin Hotel inside the academy: Ancient-style homestay, windows open to the academy, great atmosphere, higher price; Homestays in Haihui Town or hotels in Lushan City downtown offer more choices and better value. ✅ Tips & Avoid Pitfalls The scenic area is full of stone steps, so wear comfortable flat shoes; there are many mosquitoes in the mountains, so bring repellent. Best time to visit: 9:00 AM–11:00 AM, fewer crowds and good lighting; there are many study groups on weekends, so try to go on weekdays. Audio guides are available for 20 yuan; there is no forced consumption, and all courtyards and stone inscriptions are free to view. Do not touch the steles or stone carvings to protect the cultural relics. Distinction: Bailudong Academy (at the foot of the mountain) ≠ Lushan summit scenic area, do not navigate to the wrong place. 📍 Nearby Connections (Lushan Loop) Option A: Lushan summit tour → Drive down to Bailudong Academy (40 minutes), then visit Tianmu Hot Spring and stay in Hot Spring Town. Option B: Bailudong Academy → Longgong Cave (Pengze) → Donghu Village → Xihai Bay, a self-driving loop of northern Jiangxi from Jiujiang

The Dragon Palace Cave is a karst cave formed over 500 million years, with stalactites, stalagmites, and stone pillars in various shapes. The main attractions are Dragon Palace Cave, Jade Pot Cave, and Jade Immortal Cave, with a total tour time of about 3–4 hours. Dragon Palace Cave: the core area, longest and most impressive. The stalactites resemble scenes like the “Sea-Calming Needle” from the Dragon Palace, stretching 1,600 meters in length. Jade Pot Cave: explore the underground dark river by boat for a unique experience. It also houses the Guinness World Record holder for the “world’s largest cave basketball court.” Jade Immortal Cave (Dinosaur Cave): features dinosaur models and a volcano eruption simulation, a must-visit for families. Xianzhen Rock: after exiting the cave, you can visit the thousand-year-old Longxian Temple, founded in 227 AD, along the way. ✨ 2026 summer limited highlights Visit this summer to enjoy new experiences: “Half-cave no-light exploration” night tour: the first half of the tour turns off colored lights, where you wear a helmet and carry a miner’s lamp to explore the cave’s original features in darkness; the second half lights up to admire geological wonders. “Seashore activities” inside the cave: in the Jade Pot Cave dark river area, you can catch fish, shrimp, and crabs. 💎 travel tips Easy route: take the sightseeing bus from the visitor center → elevator/stairs into Dragon Palace Cave → after touring, take the bus to Jade Pot Cave (boat ride) → finally visit Jade Immortal Cave (dinosaur park) → take the bus back to the exit. Special reminder: some areas inside the cave may have no cell signal; bats inhabit Jade Immortal Cave; dining options in the park are limited and not very cost-effective, so bringing your own snacks is recommended.

If Guizhou is the kingdom of karst landscapes, then Anshun · Guizhou is the paradise of caves. Inside the caves, sunlight never reaches, making them the top choice for summer cooling. The jagged cave walls connect to bottomless underground rivers. Years of water erosion have shaped each cave into a unique form. Without further delay, let’s explore the secrets of Anshun’s caves together! The most impressive cave cluster Dragon Palace Cave, Dragon Palace Scenic Area “See the Dragon Palace to understand the world’s water caves. Drift a light boat to a fairyland on earth.” “All the world’s karst is in Dragon Palace.” The Dragon Palace Scenic Area combines caves, canyons, waterfalls, peak forests, cliffs, streams, stone forests, funnels, and underground rivers into one, making it the most comprehensive and concentrated karst geological display. Dragon Palace holds two Guinness World Records: the largest and most numerous water and land cave cluster—the Dragon Palace Cave Cluster—and the place with the lowest natural radiation—the Dragon Palace Scenic Area. Famous photo spots in the area, like the “Dragon” character field and Dragon Gate waterfall, are truly breathtaking. First cave of Dragon Palace The first cave is the starting point of the Dragon Palace water cave cluster. It stretches 840 meters between Tianchi and Bangke Rock, forming the underground river flow in the central scenic area. The cave is densely filled with stalactites of various shapes—some hanging high, some dipping into the water, or flowing down the cave walls—creating a unique landscape. Second cave of Dragon Palace The second cave lies beneath Bangke Rock. Its layout resembles a string of beads, with a length of 540 meters, a height of 61 meters, and a width of 5–30 meters, naturally forming four cave halls. The second cave also features a special attraction: the time-space tunnel. This tunnel feels dreamy and like a journey through different time and space rifts, visiting different realms. You’ll see the rare treasures of Dragon Palace, karst waterfalls on the cave walls, stalactites accumulated over thousands of years, and bizarre inverted stone buds. Surrounding scenery Dragon Palace Tianchi, Dragon Palace Scenic Area – Tianchi Tianchi is a mountain stream lake, clear and green like jade, also called “Dragon Pool.” Water from the Dragon Pool cascades down from a huge cave, forming the Dragon Gate waterfall with towering water walls. Dragon Gate waterfall You can feel the mist from the waterfall 10 meters away, with roaring waves creating a spectacular scene. It washes away worldly dust and refreshes the mind. Xuetang, Dragon Palace Scenic Area – Xuetang The unique Xuetang whirlpool, where the mountain doesn’t turn but the water does, is exclusive to Dragon Palace. People often pray by the Xuetang River for smooth sailing throughout the year. Yelang legend Yelang Cave Yelang Cave “Admire the wonders of the caves. Hear the legend of Yelang.” Yelang Cave is named after the legendary Yelang king who once lived here. Located in Zhenning, Anshun, it connects closely with Huangguoshu Tourist Area and Shitouzhai Scenic Area. It is the world’s most concentrated karst cave cluster. The area features the spectacular Yelang Cave, Shihua Cave, Fengziyan Cave, and other caves, along with sinkholes and the Yan Peak cliff, forming a natural underground museum. Yelang Cave is a natural attraction combining mountain, water, cave scenery, and ethnic cultural charm. The Golden Throne Hall and Jade Lady are the most famous spots. Besides typical karst landscapes of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, the cave is surrounded by ancient Buyi villages by the mountains and water, making it an ideal place to appreciate karst landscapes and pristine ecology. After visiting the two stunning caves, Dragon Palace Scenic Area and Yelang Cave, accommodation is well arranged! Stay at Anshun Xixianglin Hotel (Xixianglin Hotel, Anshun Huangguoshu Avenue branch), a moderate drive from the cave areas. Free parking for self-driving guests, clean and smart rooms, and a rich buffet breakfast. After a full day of cave hiking, relax well at the hotel. Nearby night markets and snacks are easy to explore. For exploring Anshun’s karst underground secrets, this hotel is the perfect choice! Community Creation Center

No rain, no rainbow. Hidden in the clouds of northern Guangxi is a vast wilderness. It is the main peak of Yuechengling, the second highest peak in South China (2,123 meters above sea level), and also a secret realm of alpine meadows and sea of clouds in northern Guangxi. Standing on the meadow of Zhenbaoding, you truly understand what it means to reach out and touch the clouds. The continuous mountain ranges stretch to the horizon, white wind turbines spin in the mist, blending the sound of the wind into the wild mountains. The morning sea of clouds is gentle, like a soft cotton quilt covering the mountains. When the sun rises, the rosy light dyes the clouds warm orange, even the tips of the grass catch the light. Walking along the wooden railing-lined path, with withered yellow grass underfoot and layered mountains in the distance, the wind carries the scent of grass and trees, blowing away all fatigue like smoke. Here there are no crowded crowds, only wild wind turbines and rolling clouds. No need to worry about troubles, just sit on the grassy slope watching the clouds roll and unfold, listening to the sound of the wind turbines turning, even your breathing slows down. This is probably what mountain wilderness healing looks like. Core Attractions and Features: Above 2,000 meters elevation, continuous meadows stretch out, lush green in spring and summer, withered yellow in autumn and winter, forming a magnificent wilderness painting with the layered mountains. Wind Turbine Array: Dozens of wind turbines line the ridge, their white blades spinning in the mist, a stunning fusion of aesthetics and nature. Sea of Clouds Wonder: After rain or early in the morning, the sea of clouds easily forms, mist flowing over meadows and mountains. At sunrise, the rosy light penetrates the clouds, as if in a fairyland. · Mountain Road: The winding road wraps around the mountains like a silver ribbon. From an aerial perspective, it has a strong sense of depth, making it a treasure spot for self-driving and photo stops. 📸 Photo Tips Lighting: Shoot the sea of clouds and wind turbine silhouettes with side backlighting from 5:30-7:00 AM or 5:30-6:30 PM. Warm rosy light enhances the photos. Angle: Use a low angle close to the meadow or climb high to shoot the mountain road and wind turbine group from above, highlighting the depth of the cloud road. · Composition: Use wooden railings, trails, or dead trees in the foreground to frame the wind turbines and sea of clouds, enhancing the layers of the image. 📍 Practical Information Address: Border of Quanzhou County, Guilin City, Guangxi and Xinning County, Shaoyang City, Hunan (navigate to Zhenbaoding) · Duration: 1-2 days (camping and stargazing possible) Season: Spring and autumn (March-May, October-November), high probability of sea of clouds 💡 Travel Tips You can drive directly to the foot of the mountain; hiking to the summit takes about 3-4 hours. The trail is steep and suitable for experienced hikers. · The summit is windy and cold; it is recommended to bring windproof warm jackets and sun protection. The best sea of clouds viewing spots are the summit platform and along the wind turbine positions. Check the weather and sunrise time in advance.

Features: Heidi's Garden is managed by Hai Ma along with other horticulturists. This time, the venue is quite large. Upon entering, you'll find a fresh flower arrangement area and a wooden hydrangea tunnel. The hydrangeas are already blooming. In the middle, there is a huge lawn. After crossing the lawn, you'll reach the flower area created by the horticulturists, which is especially great for taking photos and checking in. Continuing up the hillside, there is a swing area suitable for both adults and children. Further along, there is a pavilion viewing platform; the second floor offers a better view. Below the pavilion is a water lily pond, which should look beautiful once fully grown. Continuing on, there is a mountain flower area. Ahead, there are two ancient-style pavilions with terraces, pavilions, and winding streams, creating a very poetic atmosphere. Parking: Parking is free with two parking lots, tentatively called Parking Lot One and Parking Lot Two. After entering the main gate, there is a parking lot on the right, which we'll call Parking Lot One. Above Parking Lot One is the plant sales area of Heidi's Garden. Following the road straight from the main gate to the end, on the left is Parking Lot Two, located next to the entrance of Xinghai Flower Industry Park. Parking Lot Two is somewhat smaller. Food, Drinks, and Restrooms: There are public restrooms inside the park. A beverage cart is available inside where you can buy drinks. Outside the park, there is a long glass building offering coffee, milk tea, light meals, and traditional covered bowl tea. It's a nice place to sit and relax. Small food stalls are being set up and will likely be added in the future. There is also a self-service vending machine by the roadside with drinks and bread, a convenient option for a quick bite. The garden has just been completed, and the plants still need time to grow. It's good for taking photos and strolling around, but don't have too high expectations yet. Currently, the ticket price is 9.9 yuan, and annual passes are available. You can inquire with the staff at the entrance.

Take your time to explore just right~🍃 --- 📍First Stop: Anhui · China · The Dawn and Dusk of Hongcun and the Ancient Charm of Huizhou 🚄 High-speed rail direct to Huangshan North Station, about 1.5-3 hours from the Yangtze River Delta 🏡 Must-experience slow life: 1️⃣ Stay in a painting in Hongcun: Be sure to stay inside the Hongcun scenic area! At 6 a.m., open your window to see Nanhu Lake shrouded in mist, white walls and black tiles reflected in the water, and the village not yet taken over by tour groups. Set up an easel by Moon Pond to paint, or just sit on the stone steps daydreaming as sunlight slowly climbs the horse-head walls. At night, when the lanterns light up the ancient alleys and the daytime noise fades, this is the true "village in a painting." 2️⃣ Nanhu Lake morning mist photography: The most beautiful time is 6:30-7:30 a.m., when the mist floats like gauze over the water and the distant green mountains appear faint. Bring a folding chair to sit by the lake and watch the light change slowly—no rush to snap photos. 3️⃣ Moon Pond afternoon time: The crescent-shaped pond reflects Huizhou architecture. Find a corner to sit, watch students sketching and elders chatting, and time seems to stand still. 4️⃣ Explore the wood carvings at Chengzhi Hall: Known as the "Folk Palace Museum," the wood carvings are exquisitely detailed, every part worth slow appreciation. Join a guided tour—more useful than reading ten travel guides. 5️⃣ Stroll Tunxi Old Street: Known as the "Living Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival," browse Huizhou ink, She inkstones, Huangshan baked cakes along the way. Find an old teahouse, order a cup of Huangshan Maofeng tea, and watch the bustling street life—this is Huizhou slow living. 🍜 Anhui must-eats: Stinky mandarin fish (smells bad but tastes great), Mao tofu (crispy outside, tender inside), braised dried bamboo shoots with pork, Huangshan baked cake, Huizhou ink pastry 🏠 Stay: Recommended homestays inside Hongcun scenic area; waking up to Nanhu Lake in the morning is worth the extra cost. 📍Second Stop: Jiangxi · Slow-paced time at the foot of Lushan 🚄 Huangshan North → Jiujiang Station about 2.5 hours (via Jingdezhen transfer) 🌿 Must-experience slow life: 1️⃣ Stay a few days in Lushan: About 1 hour from Jiujiang up the mountain, stay in an old villa in Guling Town with windows opening to misty clouds. The flower season is March to April; walk slowly along the path, surrounded by floral fragrance. 4️⃣ Longyuan Gorge, a new 4A scenic spot: Located in Yongxiu County in the Jiuling Mountains, with air negative ion concentration meeting national first-class standards, known as the "Oriental Amazon" and "Southern Jiuzhaigou." Wear a Warring States robe and stroll under the ancient city walls, climb Binyang Tower to overlook the whole ancient city and feel the weight of history. The bricks on the walls are weathered and mottled; touch the 600-year-old marks and time seems frozen. 2️⃣ Zhang Juzheng Street food stroll: The old street is full of local life and food—Jingzhou fish cake, Gong’an guokui (flatbread), Honghu lotus root soup. Drive to Pengzhen Ancient Town. The journey is approximately 134 kilometers via the Chengdu-Leshan Expressway. Upon arrival, park the car in a private courtyard next to the ancient town. · The winding cobblestone streets of the ancient town are lined with authentic Western Sichuan folk houses, old shops, and teahouses everywhere, where time seems to slow down. · Along the way, sample local snacks like wooden bucket tofu pudding, braised rabbit, and guokui (a type of flatbread), all with authentic flavors that will leave you wanting more. · When you're tired from exploring, head to Guanyinge Old Teahouse and order a bowl of covered tea for 10 yuan. This is the soul of Pengzhen and one of the best-preserved century-old teahouses in Western Sichuan, dating back to the Qing Dynasty. The traditional stove, the muddy floor, the old bamboo chairs, and the old slogans on the walls all bear the marks of time; sitting down here is like experiencing a moment of tranquility. · Depart from the ancient town at 3:30 PM, drive 30 kilometers, and arrive at Chengdu Tianfu Square at 4:00 PM to return the rental car, concluding this trip to Southwest Sichuan. Trip Summary · This trip around Chengdu covered approximately 300 kilometers, mainly on highways. Road conditions were good, and renting a car was convenient and flexible. · This trip was incredibly lucky: I witnessed a magnificent sea of clouds at the Golden Summit of Emei Mountain, with distant views of Mount Gongga; the Leshan morning market was full of vibrant energy; and Pengzhen Ancient Town was an unexpected delight. · Choosing Leidongping for accommodation on Emei Mountain was a wise decision, as it allowed for an early morning climb and a midday descent, perfectly avoiding peak tourist seasons. In the future, I'd like to hike the entire way up from Baoguo Temple to truly experience Emei. · Leshan boasts a wealth of authentic and delicious food, making it worth a special trip for the food; Pengzhen, however, requires a slower pace to truly appreciate its charm—a cup of tea, a stroll through the streets, a bite of local snack.
