2026 Pialligo Travel Guide: must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transport & travel experiences (updated in July)

We’re so happy we went for this. What an incredible way to take in Canberra. Floating serenely above the lake and Parliament House was such a peaceful experience. It was wonderful to share it with my wife and friends. Duncan was a very skilled pilot and truly a kind person, backed by an excellent support team. At no point did it ever feel unsafe. I will definitely go ballooning again.

Took my wife for her birthday along with our two grown kids. The entire experience was smooth—from the booking process and consistent, clear updates on flight time and meeting location to the actual meet-up, transport, take-off, flight, and landing. Our pilot, Kim, was not only skilled but also humorous and informative, expertly navigating treetops and rotating the balloon to ensure everyone enjoyed the views equally. The photos from the onboard camera were stunning, making this a trip we’ll always cherish. Fantastic work, Balloon Aloft!

Despite the early start, everything was efficiently organized and timely. After arriving at the designated takeoff location, the balloon was swiftly inflated, the passengers were settled into the basket, and we were airborne. There was no noise except for the burners above and the fading sound of morning traffic below. Entertainment was even provided with a police car chase. We soared over the western part of Lake Burley Griffin, Government House, and the National Arboretum toward Belconnen, landing softly and perfectly. The entire crew was fantastic—the pilot Kim and the ground crew were superb. It was an excellent experience that I would gladly repeat.
