Tokyo Trip: A Hotel with a View of Skytree near Senso-ji Temple
🏨Choosing a hotel in Tokyo can be quite challenging, especially when considering location, amenities, and price. For this trip to Tokyo, in order to capture the stunning, early morning beauty of Senso-ji Temple without the crowds, we chose this hotel located right next to it. Here are the details:
—————————
Name: Asakusa View Hotel
Address: 3-17-1 Nishi-Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo
Facilities: Bar, restaurant, free Wi-Fi in public areas, high-rise viewing platform, bathtub, laundry, free adapter rental, luggage storage, direct airport limousine bus, etc.

🌟Ambiance
The hotel is a striking, towering building. The lobby is quite grand and ornate, and the public areas are clean and well-designed. The rooms themselves are a bit underwhelming, perhaps due to the hotel's 40+ year history. The decor isn't exactly modern minimalist; it's more of a classic style.
🌟Facilities
As a long-standing hotel, I think the facilities are adequate, though a bit dated. They are generally well-maintained. Most Japanese hotel rooms come standard with a bathtub, and compared to the typically compact Japanese hotel rooms, the rooms here are relatively spacious. The large picture windows offer beautiful views, including the Skytree.
🌟Service
Overall, the service is acceptable. The staff in the lobby and public areas are very enthusiastic. Luggage storage is self-service, and many items are available for free rental. There's a direct airport limousine bus, and the hotel is close to the subway station. One downside: the cell phone signal in the rooms is poor, and the hotel couldn't resolve the issue.
🏨The price-performance ratio depends on your perspective. If you're mainly sightseeing or shopping, the location and room size make it a good value. But if you're looking for a relaxing vacation and plan to spend most of your time in the hotel room, it might not be the best value.
