#tripaway What is the first thing that comes into your mind when you think of Hiroshima? Personally, I will think about the Hiroshima tragic bombing in 1945. In A bomb Dome at Peace Memorial Park, you can visit various places that are dedicated to the tragic Hiroshima atomic bombing. I was so astonished to see the partly destroyed dome despite its closeness to the hypocenter of the bombing. Instead of completely demolishing it, I am glad that the Japanese chose to preserve the building to show the world the horror of the bombing.

Hiroshima Peace Memorial, also called the Atomic Bomb Dome or A-Bomb Dome , is in central Hiroshima, Japan. It is part of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park. UNESCO named the dome a World Heritage Site in 1996. The dome is the ruined Hiroshima Prefectural Products Exhibition Hall. It was kept as a memorial to the people who were killed in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. The bombing killed 70,000 people instantly, and another 70,000 died later from the radiation. #wintergetaway

Hiroshima, a city full of resilience and hope! 🕊️ Situated in the western part of Japan's Honshu Island, Hiroshima is a lively urban center with a deep history and a promising future.
A must-see spot is the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, dedicated to honoring the victims of the atomic bomb and advocating for peace. 🕊️ Visitors can pay their respects at the Memorial Cenotaph and the Atomic Bomb Dome, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, for free.
To delve deeper into the city's past, a visit to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum is essential. 🏛️ For an entrance fee of 200, the museum's displays, including artifacts and survivor testimonies, provide a moving and enlightening view of the events of August 6, 1945.
After exploring the Peace Park, take a relaxing walk along the riverside promenade, offering picturesque views of the Ota River and the iconic Shukkeien Garden. 🌿 Entry to the garden is 260 and provides a peaceful retreat from the busy city streets.
Hiroshima is also a paradise for food lovers, renowned for its mouthwatering okonomiyaki and fresh oysters. 🍲 Make sure to savor these local delicacies at one of the many dining spots in the city.

Unforgettable history with Hiroshima !!
Hiroshima!!! When we look back to history, Hiroshima was the first military target of a nuclear weapon in human history.
On Monday, August 6, 1945, at 8:15 a.m. (Hiroshima time), the nuclear weapon "Little Boy" was dropped on Hiroshima from an American Army and damaged 70% of Hiroshima and end of the year 160,000 plus people died .
I felt so sad when I walk around that area and the weather was not in my side either . So, I went into peace memorial hall and watch documentaries series of the whole history. If you want to know more details like me , can read the book name called “ Hiroshima “ written by John Hersey . And all the attractions places are within reach . There are three sightseeing buses running as a loop start and end at Hiroshima station, and if you age holding JR pass , you can use that bus for free. See you on the other side of the world 🤭🤭

Hiroshima, one of the two cities in Japan that got atomic bomb dropped during world war two. The atomic bomb dome is built to remember that historic day. The architecture of the dome is interesting and combine with the quiet park next to it, this place can be memorable to visit. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here. #wintergetaway
