Bangkok Illustration Fair 2022 .... bringing together works from various artists. 🎨
Let's update our list of must-visit exhibitions for this season with Bangkok Illustration Fair (BKKIF)! This event is a gathering of talented illustrators and artists from various countries, coming together to showcase their works, chat, and share experiences. This year, the event will be held On Ground, making it easier for us to enjoy and purchase their pieces, at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) on floors 1, 3, and 9 from September 8th to 11th, 2022.
Floor 9 will be the main hub of the event, where more than 160 artists from Thailand and other countries will be exhibiting their works and selling merchandise featuring their unique styles. As a big fan of many of these artists, I was thrilled to see them up close and have the opportunity to purchase a few pieces as souvenirs (I regret not bringing along some of my favorite pieces for them to sign, though). If you're interested, you can buy tickets through Event Pop or purchase them on-site at BACC for only 100 and 200 baht, respectively, for access to all four days of the event. Plus, on the lower floor, there's a photo booth where you can snap some fun pics! With so many amazing artists in attendance, I couldn't get enough of this event. Make sure to check it out for yourself!
If you're a fan of beautiful illustrations and great art exhibitions, then Bangkok Illustration Fair 2022 is not to be missed. It's a fantastic opportunity to meet the talented artists behind the illustrations, so don't hesitate to go and see it for yourself.
📆Date: September 8th-11th, 2022
📌Location: Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC), floors 1, 3, and 9

Bangkok- Bangkok Art & Culture Centre
I had some free time during the afternoon when I was at Bankok and I thought since I am heading to Siam area might as well drop by Bangkok Art & Culture Centre which I found it on Google map and that it is very accessible and just opposite a popular mall- MBK centre. It was a rainy noon so it was perfect to head indoor to view what is like for the art of Thailand and guess what? It is also free admission to all, be in local or foreigner so it was a good time to spend it here while I wait out the rain.
Once enter by the level 2 area I was greeted by handmade works from people in Thailand. It was modern inside and there are different art exhibitions monthly or period (able to check on their website for the latest update) It was quite mind-blowing to view ir. I saw mostly students inside the museum as well and most of the visitors were respectable and quiet. Do take note while you are able to take photos, no flash is allowed and no stepping over the black line.
It was a fun day to look at art, some of them were in English too. There are also some shops and pop up event that sells arty items like displays, books, tote bag, etc.
Do drop by here if you have spare time since it is also free admission and only take up only 1 or 2 hours of your time.

there is an art center worth visiting for a day
once to go to Bangkok, Tiante hot, do not want to go shopping. So I asked my local friends and recommended me to the Bangkok Art and Culture Center, just beside MBK. From the first floor, I have been strolling to the top floor, and I dont feel bored at all. The art of Bangkok is the same as the people, food and climate here: passionate and energetic.
There will be photo exhibitions from time to time, you can see all angles of Bangkok. Very worth a day! There are also a few very good creative shops in it, which can be used to make fun of small things.

A place with plenty of art from upcoming artists to well established ones. Free entrance. Small cafes and food places on the lower floors.
We were quite happy we visited this place. Some of the art was amazing, fantastic styles and showing a lot of talent.
I highly recommend visiting this centre if you have enough time.
Surprisingly a really entertaining building that we got like 2.5 hours worth of experiences from. There are some really neat stores in the building situated between studio spaces that the public can look at — and even contribute to.

BACC: Where Art and Culture Unite
#songkran2024
Visiting the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) was a truly enriching experience that immersed me in the vibrant tapestry of Thailand's artistic and cultural heritage. From the moment I stepped through its doors, I was captivated by the dynamic energy and creativity that permeated every corner of the center.
Exploring the BACC's sprawling galleries, I was treated to a diverse array of contemporary art exhibitions, showcasing the work of both local and international artists. From thought-provoking installations to striking paintings and sculptures, each piece offered a unique perspective on the world around us.
But the BACC was more than just an art gallery – it was a hub of cultural exchange and creativity. Throughout my visit, I encountered live performances, film screenings, and interactive workshops that engaged all the senses and fostered a sense of connection and community among visitors.
One of the highlights of my experience was ascending the center's iconic spiral staircase, which offered breathtaking views of the bustling cityscape below. From this vantage point, I gained a newfound appreciation for Bangkok's rich cultural heritage and its dynamic role on the global stage.

Check in at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre for 0 baht, where you can enjoy delicious food, take beautiful photos, and have a great time browsing
Every time I visit a city, I like to explore the local museums and art centers. Surprisingly, Bangkok also has so many art galleries that are both enjoyable to visit and photogenic.
Due to limited time, I only chose the conveniently located Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC).
It's near the Siam shopping district and often hosts exhibitions on photography, design, fashion, drama, and more. When we visited, there happened to be a graduation design exhibition, featuring all sorts of imaginative clothing and CI designs.
Besides, the architecture of the place is also worth seeing. The most unique feature is the staircase, similar to New York's Guggenheim Museum, with a spiraling walkway that leads visitors all the way to the top floor. The surrealist style is just like what was said in the Japanese drama 'Quartet': 'There are three paths in life: the uphill, the downhill, and the unexpected.' One should have the confidence to enjoy the uphill and the courage to complete the downhill, while also being able to handle all the unexpected turns in life's journey.
The Bangkok Art Centre is really big, I remember it having about 9 floors, and inside there are bookstores, shops, and cafes. The air conditioning is just right, not too cold or too hot, making it a perfect spot for art enthusiasts to spend the whole day. If you're just there to take photos, please allocate at least 2 hours.
Right across from the art center is a shopping mall with a supermarket and restaurants, so after browsing, you can eat and shop to your heart's content. We discovered an ultra-sexy maid cafe but chose a Thai restaurant next door with handsome waiters instead. The 68🐷 Thai noodle soup was deliciously explosive.
Transportation: BTS Siam Station Exit 2, walk 850 meters, opposite MBK Center. Connected to Siam Discovery by a sky bridge.
BTS National Stadium Station Exit 3, a 2-minute walk.
Opening hours: 10:00——19:00, closed on Mondays
Admission: Free

Bangkok Art and Culture Centre is a contemporary arts centre in Bangkok, Thailand. Art, music, theatre, film, design and cultural/educational events take place in its exhibition and performance spaces. The centre includes cafes, commercial art galleries, bookshops, craft shops, and an art library.
It’s established since 2008 by collaboration of the civil society, art and culture networks and supported by government. I was lucky enough to catch the art expo by many online artists, and a special exhibition by a Thailand famous artist.
I want to travel to Hong Kong to visit more galleries!

A building as beautiful as the art it holds.
The Bangkok Art And Culture Center is a huge multi level gallery and exhibition space across the road from the MBK center, accessible from siam & national stadium BTS stations.
The center is free to enter and fully air conditioned, so it’s a good place to cool down and recharge yourself. It has various fixed exhibitions and things that change seasonally, when I went there was exhibitions about tourism, nature & Thailand’s diplomatic relations with the United States.
The lower floors have smaller galleries and small cafes, shops and craft stalls around the escalator banks, you can get everything from sushi to ice cream and offers quite a nice variety of independent options compared to the streets outside.
The main galleries are on the upper levels 7-9, and this is where you can really feel the scale of the building - it is beauifully constructed and the building itself becomes an art exhibit. I was really impressed by the curves of the building, and the walkway snaking around a big open atrium. Looking down you can see all the floors and the windows on the upper levels have great views of central Bangkok.
Worth a visit for art, coffee and air conditioning!

You can find library, coffee shop, and several spots that you can buy unique souvenirs here, especially on the lower ground. It's also quite good to visit around 11-12 AM since outside will be super hot at this time.
