Art, history, culture, tradition, and entertainment: the Viareggio Carnival will return from February 8 to March 4, 2025.

The Viareggio Carnival Parade, also known as the Masquerade Parade, will parade along the seafront and end on March 4, 2025, with the traditional Best Float Award Ceremony and an unmissable fireworks display.

You'll also have endless fun in the community filled with outdoor parties. You can dance freely with masks and enjoy typical dishes of the Viareggio tradition. That's not all: the city's historic buildings will host art exhibitions that tell the story and tradition of the carnival. Sporting events, guided tours, and fireworks displays will also be held to conclude this extraordinary event known worldwide.

The 2025 Carnival will open on February 8. The traditional three-gun salute will kick off the first parade of allegorical floats, which are extraordinary works by Viareggio artists. The parade is preceded by the opening ceremony and ends with the long-awaited flag-raising moment.
