| Do you have any photos that look foreign at first glance? Czech, is an ancient, mysterious, full of stories and fairy-tale kingdom, a place you will fall in love with once you go.
Here are centuries-old castles, medieval bricks and tiles, and the romantic old bridge on the Danube, all the imaginations about Europe are here.
Nietzsche said: 'When I want to express music with a word, I find Vienna; and when I want to express mystery with a word, I only think of Prague.' Every step of the scenery seems to be full of exploration and surprise.

6⃣️Municipal Library of Prague, check in the "bottomless hole" (Picture 7)~
A step into the past.
The Charles bridge is an exciting step back into the past. I believe it’s not quite medieval but it’s there or there abouts.
Adorned in sculptures of saints the bridge sits over the Vlatava river which itself is a spectacular site to see.
The historic gateways just seem so at place in a Central European city like Prague.
On the edges of the gates you’ll find coffee shops and restaurants alike.
Along the bridge there are many artists and performers, and if you are lucky enough space for a selfie or two. #prague #charlesbridge #czechia #history
Prague's Oldest Bridge
Charles Bridge is a medieval stone arch bridge that crosses the Vltava river, in the past, it was the only means of crossing and the most important connection between Prague Castle and the city's Old Town until 1841.
The bridge is 516 meters long and 9.5 meters wide, 13 meters high, it was built between 1357 and 1402 under the auspices of King Charles IV. It was built as a bow bridge with 16 arches and is protected by three bridge towers.
From 1683 to 1928, 30 statues of saints were carved to decorate the bridge. Beginning in 1965, all the statues have been systematically replaced by replicas, and the originals have been exhibited in the Lapidarium of the National Museum.
You can take trams 1, 2, 17, 18 , 25 and 93 to Karlovy lazne stop and walk around 240 meters 3 minutes.

Finest and most beautiful city in Europe
Prague is the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic. It is home to a number of well-known cultural attractions, many of which survived the violence and destruction of 20th-century Europe. Main attractions include Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with the Prague astronomical clock and the Jewish Quarter. Since 1992, the historic center of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
Charles Bridge is a medieval stone arch bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague. Its construction started in 1357 under the auspices of King Charles IV, and finished in the early 15th century. The bridge replaced the old Judith Bridge built 1158–1172 that had been badly damaged by a flood in 1342. This new bridge was originally called Stone Bridge but has been referred to as "Charles Bridge" since 1870. We spent 3 lovely days here as part of our round the world trip and was able to cover all the main attractions.
Prague - must visit places Part 1
🌉 Charles Bridge (📍Karlüv most, 110 00 Praha I, Czechia) - a iconic landmark of Prague. Charles bridge is a stone bridge which links the old town to the new. It is the most magical spot for sunrise. Top tip: be aware there are many people who go there for sunrise so it can become quite packed.
🕰️ Prague Astronomical Clock (📍Staromestské nám. 1,110 00 Josefov, czechia) - one of the most iconic landmarks of Prague. Fun facts:
1. It is the third oldest astronomical clock in the world.
2. It is the oldest astronomical clock still operating.
3. The clock dates as far back as 1410.
4. The background represents the sky above the Czech Republic.
5. The clock displays Babylonian time, German time, Old Bohemian time and Sidereal time, as well as the moons phases and the sun’s journey across the constellations of the zodiac.
⛪️ Church of Our Lady before Týn (📍Staromestské nám., 110 00 stare ésto, Czechia) - the two towers of the church are very ornate and stand at an incredible 80m tall. It makes for a beautiful backdrop.

One Beautiful Day in Prague!
Prague, capital city of the Czech Republic, is bisected by the Vltava River. Nicknamed “the City of a Hundred Spires,” it's known for its Old Town Square, the heart of its historic core, with colorful baroque buildings, Gothic churches and the medieval Astronomical Clock, which gives an animated hourly show. Completed in 1402, pedestrian Charles Bridge is lined with statues of Catholic saints.
1. Prague is a 3D architecture textbook. Romanesque chapels and cellars, Gothic cathedrals, Baroque palaces and gardens, worldly Art Nouveau buildings, and a lot more!

So beautiful against the old town backdrop
The Czech Republic’s capital is full of amazing sights of great value. But Charles Bridge definitely belongs among the TOP 5 most amazing ones. Not only is this medieval building one of the most famous bridges in the world, but it is also inseparably connected to the most glamorous era of Prague and – last but not least – it just might be the most beautiful bridge in Europe. And we are not exaggerating at all…
Charles Bridge is 516 meters long, 9.5 meters wide, 13 meters high, and stands on 15 pillars. It’s also the part of the so-called Royal Route.
The place offers a very beautiful view that we kept coming back during our stay here.

A short and sweet day in Prague
Prague, a beautiful and compact city that is easy to explore and love! There’s literally something for everyone here - Beer lover? Pastry addict? Museum enthusiast? History buff? Architecture admirer? You name it, Prague has got you covered. Must see includes the Charles Bridge, the Prague Castle and the Astronomical Clock. Don’t forget to try the trdelník, the traditional chimney cake that’s dotted all over the city. For something less traditional but equally tasty, I’d highly recommend checking out the cakes at Cukrář Skála (cover picture). Last but definitely not least, there’s the Czech beer. There’s plenty of traditional “monastery” breweries to more modern microbrewery to choose from!

Winter vacations can be a challenge: you have to decide on the trade-off between style and being sufficiently warm (really hard to have both), your sufficiently warm outfits have to fit into your suitcase and because you don’t to make the most of your time in a new country, you have to be prepared for early morning and long days in spite of the blistering cold.
Fortunately, November is a kind month for winter travel. We did carry around an extra coat much to my annoyance because I typically insist on touring light. But it wasn’t so bad.
Prague! It’s everything you imagine it to be and exactly as depicted in your Instagram feed. This, as many of you know, is a rarity because filters and good angles are largely to credit for awesome vacation pics! Prague was backdrop after backdrop for the avid poser and all-round photography fanatic. The city is rather compact so commuting is easy and short. One in the center, you’re a couple of blocks or tram stops away from the next landmark and the streets are filled with nibbles like grilled sausage and doughnut cones to keep you entertained as you marvel at its spectacular Gothic and Renaissance architectural gems.
Beer-batter pork with mash and hearty stews can be enjoyed all around town and pubs seemed to be busy around the clock. Give you feet a reboot by stopping for coffee and cake (and maybe charge your camera?) at one of the many cafes in Old Town. We had afternoon tea and lunch at Ginger & Fred in the Dancing House building and some fine dining options also close to the city center, which cost a fraction of what you’d pay in bigger cities.

I walked five times in Prague on the Charles Bridge
, and you didn't read it wrong. When I came to Prague, I didnt dare to say that I had been to Prague without going through the Charles Bridge for a few times!
The Charles Bridge is the only way for the Czech kings to crown the parade. It is also a must-see for tourists to visit Prague. From the morning to the evening, there are pedestrians on the bridge. Some of the scenic bridges are also locals who are selling or setting up stalls on the bridge. These are more in the afternoon, and after a few trips I found that there is a uncle who feeds the pigeons every day. Here, it may be that this way to make some change.
There are 30 statues of the saints on the Charles Bridge, each with a touching story. However, now, some of the statue's heads have become the landing area for the seagulls, so it is inadvertently dyed white... I like to walk the Charles Bridge in two hours, when the sun sets, this time is not only the scenery on the bridge. Beautiful, the Prague Castle in the distance is also very comfortable against the backdrop of the setting sun. The other time is evening, the visitors will be slightly less, and the dark lights on both sides of the bridge will give you a sense of tranquility that is different from the daytime.
Of course, there is also a way to board the bridge at both ends of the bridge, and you can look around 360 degrees not only the Charles Bridge, but also the old town of Prague.
At 8:30 in the morning, there are no tourists along the river. After all, the tour group has not yet appeared. The weather is still very strong. Looking at the old castle opposite, the outline is so clear, the colored red tile houses are set against the blue sky. It is the look of a fairy tale. The Charles Bridge is the first bridge built by the Prague people on the Vltava River and has a history of 650 years. The Charles Bridge was built in 1357 and completed in 1400, spanning the Vltava River in Prague. The bridge was built in accordance with the life of King Charles IV of the Czech Republic, hence the name Charles Bridge. Charles Bridge is based on the Roman Angel Bridge and is a perfect combination of Gothic bridge art and Baroque sculpture art. At the entrance of one end of the bridge stands the statue of Charles IV, with Gothic gates with baroque reliefs on either side. There are 30 statues on the stone railings on both sides of the bridge. They are Catholic saints and protectors. They are shaped like goddesses, samurai, human face and animal face. The Legion Bridge next to the Charles Bridge, under the bridge is a small island of rivers, which is the location of the wedding photos of Jay Chou, almost no tourists will go down the bridge, more local residents in this morning exercise or picnic party.
Two times to the Charles Bridge, they were all dumped by the same scenery: the Prague Castle and the red-top building under the clear sky and the Vltava River shine!
There is a saying in the folks that it is only after passing the Charles Bridge 9 times that it has been to Prague! In order to find the best position, I dont know how many times I went back and forth. I found that the scenery I saw on the Charles Bridge was really different!
There are 30 statues of the saints on the Charles Bridge, all from the masterpieces of the Baroque masters of the Czech Republic from the 17th to the 18th century. They are called European Open Baroque Statue Gallery by Europeans. The most famous is the 8th statue of St. John on the right side of the bridge. When passing through his statue, people will touch the relief of St. John on the pier and pray for themselves.
There is a bridge in the river, there is a story in the bridge, and the Charles Bridge is such a bridge full of stories...
1934, lying quietly in Vienna Kafka in the suburban sanatorium asked his friends to write down the last sentence of his life: "My life and inspiration are all from the great Charles Bridge."
The famous Czech thinker Michal Said: "Only by reading Kafka's work, you will understand the Jewish complex of the Charles Bridge. There is a strong nostalgia in the lines."
This is the origin of the Charles Bridge, and finally Ten years after Kafka died, he moved the Czechs. Today's Czechs say: "Milan Kundera has no country, and Kafka has not only the motherland but also the people."

Listening to The Prodigy, checking in at Prague, Czech Republic
Time: 2023/12/7 20:00
Venue: Sportovní hala FORTUNA
The Prodigy's tour is underway, and this time it's in Prague, Czech Republic. Speaking of Prague, one cannot help but mention the wishing well. But apart from the wishing well, do you know any other sights in Prague?
1. Old Town Square
The Old Town Square in Prague was established about 900 years ago and is a well-known square in the history of Prague, located between Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge. It is also the heart of the entire city, bustling with crowds especially in the summer.
2. Prague Castle
Prague Castle is actually a large area of buildings, forming a massive architectural complex that includes churches, palaces, and courtyards, covering an area equivalent to about 7 football fields. It holds the Guinness World Record for the largest ancient castle.
3. Charles Bridge
This is a Gothic stone bridge modeled after the Roman Ponte Sant'Angelo, and it has been the traditional route for the coronation processions of kings. In 1992, Charles Bridge was included in the World Heritage List. Initially, it was simply named 'Stone Bridge'. It is said that egg yolks were mixed into the mortar to strengthen the structure.
Join us on December 7th for a heart-thumping rock music journey in the heart of Prague, Czech Republic~
Charles Bridge
#europetrip Absolutely beautiful and a must walk-visit when in Prague. Even if it’s very crowded, it’s really worthy. Eventually, you can go at non-touristic hours and it would be better! The view in both sides of the bridge, is really stunning. There are also few artists selling their art on there. It’s a great way to support local artists and to get a nice memory of the trip! We got some very nice postals/paintings on there, and it was possible to pay by card.
Wouldn’t get bored to pass by the bride once and again!
Three Central European Countries
First stop: Prague
The Old Town has a nice feel, and the clock tower is very distinctive. Charles Bridge left me with a beautiful yet melancholic impression, probably because of winter. St. Vitus Cathedral is my favorite Gothic style, with its imposing presence. Climbing to the top of the tower, you can overlook the whole of Prague. St. Nicholas Church is small and beautiful in Baroque style, with a delicate color like a cream cake. The Jewish synagogue is small, decorated mainly with golden patterns, and next to it is Kafka's statue. Remembering his 'Metamorphosis' is both shocking and sad. Prague overall feels beautiful but seems to lack a bit of liveliness.
Second stop: Český Krumlov
Still in a beautiful style, looking down from the windows of the castle is like a painting.
The pork knuckle in the cellar restaurant is very good, cheap and delicious.
Third stop: Salzburg
With the backdrop of the Alps' snow-capped mountains, hiking up to the castle offers a 360-degree beauty. The city streets are pretty, and the small restaurant served a very nice lunch. It's nice to have a coffee and pass the time. Walking on the Love Lock Bridge is a pity we didn't bring a lock. The church didn't leave a strong impression.
The next day, we took three bus transfers to Hallstatt, touted as Europe's most beautiful town. It is indeed beautiful, with snow-capped mountains, lakes, and scattered pretty houses, but there were a bit too many tourists.
Fourth stop: Vienna
A high-end, classy big city. The buildings in the city center are exquisite and grand. The Gothic St. Stephen's Cathedral captures the heart at first sight, as does the Gothic City Hall, the Greek-style Parliament Building, the Baroque Opera House, Karlskirche, etc. The museums were very rewarding, especially the Klimt's works at the Belvedere Palace. The exquisite rooms in the Albertina Museum, coffee and cake in the popular café in the Art History Museum, the architecture is indescribably beautiful, and the prices are surprisingly similar to other cafés. Also visited the Sisi Museum and the Treasury in the Hofburg Palace, the library, etc. Schönbrunn Palace was rather average. In the evening, attended a concert in the Golden Hall. In short, Vienna is a visual feast.
Additionally, the apartment on this trip was very cost-effective, allowing us to cook what we like. The Chinese restaurant downstairs also tasted good.
Fifth stop: Budapest
The city is romantic and charming because of the Danube River. Pest on the left, Buda on the right. Pest's Gothic Parliament Building is majestic, and the New Renaissance-style St. Stephen's Basilica is consistently grand and spectacular. The shopping street is quite lively. Buda's castle is a bit old. Visited the National Gallery inside, which has a rich collection. Drinking floral tea at sunset in Fisherman's Bastion, watching the sun set on the Parliament Building opposite until the lights come on, feels really good. Walked back and forth across the Danube's three bridges: Chain Bridge, Green Bridge, and White Bridge. Took a dip in the thermal bath, checked in at the New York Café, enjoyed coffee and lunch inside, listened to a performance, perfect!

The City of Literature—The Charm of Prague
Prague was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992. It is a famous city of literature in Europe. Among all the European cities I have visited, Prague is the best for sightseeing. Let's see how famous people comment on Prague. Goethe said that Prague is the most beautiful city in Europe. Kafka said that Prague is unshakeable. Nietzsche said that when I want to express mystery in a word, I only think of Prague. Mozart said that the best time of life is spent in Prague. This is a city that will deeply attract you once you come. The mother river of Prague - the Vltava River divides the ancient city into three parts: the castle area, the downstream valley, and the old city area. Walking into the medieval town, time seems to have stopped hundreds of years ago. White-walled and red-tiled houses, stone-paved alleys can be seen everywhere, but it is easy to get lost without navigation.
The overall impression of the city's architecture is that the top of the building is particularly rich in changes and colorful. There are many buildings from various historical periods and styles, especially Baroque and Gothic. I visited the main attractions such as the Old Town Square in Prague, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, and then took a taxi to visit the largest cemetery in Prague in the suburbs. Just after Halloween, there are various flowers, candles, pine cones, and decorations in the cemetery. With the golden leaves in late autumn, it is quiet and beautiful. I saw some people put flowers under some trees. I asked forward and found out that their relatives' ashes were buried under the trees. It was tree burial.
Prague Castle
The night view near the Charles Bridge in Prague is really good for shooting
Prague is really a place full of Bohemian colors.
As night falls, it's like a charming symphony. In this dreamy ancient city, the buildings under the night show more historical vicissitudes. The warm yellow street lights are not very bright, but the river can still capture these brilliant points. With the breeze, looking at the majestic castle, how can I tell you about this poetic and dreamy romance. 🌙
Really appreciate walking over it.

As the sun painted the sky with hues of pink and gold, my visit to Charles Bridge in Prague unfolded like a dream. The early morning serenity embraced the cobblestone pathways, adorned with ancient statues whispering tales of history.
The Vltava River mirrored the city's charm, and as I strolled across the bridge, the Gothic towers of Prague Castle stood proudly in the distance. The air carried a mystique, resonating with the footsteps of countless wanderers before me.
With the tranquil ambiance, the bridge transformed into a timeless passage connecting past and present. Every moment etched itself into the morning light, creating a profound connection between the beauty of the bridge and the awe it inspired within me.
In 2024, I wish to visit Vietnam.
Charles Bridge - Prague, Czech Republic
Charles Bridge is an iconic non-vehicular bridge located in the heart of Prague, Czech Republic. It’s one of the most visited attraction in the city, it offers a captivating blend of stunning architecture, rich history & awesome views.
Charles Bridge was built during the 14th century. It stretches across the Vltava River, connecting Old Town & Lesser Town.
The bridge is a masterpiece of gothic architecture, and has a series of 30 statues depicting various saints & religious figures. Nowadays, Charles Bridge also boasts a lively atmosphere as it’s often filled with musicians, artists & street vendors.
I would recommend visiting Charles Bridge early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid most of the crowds. But no matter what time you visit, pay attention to your personal belongings, as this is a hot spot for pickpockets.

Prague Love / the World's Most Beautiful Fifty Cities
Charles Bridge
One of the most spectacular bridges in the world, and one of the oldest still in use in Europe, the bridge spans the Vltava River connecting the new town and the old town, and is the most famous symbol of Prague. Since its construction from 1357 to 1402, Karluvmost (its Czech name) has witnessed royal processions, battles, bear executions (you can still see the spikes today), and even played a strange role in Hollywood blockbusters. Its biggest feature? The bridge is decorated with 30 statues representing saints.
This famous bridge is a must-visit spot for any romantic trip to Prague. At dusk, you can stroll along the cobblestone pedestrian path, with streetlights twinkling and the statues on the bridge - as well as the distant towers - standing out particularly vividly against the backdrop of the setting sun.
Enjoy your check-in in Prague.
Prague is beautiful from every angle, with a perfect balance of salty and sweet! I hope to come back to this beautiful city again in the summer, and I hope that budget airlines and Ctrip will continue to be helpful! This time, I enjoyed my stay at a hotel that cost only 450 yuan while buying a €11 plane ticket. Charles Bridge.
Open-air Baroque Statue Museum - Charles Bridge
Open-air Baroque Statue Museum - Charles Bridge
Charles Bridge is the first bridge built by the people of Prague over the Vltava River, with a history of 650 years. With its long history and architectural art, Charles Bridge has become one of the most famous landmarks in Prague. At different times, people can have different feelings at Charles Bridge, and it is also a must-pass road connecting the Castle District and the Old Town District.
Charlie Bridge is the oldest and longest bridge in Europe. There are 30 statues of saints on the bridge, with the originals preserved in a museum and most replaced with replicas. It is said that if you touch the stone statues with your heart, it will bring you a lifetime of happiness. Some parts of a bronze statue on the bridge have been polished by tourists' touches. The 8th statue on the right side of the bridge, Saint John, is the guardian of Charlie Bridge.
In the middle of the fence is a golden cross marking the spot where St. John was thrown off the bridge years ago.
On the Vltava River, there are many boats available for various time and route options.
Charlie Bridge has a tower similar to a gunpowder tower in the direction close to the old town area, which is also the gate tower of the bridge. You can choose to climb up, and the cost is 100 kroner per person. However, the stairs of the tower are very difficult to walk, so it is recommended to assess your own ability and not sprain your foot. During the day, there are basically people on the Charlie Bridge, and there is no time to visit properly. It is recommended that you come in the morning when there are fewer people.
After experiencing hundreds of years of wind and rain, the Charles Bridge remains intact. In order to protect this bridge, all vehicles are now prohibited from passing on the bridge, and it is only open for pedestrians to walk and visit.
