Chi Lin Nunnery: Winter Flower Viewing
The four seasons in Hong Kong are not distinct, which allows people to experience the fun of enjoying flowers in winter.
Compared to the lotus ponds in Suzhou and Hangzhou that give a feeling of "lotus leaves reaching the sky and endless green", the lotus pond at Chi Lin Nunnery is small and elegant. It is designed based on the seven treasures pond and eight meritorious waters of the Pure Land of Amitabha Buddha as shown in the "Pure Land Sutra Transformation Picture".
