Fangyan Scenic Area is located about 20 kilometers east of Yongkang, including four core Attraction: Fangyan (Nanyan), Shiguliao, Wufeng, and Lingyan. In addition to the beautiful Danxia landform landscape, Fangyan is also a sacred place for many local people to pray and make wishes. What is special is that the person worshipped here is not the Bodhisattva, but Hu Ze, a clean official in the Song Dynasty who benefited the area. The Hu Gong Temple on the top of Fangyan Mountain is always incense. It takes about 1-2 days to visit the entire Attraction. Each sub- Attraction sells tickets separately, and there are Complimentary shuttle buses to and from. Visitors can arrange their itinerary according to their preferences. Fangyan, Nanyan and Wufeng are not far apart and can be reached on foot. Among the several sub- Attraction, Fangyan is undoubtedly the focus of the tour. It is included in the same ticket with the neighboring Nanyan and is usually visited together. After visiting Fangyan, you can walk to Wufeng Academy, the birthplace of the Yongkang School of the Southern Song Dynasty. Shiguliao is a film and television base, which can be walked from Nanyan. If you don't want to rush, you can arrange it on the second day. On a large stone tablet at the entrance of Fangyan, there is a gilded character "He Ling" written by Emperor Gaozong of Song for Hu Gong. It takes about 30 minutes to walk from here to the Hu Gong Temple on the top of the mountain. On the way up the mountain, you will pass Luohan Cave, Hupao Spring, Baibujun, Feiqiao Plank Road and other scenic spots. Looking around along the way, you can appreciate the steep mountain with layers of folds on Fangyan, and you can also see the temple on the top of the mountain and the winding steps on the rock wall from a distance, which are all representative landscapes of Fangyan. Continue to go up, pass the gatehouse engraved with the words "Tianmen" and you will reach Tianjie. Many vendors along the street sell things like paper candles, and the prices may be slightly expensive. Not far behind the "Thousand People Pit" stele pavilion at the end of Tianjie is Guangci Temple, and next to it is the famous Hu Gong Temple. This is the only surviving ancient building in the Attraction. There are exquisite carvings on the beams, eaves and columns, and many tourists pray here every day. Return to the vicinity of Tianmen by the original route, and there is a fork in the road leading to Nanyan Attraction. This is the newly developed Hu Gong Cultural City. After entering the mountain gate, turn right and you can enjoy the magnificent Danxia landform mountain in the north valley. Two round peaks resemble the "World Granary" and are the iconic landscape here. The Dream Tower in the Attraction is a good place for looking far away, and the square is the performance venue for the annual temple fair. Fangyan Temple Fair has a history of thousands of years. On the 13th day of the eighth lunar month of Hu Gong's birthday and the Double Ninth Festival on the 9th day of the ninth lunar month, there will be "beating Luohan" mainly for martial arts competitions, as well as folk programs such as "color blowing and singing" and "eighteen butterflies", which are a major local event. After visiting Nanyan, you can return from Tianmen and go to the Wufeng Attraction on the west side. The Wufeng Attraction consists of five circular peaks. The ruins of Wufeng Academy is where many famous scholars such as Zhu Xi gave lectures. Now there is an "Academy and Chinese Culture Exhibition" here, which is worth seeing. Zhu Xi's handwritten cliff stone carving "Duosuitaitai" can also be vaguely seen. Shiguliao, about three kilometers south of Fangyan, is famous for being the location for filming of movies and TV series such as "The Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils" and "The Emperor of Han Dynasty". It is actually a natural Danxia landscape. If you are lucky, you may run into a crew filming here. Lingyan has relatively fewer people, and there are temples for praying. The street outside the Attraction is full of restaurants and hotels except for incense and candle shops, but the price-performance ratio and conditions are average. You can solve the problem of food and accommodation near Yongkang Bus Station, where there are many choices. Yongkang's meat and wheat cakes and tofu balls are the signature local snacks, and you must try them. & lt;/p>
