Feel the sea breeze at the southernmost tip of the Asian continent
On March 6, 2025, I bravely ventured alone to a foreign country. Although the city was small and I had prepared thoroughly, I still felt a mix of nervousness and excitement the moment I got off the plane.
The famous coconut tree that stands at a 90-degree angle is where I wanted to check in. It's located in Sentosa, Singapore, next to the Strait of Malacca. There's also the world's smallest Disneyland. The scenery is truly amazing, and this garden city is full of life.
Here's a travel guide for Sentosa, Singapore:
Pre-trip Preparation
Flights and Hotels: Book round-trip flights and a hotel on or around Sentosa Island, such as the Festive Hotel or Hard Rock Hotel.
Tickets: Purchase attraction tickets in advance from the official website or travel platforms, such as Universal Studios Singapore and S.E.A. Aquarium.
Other Items: Prepare comfortable clothing, sunscreen, sunglasses, swimwear, a power bank, etc.
Transportation Guide
Getting to the Island: You can choose to walk, take the monorail, take a taxi, or take the cable car. Walking takes about 10–15 mins. For the monorail, transfer to the island's small train at HarbourFront Station or VivoCity (Level 3). Taxis require an additional SGD 2–6 island entry fee. The cable car departs from VivoCity (Level 2) and costs about SGD 18.
