KL🇲🇾 to Singapore 🇸🇬 in 24 Hours: A Budget-Friendly Sprint
Decided to YOLO and hopped on an overnight bus from TBS, KL to Singapore. Slept through JB customs, then woke up dramatically at Tuas checkpoint like a confused border-crossing zombie. 🧟♂️
Dropped off at Golden Mile Tower and half-sleepwalked to Nicoll Highway MRT.
First stop: ✈️ Changi Airport — not to fly, just to vibe at Jewel and chase the famous indoor waterfall like every other tourist. 💧✨
Had a light breakfast at the airport like a fancy nomad, then headed to Terminal 2’s Wonderfall — because one waterfall per trip clearly isn’t enough.
MRT-ed to Raffles Place and went up to CapitaSpring’s Sky Garden (free entry, stunning views, 10/10 recommend for broke-but-adventurous folks). 🌇
Walked to Merlion Park via Exit H and got distracted by an uncle selling ice cream potong at a random park. Obviously bought one. No regrets. 🍦🇸🇬
Afternoon plans: MRT to Bugis, wandered around Haji Lane and Bugis Street, grabbed the famous hot choc (yes, it lives up to the hype), and had lunch at Zam Zam — the briyani was either amazing or I was just very hungry. 🍛
Prayed at Masjid Sultan, and gave my feet a well-earned break. 🕌
Evening stroll: MRT to Bras Basah, explored CHIJMES and Fort Canning Park. Took so many photos, my phone almost filed for retirement. 📸📱
Final stop: Marina Bay Sands and a walk to Supertree Grove — felt like stepping into a sci-fi movie, just with sore legs and a lighter wallet. 🌌🌳
Then back to Golden Mile Tower for another overnight bus… because sleep is a suggestion, not a guarantee. 😴💼
💸 Total damage: ~RM300 for transport, food & vibes
👣 Total steps: Somewhere around 20,000
😂 Would I do it again? Absolutely.
⚠️ TRAVEL TIP: Fill in your SG Arrival Card via MyICA at least 3 days before entering Singapore! Don’t say I didn’t warn you. 📝✅
