Recently visited the Gua Tempurung with 4 local friends, there are 4 types of package tour, we went for the ▶Dry Tour 2, admission fee for Malaysian is RM 12 (adult), RM 6 ( children 4-12 years old). Non-Malaysian is different rates. Admission ticket can be perchase right on the spot. Inside the cave was quite dark, lit by colourful lights and spotlights, showcasing the beauty of the Stalactites and Stalagmites. Be noted there is lots of stair climbing along the way. i will give a six star if i can !! there are many cave in perak but this is a definite best cave structure. it is magnificent and majestic. on top of that it have a dry tour which mean anyone can just come in without advance planning and suitable for average fit person. and lastly it is not affected by rainy weather. but do take note it is quite humid and stuffy except for the wind tunnel at one portions. #mytripvlog #2023travelwish #tripblazers

This is Gua Tempurung..it is a cave..you can either enjoy a casual exploration or and adventure exploring..you chose your own level..but as for both exploration..you still need stamina and fit to climb the stairs to reach platform 5 that is top of the world level.. Gua Tempurung is located at Ipoh! Not sure if y'all know that Ipoh is not only famous for the food but caves as well! This is one of my favorite caves in Ipoh and is one of the “must-go” places when my friends visit Ipoh. There are different activities and trails based on your fitness level, please bring extra clothes if you are planning to be adventurous as you will get wet! Be reassured that there will be a tour guide to guide you along. For those with kids or family can choose the easy path, but just take note that the stairs can be quite slippery, make sure to wear a good pair of shoes :) It’s really a beautiful place and it’s windy! worth a visit!

If you are fit and physically strong, this is a great place to explore incredible nature with a workout. Crazy climb up and down. There are many steep stairs and it is not recommended for anyone with poor fitness and heart condition. You can choose to have a dry tour which covers two parts of the cave. Please wear sport shoes and not slippers, and long trousers. The 4 hour tour is a wet tour. You can just walk at your own leisure until platform 5. You have to going up and down stairs to reach the platform.Honestly, it's so tiring until i feel my knee shaking and my heart beating heavily.You can just stop few minutes and enjoy the scenery inside there.So mind blowing! At first I wanted to turn back, but since this is my first caving,i don't want to miss the experience. Overall, it's worth and really a unique experience.We enjoyed the journey.We can learn about stalagmite and stalactite.Owh ya,if you choose the wet tour,you have to crawl in the river at the lower part of the cave.So,don't forget to bring water and wear proper attire. Gua Tempurung, located 25km south of Ipoh near Gopeng, is probably the largest cave in Peninsula Malaysia and has plenty to attract the serious caving enthusiast, the adventure seeker or just the casual visitor. A lot of work went into creating this massive cave. First of all this entire area, known as the Kinta Valley, needed to be covered by sea. Billions of microscopic marine organisms had to die and fall to the ocean floor where their tiny shells were compressed into limestone. #springitinerary While it was China's National Day 🇨🇳 and just a regular weekend abroad, we took the chance to go on an exciting little getaway — to Gua Tempurung in Perak, Malaysia! 😍 This natural limestone cave is said to have formed as early as 8000 BC! Inside, it’s filled with stunning stalactites, marble, stalagmites, and all kinds of fascinating rock formations. 📍 Our day started bright and early — we drove from KL and stopped by Bidor Market for breakfast. It was alright… but the market itself was impressively clean! Around 10AM, we finally arrived at Gua Tempurung. We bought the GT (Grand Tour - Dry) ticket, which only allows stair access — no water or crawling through tight spots. The cave is huge, and the stairs are many… and steep! 😅 Some of the iron staircases were slippery due to moisture, so be extra careful. I used the default camera on my iPhone 13 Pro Max for photos — and yes, the steps are often narrow and tall, not the best for anyone with a fear of heights. Since it’s enclosed, it does get a bit stuffy inside, and climbing those stairs was quite the workout. But overall? Totally worth it! 🙌 ✨ What I regret: Not doing the full cave exploration — the rock climbing, river trekking, and belly-crawling parts sound amazing (and a little wild!). If you go, definitely join the wet adventure tours! A place that worth a visit! It was cooling inside the cave but as you climb the stairs you tend to sweat and it will be kinda stuffy. So make sure to bring along a portable fan. It's definitely not a place for weak knees people as there are a lot of stairs to climb if you are taking the route 1, which is claimed to be suitable to the youngs and olds. Had a great team building session at Gua Tempurung. The drive towards this cave was so relaxing and excited. Being fist timer all of us were thrilled and a bit anxious to proceed with the cave tracking. Overall, the journey was challenging and tested our physically abilities. Will recommend to go with level 3 to test your endurance.
