🔥Gold-inlaid copper Boshan furnace
👉In 1968, incense burners were unearthed from the tomb of Liu Sheng, King Jing of Zhongshan, in Lingshan, Mancheng County. Total height 26 cm. The entire body is decorated with gold threads and gold sheets to create stretching cloud patterns. The upper part of the furnace plate and the furnace cover are cast to resemble undulating mountains.
👉The furnace cover is perforated due to the mountain shape, creating a lifelike mountain scenery, with mythical beasts appearing, tigers and leopards running, nimble little monkeys squatting on the top of the mountain peaks, or riding on the backs of beasts to play, and hunters patrolling the mountains with bows and arrows. The stove handle is carved into the shape of three dragons emerging from water, with the dragon heads supporting the stove plate. It features exquisite craftsmanship and gorgeous decoration.
👉Boshan comes from the fairy mountain on the sea in Taoist legend. There are immortals living there, and the mountain is filled with elixirs of immortality and rare birds and animals. It is the fairyland that people yearn for. The Boshan furnace is a bronze ware used as an incense burner and fumigation burner. When the incense is lit, the smoke rises through the gaps in the copper furnace, as if creating an atmosphere of fairyland surrounded by auspicious clouds, making people feel as if they are in a dreamlike fairyland. It reflects the belief system of the Han people and their yearning for immortality and fairyland.

🔥Liu Sheng's Jade Cloth
Jade suits are special burial clothes for emperors, princes and nobles of the Han Dynasty. They are divided into gold-thread jade suits, silver-thread jade suits and copper-thread jade suits according to their levels. The Liu Sheng jade suit is 1.88 meters long, with an obese body and a bulging belly. The face cover has images of eyes, nose and mouth carved on it. Liu Sheng's jade suit is made of 2,498 jade pieces and 1,100 grams of gold thread. Jade pieces are generally rectangular or square in shape, with a few being triangular, trapezoidal and polygonal. The smallest jade piece is only the size of an adult's thumb. The surface of the jade piece is polished, with holes punched at the four corners and woven with gold threads. The gold wire is finely crafted, some of which are made of 12 gold wires with a diameter of only 0.08 mm, which are both soft and strong. The gold-thread jade suit unearthed from the Mancheng Han Tomb is the earliest and best-preserved gold-thread jade suit discovered in my country's archaeological excavations.
