Jin Lian Kee Hokkien Noodle Restaurant
#AprilGoodDestinations2025
Jin Lian Ji: Located in the bustling Petaling Street Chinatown, this is also a favorite shop of Teresa Teng. The interior of the shop is decorated in traditional Chinese style. The must-order Hokkien noodles, rat noodles, the must-drink silk stocking milk tea and daily sweet soup.
Black and spicy Fujian noodles: The thick noodles are quite chewy. The main ingredient is bamboo-pressed thick yellow noodles, which is a festive noodle dish from Anxi, Fujian, China. The dish was modified to suit the Nanyang climate and the tastes of customers from different origins. Dark soy sauce, lard and other ingredients were boldly added to enhance the flavor and seasoning. The noodle soup was simmered and "fried" into a thick, semi-wet, black and fragrant noodle, which was then paired with strong Nanyang-style seasonings to create the original version of today's Fujian noodles.
Claypot Rat Noodles: It gets its name because the noodles look like a rat’s tail. It is similar to the cooking method of Wumianmian, but has a different and delicious taste.
Rich silk stocking milk tea: rich tea flavor! It's smooth and delicious. I ordered it sugar-free, but it still tastes a little sweet.
The price may be a bit high for Malaysia, but overall it is still a good restaurant worth visiting.
