The house is small but has historical significance. It’s incredible to imagine young Columbus growing up here, perhaps dreaming of the vast oceans he would later cross. Offering a glimpse into the early life of one of history's most iconic explorers. While the building itself has been rebuilt on the original site, the exhibits inside are unpretentious but informative, including maps, documents, and artifacts that provide context for Columbus’ life and his times. Genoa is worth a visit for anyone with a rich historical heritage.

It was a trip to Genoa, Italy. We started our day at Piazza De Ferrari, the bustling heart of Genoa. The majestic fountain in the center is the perfect spot for photos, surrounded by beautiful palaces. From here, we wandered down Via Garibaldi, a UNESCO World Heritage street lined with Renaissance palaces. It was once an administrative region of the Roman Empire. After the fall of the Roman Empire, it fell under Byzantine rule and was later occupied by the Lombards and Franks. From the 12th to the 16th century, it gradually prospered thanks to the Crusades and established an independent and powerful maritime republic. Although there are subways and buses, it is still more interesting to travel and adventure on foot, walking up the mountains, down the water and along the coast. From the Sunday flea market in Piazza Ferrari to the Red Palace, from the church to the fountain, I followed the example of the great adventurer Christopher Columbus, whose hometown was Genoa.

Basilica Ell’ Annunziata Genova is located in Genoa, Italy. It is a 17th-century Baroque-style church. The entrance is shaped like a Roman column-style temple and its history can be traced back to 1867. The outside is run-down and dilapidated but the inside is quite attractive, and the murals on the ceiling are stunning. The church was built in 1520 and then remodeled to its current appearance between 1591 and 1625. The interior is in Baroque style, with gorgeous Venetian stucco, golden walls and ceiling paintings, and inlaid marble decorations. The unpopular Italian city of Genoa has some Hong Kong style, especially the red mountain tram (Granarolo cablecar), which reminds people of the mountain cable car in Hong Kong. The mountain tram station is a ten-minute walk from Genoa Central Station. There is a tram every 40 minutes, and it takes 13 minutes to reach the top of the mountain station. You can choose to take the tram up the mountain in 13 minutes and walk down the mountain in 20 minutes. The Christopher Columbus House in Genoa, Italy, is an 18th-century reconstruction of the house in which Christopher Columbus grew up. According to historian Marcello Staglieno, the original house was most likely destroyed in the French Bombardment of Genoa in 1684. It was rebuilt in the early 18th century on the basis of the original ruins. The rebuilt structure had a height of five stories. However, the upper stories were built by placing their beams on the neighboring buildings. When the neighboring buildings were demolished around 1900, as part of the construction of Via XX Settembre, the upper stories of this building were removed, and it was reduced to its current height of two stories. Currently the building operates as a museum

The freshness of the basil, blended with local olive oil and Parmigiano, made it one of the most flavorful meals I had in Italy. Paired with a slice of focaccia, another Genovese specialty, it was a simple yet unforgettable culinary experience. As the sun began to set, I wandered back towards the harbor, where the golden light reflected off the water, giving the city an almost magical glow. There was a line before the restaurant opened, so reservations are a must👀 I only ordered pesto and beer, but it came with bread! It was so delicious💚 What surprised me was that it was so delicious and only cost about 8.5€! It's so cheap! This short pasta is called trofie, and it seems to be a traditional short pasta that originated in a town called Sori near Genova. It's sold cheaply at supermarkets, so I bought pesto sauce and this trofie as souvenirs! Now that my stomach is full, it's time for sightseeing! Genova also has a surprising number of tourist spots☺️ First up is Garibaldi Street, which is registered as a World Heritage Site! Many of the mansions from that time remain, and it's a street where you'll never get bored walking around with red and white palaces! Next is the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, with its distinctive stripes✨It seems to be the oldest church in Florence. It's a popular photo spot! And Columbus's house! It is said that Columbus grew up in Genoa, and the house where he lived is one of Genoa's most famous tourist spots✨ Next is Ferrari Square! Normally there is a fountain, but on this particular day it was closed as it was a national holiday;; It is beautifully lit up at night, so please be sure to check it out✴︎ Finally, there is a galley in Porto Antico!
