Be sure to watch this if you travel to Lijiang in November and December!
I have been to Lijiang three times. Here are some must-eats, must-gos and must-sees.
Share this with those who are going to Lijiang in November or December
1⃣️The temperature difference between day and night in Lijiang is large, so you still need to wear a down jacket at night! You can buy a thick shawl when you enter the ancient city. It usually costs 35 yuan each. If there are many people, the price can be reduced to around 28 yuan. In addition, the sunlight is very scary, so be sure to bring sunscreen!
2⃣️Choose Kunming for your first destination, as the air tickets are cheap. Then take the popular train all the way to Lijiang, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and meet travel partners who hit it off on the way.
3⃣️ When you come to Lijiang, you must try wearing Yi costumes and walking in the ancient city. The streets are full of Yi girls, so don't worry about social anxiety, just enjoy shopping~
4⃣️Flower cakes are more delicious when they are freshly baked. Before buying, go in and see if there is a cake-making machine!
5⃣️Eat hot pot on the rooftop! I went to the Yuegu Tower Aerial View Travel Photography Restaurant. The photo location is great, with a panoramic view of Lijiang Ancient Town. Also, when eating the cured pork ribs hotpot, there was a photographer taking photos for free. The service was good. You can order Lijiang's special mushroom soup hotpot, cured pork ribs hotpot, yak beef, and native chicken copper pot.
6⃣️See the golden mountain in the sun! Choose a homestay on the second floor of the ancient city. You can see the golden mountain in the sun when you open the window every day. It is really healing❤️🩹. The place I stayed in was called Liangsu Internet Celebrity Travel Photography Inn, which was very close to Sifang Street and the big waterwheel. It also had a service where photographers could take photos for free, and provided free travel photography.
7⃣️Yunnan’s cross-bridge rice noodles and local chicken rice noodles yyds! In Lijiang, it’s true that any roadside rice noodle shop is fresh and delicious, and you won’t regret it. The one I went to was the Hobbit Castle Travel Photography Cross-Bridge Rice Noodles, which also has a panoramic view of Lijiang. The scenery is great, and there is a Hobbit Hut 🛖 on the first floor where you can check in. Cross-bridge rice noodles are made with pork ribs and chicken soup, which is very fresh and nutritious.
8⃣️You can basically visit Lijiang Ancient Town in one day, and you can go to Lashi Lake or Jade Dragon Snow Mountain on the next day. I don't like climbing mountains so I went to Lashi Lake. Here you can ride horses and take a boat to see the lake view, and spend the day leisurely.
9⃣️Don’t pay attention to those who try to strike up a conversation with you when you visit Lijiang Ancient Town at night, they are all wine-drinking touts! Take your time to browse around and look at the wine list before deciding whether to go in. Be careful not to get ripped off.
