A fun stroll through the Paul Bocuse Market in Lyon
5 minutes walk from Part-Dieu Station in Lyon!
Paul Bocuse Market (Les Halles de Lyon)
There is a portrait of Paul Bocuse on the wall of the building opposite the market!
It is a great photo spot.
In the market, Lyon's specialties (cheese, meat products, seafood, desserts) are sold.
The point is that there are ingredients that you can't find even in Paris!
The prices are a little higher than supermarkets and other markets.
When I went on the weekend, it was very crowded!
I thought it would be better to go when it's quiet, so I stopped by on a weekday, but on the contrary, it was quiet in the afternoon, so weekends might be more fun to enjoy the atmosphere.
I thought it would be like Tsukiji, but it's less crowded than Tsukiji, so maybe it's closer to a department store basement! ?
Inside, there are places where you can enjoy oysters and light French food.
It's fun just to look, so it might be a good idea to stop by between sightseeing in Lyon.
🕰️Opening hours: 7:00-22:00 (Some stores close in the evening on weekdays!)
🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: Busy on weekends, slightly less crowded on weekdays. Air-conditioned and heated.
📍Location: 102 cours Lafayette Part-Dieu, 69003 Lyon
💰Price per person: 10€-60€
💞Reasons why we recommend it: You can enjoy ingredients that are typical of Lyon and top-notch ingredients. It's fun just to look at them!
