From there, a taxi or bus will get you to the city center in 20 minutes—a quick and budget-friendly option. ✈️ Airplane: Fly to Liuzhou Bailian Airport. A taxi or airport bus from the airport to the city center costs around CNY 30–40. 🚗 Car: Driving is a convenient option for those traveling from nearby cities. Taxis are readily available within the city. 🏨 Accommodation Recommendations: Choose accommodation near Wuxing Pedestrian Street or Yintai City for convenient access to transportation and nearby attractions. ✅ Must-See Attractions 1️⃣ Longtan Park This Monet-inspired park is a place you'll want to visit again and again. It features stunning karst landscapes and showcases the cultural heritage of southern China's ethnic minorities. Stepping into the park is like entering a dreamlike painting. 2️⃣ Water Bus Take a ride from Nanchedu Ferry Terminal to Dongdi Ferry Terminal. Along the way, you'll see Jiangbin Park, Liuzhou Confucian Temple, Panlongshan Park, Yaobu Ancient Town, and Liuzhou Industrial Museum. There's even a waterfall between the Confucian Temple and Yaobu Ancient Town—a perfect photo opportunity when the waterfall is flowing! 3️⃣ Yaobu Ancient Town I recommend visiting at night to experience the enchanting scenery. Every step reveals a new sight, a blend of Liuzhou's past and present. Immerse yourself in the city's unique charm and tranquility. 4️⃣ Liuzhou Musical Fountain The water jets illuminate the night sky with a dazzling display of colors, creating a series of captivating scenes. Show times: ⚠️ Two shows daily: 20:00–20:15 and 21:00–21:15. 5️⃣ Liuzhou Confucian Temple Nestled against Dengheng Mountain to the southeast, the temple complex comprises the Dacheng Gate, Dacheng Hall, Chongsheng Ancestral Hall, and Minglun Hall. The architecture primarily reflects the Song Dynasty style, incorporating elements of Lingnan design. 6️⃣ Liuzhou Qingyun Minsheng Market For an authentic local experience, visit the Liuzhou Qingyun Market. This bustling morning market offers a glimpse into everyday life and a chance to discover delicious and affordable local treats. 7️⃣ Ma'anshan One of the highest peaks in Liuzhou, Ma'anshan stands on the south bank of the Liujiang River. At 270 meters above sea level, it resembles a saddle. As Liuzhou's highest point, Ma'anshan offers panoramic city views, including the nightly light show—a must-see on your Liuzhou itinerary. 8️⃣ Liuzhou Industrial Museum A great place for photos and a fascinating journey through Liuzhou's industrial history. Fewer people, no lines🥹 📝📝Itinerary 👉Liuzhou Industrial Museum 👉Experience the water bus 👉Check in at Liuzhou Bridge for "Liu York!" 👉Qingyun Market (Qingyun Minsheng Market) 👉Ma'anshan Park 👉Wuxing Street & Fengqinggang Night Market 📍Liuzhou Industrial Museum (National AAAA Scenic Area) Tuesday to Sunday 9:00-17:00, last entry 16:30, reservation required. No reservation is needed if you only take photos and visit the outside area without entering the museum. Liuzhou has many well-known enterprises, and its heavy industry is renowned throughout the country, with Liugong and Wuling being the most representative. Inside the museum, you can learn about the development and heritage of Liuzhou as an industrial city—it's like traveling back to the 1980s—quite visually striking. Suggested visiting time: 1-1.5 hours After visiting the museum, you can also visit the Train Bookstore and the Luosifen Bus🚌 📍Water Bus A common mode of transportation for Liuzhou locals, CNY3/person, but most people board at Nanchedu Ferry Terminal…expect to queue for almost 1-2 hours or even longer. Actually, if you do it in reverse, you'll find almost no one at the terminal😅 After visiting the Industrial Museum, you can walk to Yaofu Terminal and wait for Water Bus Line 2. Yaofu Terminal is the last stop of Line 2, so everyone gets off here. After boarding, remember to tell the captain to drop you off at the wharf near Wuxing Street. There's a boat about every 30 minutes, so you won't have to wait long. Seeing Liuzhou from the water is a truly immersive experience💯 📍Liuzhou Bridge After disembarking, walk to the right to Liuzhou Bridge🌉 and discover Liu York! The architecture in this area is modern and impressive. 📍Qingyun Market Qingyun Minsheng Market is a local market with many local snacks. 📍Ma'anshan Park: Free A 30-minute hike to the top offers a panoramic view of Liuzhou👀 There's a glass viewing platform, perfect for taking drone-like photos. Tip: There's an elevator directly to the top🎫 CNY20/person After reaching the top, you can walk down, which takes about 20 minutes. 📍Wuxing Street & Fengqinggang Night Market: A riverside night market with lots of small stalls and a strong street atmosphere. There are many delicious foods nearby. 😋Food (what I've tried and enjoyed) 1️⃣Brother Cassava: I had this after visiting Qingyun Market. The cassava sweet soup was surprisingly delicious and affordable! One bowl is very satisfying👍 Other sweet soups also look tempting. 2️⃣Tianluo Guniang Fried Duck Feet: Fragrant, crispy, and glutinous, easy to nibble on. 3️⃣Jingjie Luosifen: I tried this place based on a local's recommendation. The soup is savory and rich, and the braised pig skin and pig's feet are good. 🏨Accommodation: I found this hotel with breakfast served until 11:00, which is great. Less than CNY100 per person, within walking distance of Yaofu Ancient Town and the Industrial Museum.

Liuzhou Water Bus | See the waterfall for only 3 yuan 😎 If you're coming to Liuzhou, you must try the water bus! 👍 It's a super bargain—only 3 yuan for a half-hour sightseeing tour. 😉🧐 The waterfall is only open on weekends and holidays (take note! 👀). 😏🤔 Off-season operating hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm. 😕📆 Line 1: Departs every 30 mins, costs 3 yuan, runs from Nanchedum Wharf to Dongdi Wharf, and the tour lasts 30 mins. 😊🎉 Line 2: Departs every 60 mins, costs 3 yuan, runs from Nanchedum Wharf to Yaopu Ancient Town Wharf, and the tour lasts 20 mins. (Please refer to the on-site screen for the actual schedule, as peak season times may vary.) 😄😉 👉 When you arrive at Nanchedum Wharf, facing the Liujiang River after walking down the slope, the Line 1 queue is on your left, and the Line 2 queue is on your right. Both sides have temporary tents and plastic stools, so you can sit while waiting. 😎👍🤩 💡 Be sure to sit on the right side of the boat, as the waterfall is on the same side as the wharf, and both Line 1 and Line 2 pass by it. 😏💗😎 ⚠️ The water bus has limited seating, carrying about 30 people per trip. People queue up, about 30 in a line, and the bus departs every 30 minutes on the dot. 😕😟😱 I arrived at 2:30pm that day and queued for Line 1, sitting in the back of the second row. I thought I'd be on board within an hour, but boarding was closed by the time my turn came. 😖 I waited another half hour and finally boarded at 4:00pm. At least I got to choose my seat first, so I picked the one on the far right. We arrived at the final stop, Dongdi Wharf, at 4:30pm. If you want to return, you have to disembark and queue again. 😒🙄🤔 So, manage your time wisely. I recommend going early, especially since the nearby Liuzhou Industrial Museum closes at 4:00pm. 😏🏃‍♂️⏰ 😏 Finally, a little secret: The windows on the water bus can be opened! I initially thought they were fixed like on a regular bus, and my photos were reflecting the glass. I only realized people behind me had their windows open for photos after I'd finished taking mine. 😎🤭😄

Accommodation and Transportation: Homestay near Diwang Plaza (very close to various attractions, basically within walking distance, some attractions require Didi travel, the cost is also within ten yuan) First Day Itinerary 1. Remember two things when you get off the high-speed rail, queue up to buy 'Shanghai Hometown Chicken' (12 minutes walk from the high-speed rail station, you can also buy it on the return trip) 2. Pre-order 'Ama Handmade (Diwang Xintiandi Store)' on the high-speed rail Arrive at the hotel to drop off your luggage, take Ama Handmade, and there is Qian Yue Snail Noodles outside the hotel (these snail noodles are a bit overhyped, it's better to eat at Qingyun Market the next day) 3. Take a taxi to Nanchedu Wharf Liuzhou Water Bus (enjoy the scenery of Liuzhou, sit on the right side of the forward direction to see the waterfall (17:00--17:30, ticket 3 yuan/person) to Nanchedu Wharf, take Line 1 to Yaobu Wharf, be sure to arrive before 4 o'clock, the last boat is at 5:30, there are few seats on the boat, 25-30 people per trip, you need to queue in peak season. 4. Yaobu Ancient Town (Hui-style architecture, night view photography) Take a taxi back to the vicinity of Wuxing Pedestrian Street. 5. Stroll around Wuxing Pedestrian Street (human fireworks) Recommended: Liupinfang Snail Noodles, there are dry snail noodles, Dahua dry snail noodles, Ayunxiang snail, Yaoji tofu pudding, tofu pudding, black and white jelly, corn syrup, Zhang Fei cassava soup, cassava is sweet and glutinous but not greasy. Arrive at Qingyun Minsheng Market on foot at 8:30 (super many snacks, get up at 7:30, leave at 8:00) We ate snail noodles, sour food, corn juice, various dim sum, because there are many people in the market, we ate randomly and bought randomly, so we won't recommend any store, just follow your fate. 2. Longtan Park (National 4A-level tourist attraction, go early to avoid the sun, free, no need to book in advance) Check-in point 3. Lunch: Wuxing Pedestrian Street (4) Take a taxi to Liuzhou Museum in the afternoon (rich in cultural relics, 9:00--17:00, stop entering at 16:00, need to book in advance, WeChat public account: Liuzhou Museum) Depending on the time and weather, you can switch to Liuhou Park (a park built to commemorate the great Tang Dynasty writer Liu Zongyuan, bring mosquito repellent or floral water, bring clothes for photos) 4. Taking the water bus in Liuzhou is really enjoyable, allowing you to fully appreciate the beauty of Liuzhou! The water bus passes through five bridges: Baisha Bridge, Hudong Bridge, Wenchang Bridge, Wenhui Bridge, and Liujiang Bridge, giving you a full view of them all. You can also see the Yaobu Ancient Town and the Confucian Temple from a distance, both of which are situated above waterfalls and are very spectacular. Along the way, you can see a waterfall group stretching for 1 kilometer, which is very impressive. Operating hours: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Ticket price: 3 yuan per person Travel Tips When taking the boat, if you want to take photos and enjoy the scenery, pay attention to the following points: 👀 If you are departing from Nanchedou Pier to Dongdi Pier, choose the seat on the right side opposite the driver. 👀 If you are departing from Dongdi Pier to Nanchedou Pier, choose the seat on the left side, so you are on the same side as the driver. 👀 The water bus at Dongdi Pier boards at the steps directly opposite the entrance of Guangxi Shengchuang Construction Co., Ltd. 👀 Each boat can accommodate up to 30 people, and the waiting time for the boat is about 30 minutes. You can pay directly by scanning the QR code with your phone when boarding. Some people have heard that IDs are checked when boarding, but when I boarded, they didn't check. However, for safety reasons, it's better to bring your ID. 🔥 The scenery is really nice, with a gentle breeze blowing. Sitting on the boat, you can also see locals swimming in the Liu River, which feels very comfortable.
