Penang 6-Day Itinerary Recommendations
[Penang Easy Slow Trip Guide - Christmas Cold Breakdown 🎄]
Looking for a relaxing and affordable Christmas vacation? Penang is definitely a good choice! Flying to Penang this December 19-24 is super cheap, airfare per person is only about $1000, let me share this relaxing vacation with you! 😊
✈️ Transportation Tips:
• After landing, mainly rely on the Grab app to call a car, convenient and cheap!
• Similar to Uber in Hong Kong, but keep in mind that fares are more expensive during rush hour
• It is recommended to call a car about 15-30 minutes early, especially after work/eating time
• Getting to the main attractions from Georgetown is not too expensive and affordable!
🏨 Accommodation Recommendation:
• The George Town area has a pretty comfortable place to stay for about HK$300-350 per night
• It is recommended to choose a location close to the attraction, easy access and not too expensive
🎢 Must-do recommendation - Escape Park
• Open: 10am - 6pm
• Must-play 4 Guinness World Record events!
- 1,111 meters longest water slide
- 1,135m longest zipline roller coaster
- 453.3m longest racing slide
- 28,757 liters maximum tilt bucket
• Tip: It is recommended to go early, the queue time may take a long time, Asus roller coaster I queued for an hour and a half😓 also have to allow the time to go up the mountain, about 5-15 minutes
• Monkey Business Rope Array is fun with 111 levels with short-distance slings for a simple experience
• Banana Flip is super stimulating, but be careful with water entry posture (I was in pain for hours after playing).
🎨 Photo Spots:
• Georgetown murals are everywhere, and a relaxing stroll takes beautiful photos
• The northern coastal attractions are scenic and can be found on your way to and from Escape Park
• Fisherman's Wharf can watch shows, eat seafood, the food is average, but there is a waterfront walk, very relaxing ~
• Cultural and creative market, accidentally broke into the market known to the locals, with different coffee friends, arts and crafts stalls, and different cuisine, well worth a walk
• Wong Reflexology: Master Wong massages, very good hands, and will teach you to relieve pain 👍🏻
🍜 Must-eat recommendations:
• Must-try fried rice noodles! (I eat it every night 😂)
• Michelin Hokkien Shrimp Noodles
• Must try local durian (you can also open a blind box! $20 for a durian, and it tastes not bad🤩)
• For example: New Lane Foodstall, Pasar Lebuh Cecil, Three Roads 888 Hokkien Mee, Roti Bakar Hutton Lane (Egg Toast!)
💡Tip:
• The ringgit is about 1.7-1.75:1 to the Hong Kong dollar
• Most places accept electronic payments and credit cards
• Bring a little cash and you can also come to Shin Kong Plaza to redeem it
This trip is really perfect for couples who want to lighten up the holidays! Play in water & land parks, see murals, eat authentic food, the slow-life journey atmosphere is definitely a bargain for the Christmas holidays! 🎅🏻✨ #New Year Good Places 2025 #FoodGuide #foodphotography #PenangTour
