#cherryblossom2024
We came here last week to observe the cherry blossom 🌸 season, and the vibe was super 😊 !
We loved the night market, street vendors and the beautiful blossom 🌸 .
The main tree was huge - probably the largest cherry tree that I’ve ever seen. A great place to visit and have fun!🤩
All in all, This is a beautiful park. A good place for a nice quiet stroll ☀️🌺

Maruyama Park is home to the Hokkaido Shrine, the Hokkaido Shrine, the Maruyama Sports Field and the Sakashita Baseball Stadium. This is a good place to walk and a great place to barbecue during the cherry blossom season.
We recommend it
Walk around the Hokkaido Jingu Shrine and admire the sakura
Watch a baseball game at Maruyama or Sakashita Stadiums
Visit the cute animals at the Maruyama Zoo

Sapporo Nature’s Brushstrokes of Autumn Color
Autumn in Sapporo, Japan, is a season like no other. As the crisp air settles in and the leaves start to change, the city transforms into a picturesque wonderland of vibrant colors and cozy moments. Sapporo, the capital of Japan's northernmost island of Hokkaido, boasts a unique charm that captures the essence of autumn in a way that is simply breathtaking.
One of the most iconic features of Sapporo in autumn is the striking foliage that blankets the city. The lush parks and forests, such as the Moerenuma Park and Maruyama Park, become a painter's palette of red, orange, and gold. The Ginkgo trees, in particular, create a mesmerizing golden canopy that invites locals and visitors alike to stroll beneath their radiant branches. The glistening leaves seem to whisper secrets of the changing seasons.
Sapporo's autumn isn't just about colors; it's also about flavors. The city is renowned for its culinary delights, and during this season, it comes alive with the delectable taste of local harvests. Hokkaido is famous for its dairy, and autumn brings a fresh supply of milk, cheese, and butter, which are incorporated into a variety of dishes, including mouthwatering creamy soups and savory pastries. Sapporo's signature miso ramen, hearty and comforting, is another must-try treat for food enthusiasts.
Autumn in Sapporo wouldn't be complete without a visit to the annual Sapporo Autumn Fest. This vibrant event celebrates the bounty of the season, with stalls showcasing a wide array of Hokkaido's finest produce, from succulent seafood to sweet corn and potatoes. The festival provides a perfect opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the local culture, savor the delicious cuisine, and enjoy live music and entertainment.
The weather in autumn is typically mild, with clear skies and cool temperatures. This provides an ideal backdrop for exploring the city's numerous outdoor attractions. You can take a leisurely stroll through Nakajima Park, rent a bicycle to explore the city's quaint streets, or enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the peaceful Maruyama River. The iconic Sapporo TV Tower, located in Odori Park, offers a fantastic vantage point for admiring the city's autumn beauty from above.
As the days grow shorter and the nights become cooler, Sapporo's autumn nights come alive with illuminated displays and festivals. The Sapporo White Illumination, held in Odori Park, bathes the city in a soft, enchanting light, creating a magical atmosphere that is perfect for romantic strolls or family outings.
In conclusion, autumn in Sapporo is a sensory experience that leaves a lasting impression. The city's stunning autumn foliage, delectable cuisine, cultural festivals, and serene outdoor activities all come together to create a unique and memorable season. Sapporo's autumn is a true testament to the beauty and charm of this northern Japanese city, making it a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to embrace the magic of fall.#sapporo #autumn #fall

Sapporo citizens come to Maruyama Park to relax. The park is particularly popular in May for cherry blossom viewing and June for the Hokkaido Shrine Festival. Originally created as a part of the Hokkaido Development Commission’s layout plan and testing ground for trees during the Meiji Period, it was developed into a park starting at the end of the Meiji Period. Its expansive grounds include the Maruyama Wild Forest, a designated natural treasure, as well as numerous sports facilities such as a public field, baseball stadium, and baseball diamond. Adjacent to Hokkaido Shrine and Maruyama Zoo, the park plays a central role in Sapporo’s recreational and athletic culture. Its past as a testing ground for trees is apparent in cedar forests and large katsura trees. Many squirrels, wild birds, and plants can also be seen in the park. #wintergetaway

In October, the Maple Leaf Tour, Hokkaido, Sapporo City, Hokkaido must go to see maple leaves and ginkgo.
From Sapporo Station, go to Odori Subway Station for one person for 200 yen to Arashiyama Park Station and walk for another 8 minutes. I took my parents and took a taxi for 1,600 yen directly to the door.
is a free park with a large area in Sapporo. When you walk in, the old trees are towering, and there is a feeling of primitive forest. There are not many people in the park. A zoo, a lot of children wearing cherry pellets came to visit, very cute.
