“Trajectory of Traces” by Chatchai Pochanaporn This exhibition presents paintings that originate from an understanding of life and changes within oneself, through journeys that are not just physical movements, but encounters with uncertainty, new places, and inner silence, which gradually shape the artist’s identity over many years. The artist started by taking photos to record his impressions of various places. However, as time passed, he found that photographs could not fully convey the feelings and emotions that arose during those moments. Therefore, he turned to creating paintings that gave him a space to express himself more deeply. The artist conveys stories through white ink paintings on dark canvases, conveying impressions in the form of “landscapes of the mind” through a semi-abstract visual art language that combines delicate lines with free and emotional brushstrokes, as if they were traces of thoughts and emotions moving along the path of life. Each image is not only a representation of a place, but also a reflection of feelings, doubts, longing, and fragility that we all may have felt along the way of life. It questions what we keep inside and what we may forget while running after our goals. We will see the artist’s concept that does not focus on reaching the destination, but rather digs for value “along the way,” in imperfection, in change. #InsomniaInExhibition "Life War" - Dust of life and the struggle amidst uncertainty by artist Kittisak Funsai "From earth to earth, from dust to dust, from ashes to ashes", this familiar saying is not only a religious teaching, but also a reminder of the deep relationship between life and nature. Every life, whether human, animal or plant, originates from the earth, grows, struggles and eventually returns to the earth again. This exhibition presents installation art using ceramics as the main material, which is fragile and easily broken, conveying the uncertainty of life. The shape of the artwork is inspired by the human body, animals and plants. Some pieces may seem so ambiguous that it is impossible to tell exactly what kind of living thing it is. It reflects the image of birth, growth, decay and waiting for a new birth. The colors of each artwork are created from the traditional clay burning process, which is definitely uncontrollable, like human emotions and feelings that are uncertain and change all the time. When everything is strung together, it becomes a work that is both fascinating and thought-provoking. How can we understand life if we have never questioned birth, struggle and decay? This question will take us to explore the human psyche amidst the battlefield of life, both the external war that appears in the form of conflicts between groups, people or nations, and the internal war that occurs in our own hearts. It is a battle between hope and despair, fear and desire. This exhibition opens up a space for us to question our own lives, to see the truth that no one can avoid uncertainty, and the struggle for survival is an instinct of every life. And amidst the war of life, sometimes we may feel defeated or exhausted to move forward. “KA-MEOW-SUTRA | Kama-Maew Sutra”, a love recipe by the cat, by artist Nawat Lertsawaengkit The Kama-Maew Sutra by Vatsyayana is an important scripture of ancient Indian culture that talks about love and various positions of sexual intercourse. However, the content of the Kama-Maew is not only about sex, but also reflects the way of life, society, and culture of India at that time, covering hygiene, social class, and history. It has also been a tool used in diplomacy since ancient times. Looking deeper into the background of the Kama-Maew, we will find that the gestures that are conveyed also convey stories of the culture and history of India in depth. Nawat Lertsawaengkit, the artist who created the artwork in this exhibition, is interested in Indian culture since he had the opportunity to study in Santiniketan, India, which was the time when he discovered the true meaning and content of the Kama-Maew. Nawat was inspired by studying the stories of India intensively until he found that this scripture is more profound than what is commonly understood. He therefore wanted to present the content of the Kama-Maew in a way that combines the cuteness and naturalness of cats, using cats as a representative to communicate the gestures of love and life. In this exhibition We will see hundreds of artworks that present the love gestures of cats, each piece conveying the meaning and emotion linked to the various gestures inspired by the Kama Sutra.
