The night before the Nagasaki Kunchi Festival. I went to see the Otabisho near the hotel, and the night view of the area was so exotic and beautiful that I decided to take a walk around the city at night.
The Otabisho is a place where you can watch the Kunchi performances from a box seat, and even the night before, the people working there were still inspecting the surroundings, and it seemed like they were busy checking everything.
After checking the location of the Otabisho, I walked around the night streets of Nagasaki as I thought of things.
The street lights near Dejima Street were beautiful, and the streets near Dejima Wharf were so beautiful that it felt like I was looking at a street in a foreign country.
It was a quiet town at night, completely free of noise, with many illuminated buildings and the bridge-shaped boundary of the median strip...it was a fantastical, beautiful night view, worthy of the name "exotic town."
It was close to the sea, and the night breeze that blew in had the smell of the sea.
I thought I'd like to come back again, around Christmas.
