Sharing the beauty of my hometown, Jilin City's Beishan
Beishan Temple complex is a unique blend of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism, with a layout that allows for the worship of various folk deities in the same hall, creating an atmosphere rich with secular and festive elements. This reflects the folk customs of the Northeast region during the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China period. Such a layout is extremely rare in other temples across the country. Standing at the foot of Beishan and looking up at the Dongfeng peak, one is surrounded by embracing ridges and towering temples. Ascending the steps, one can sequentially encounter famous buildings such as the Fanxue Hall, Guandi Temple, Yaowang Temple, Kanli Palace, and the Jade Emperor Pavilion, among which the Jade Emperor Pavilion is the highest in terrain, largest in scale, and most magnificent in architecture within the Beishan ancient architectural complex.
The Jade Emperor Pavilion, also known as the Daxiong Pavilion, was originally built in 1725 and renovated in 1926. The main hall is majestic, with statues of the Four Heavenly Kings on both sides of the main door. The ancestral hall houses statues of Buddha Sakyamuni, Taoist patriarchs below, and Confucian sage Confucius. Additionally, the side halls contain statues of the Medicine King Li Shizhen, the carpentry master Lu Ban, and 16 other patron saints of various professions. In the courtyard of the Jade Emperor Pavilion, there are some ancient pines that are said to have been personally planted by the founding monk Kuan Zhen, which are now over 200 years old.

Jilin Beishan Park
Jilin Beishan Park Northeast Snow Photography Journey Ten
2024.01.12. Overcast Beishan Park
Located in Jilin urban area, the park is mainly based on mountain and water landscapes. The main peak is 270 meters above sea level. The park is full of green peaks and pavilions.
This is my first time to Jilin, to the entrance of the park.
When I saw the frozen lake and the temple buildings on the opposite mountain, it had already exceeded my expectations.
On the way up the mountain,
Looking at the pavilion on the distant mountain top, I came to the mountain.
Touring among the ancient temples, I learned that
These temples were built during the Qing Dynasty, and the three religions of Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism coexist with unique characteristics.
Because it was already four o'clock in the afternoon when I went up the mountain.

Jilin City Beishan Park
Jilin City Beishan Park is a good check-in point. There are two ice rinks for winter sports in the park in winter. The park environment is good, very clean, and worth visiting.
