On this trip to Osaka, we did not miss visiting Osaka Castle, an important landmark that tourists must check in. Osaka Castle is one of the three most famous castles in Japan, comparable to Nagoya Castle and Kumamoto Castle. Inside Osaka Castle, there are 8 floors in total, starting from the 1st floor, which is the entrance to the castle, to the 7th floor, which is the museum, and the 8th floor, which is an observation deck where you can see Osaka City and Osaka Castle from a height of 50 meters above the ground. In addition, inside the castle, there is Osakajo Hall, an area for holding concerts, various events, a dart shooting range, a place to practice samurai sword fighting, souvenir shops, food shops, sweet shops, as well as shrines and wedding venues. And around the castle, there is also a large park, which is a popular picnic spot for Japanese people. This time, we took a samurai sword fighting class. It was fun and very impressive. We got cool photos and clips as souvenirs. And we also got to eat soft cream ice cream coated with gold leaf. It was so extravagant and magnificent. It was also very delicious. We chose to get off at Osaka Business Park Station and walked into the back of the castle. 🏯 If you have an Osaka Amazing Pass, you can walk in directly. If the castle has 8 floors in total, floors 1-7 are the museum section. The top floor is a 360-degree viewpoint of Osaka.

The castle is a replicate of the original one as Japan is very prone to getting hit by fire. Maybe it’s the climate? Most of these castles only have small remains left and was majorly restored in the current period. Nice view of Osaka from the roof. Worth visiting. What a handsome ancient monument, very spectacular, very spacious inside and beautiful scenery. I went there on 3/14, and only a few cherry trees were in bloom. If they were in full bloom it would have been very beautiful and spectacular! I hope I can take pictures of the cherry blossoms in full bloom next time I go there❤️ I'm learning to be a ninja, hahahaha, I think it's quite interesting to shoot like this

The original Osaka Castle was built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, one of the three great warlords of the Warring States Period (the other two were Oda Nobunaga and Tokugawa Ieyasu). It was built on the former base of Ishiyama Honganji Temple in 1583, and the Honmaru (main castle) was completed in about a year and a half. Until Hideyoshi's death, he continued to build additional castles such as the Ninomaru and Sannomaru, as well as defense facilities such as multiple moats and canals. The Osaka Castle we see today was rebuilt with reinforced concrete during the Showa period and was designated as a registered tangible cultural property by the Japanese government in 1997.

You can’t go to Osaka and not see it’s wonderful castle. You’ll walk around the moat before entering the main gates and then come to the castle itself. It’s a really spectacular sight! In the evening just before sunset there were only a few people there and it had a very relaxed and wholesome feel to it.
