Decent Viet Food (Uncle Ho’s)
Address - 100 Pasir Panjang Rd, #01-04 Old Behn Meyer Building, Singapore 118518
Ambiance/Facilities - Toilet is within the buildings it’s located at
Highlights - Spicy Pho
Avg. Price per Person - $15
Rating - 3.5/5
This place gave me a good impression when I first came here with my colleagues. However, after having it a few times, I’ve settled on a solid rating of 3.5/5
Hot spicy pho is my go to here and it’s still the best dish out of everything i’ve tried. Although some say their Banh Mi is more worth trying. The coffee here is not worth it as they try to brew it cafe style just with vietnamese coffee beans. I’d much rather a simple egg coffee instead.

Address - 99 Pasir Panjang Rd, Singapore 118517
Ambiance/Facilities - air-conditioned clean restaurant

Rating - Had dinner w FamilY last mth here before phase 2 kicked in. The paper wrapped chix was really junicy and fragrant its their must order dish every table had this! Also ordered beef brisket claypot(a tad salty), pork ribs(nt bad), and crabmeat tofu(savoury and gd to hv w rice). Overall a good dinner but found this small restaurant atad too expensive for the small portions in general. Foodfare wise all is good except the salty claypot so worthwhile to come try w FamilY.#food #sg
Friday lunch in Office
#mustdo
Google Office lunch
Every Friday if I am available, I will go for bottomless buffet at this awesome office. There is no cap on food consumption but I will advise you not to waste food. There is no need to eat everything and stuff yourself. Eating in moderation is always better and there is always next time. In this office, you can eat and drink at their F&B outlets, serve yourself and have a great time. Just to let you know, please do not takeaway since consumable and perishable food are to be consumed within certain timing. The last thing you want anything to happen to you is having a stomachahe.
Pasir Panjang Power Station 🧱
So happy I can finally visit the Pasir Panjang Power Station. This power house was Singapore’s second power station and decommissioned in 1997. The gorgeous red brick facade is reminiscent of the times when Singapore was under the British colonial as this building is built by the British Company George Wimpey and company.
St James power station is quite popular and had been use by a lot of companies but not really this Pasir Panjang one.
Imagine my delight when I can find an opportunity to visit it 😍. I always wanted to because it reminds me of music videos and large concerts.
This kind of layout excites me i don’t know why. I’m also surprised by how big the place is. Their toilets are actually container toilets on the outside but it’s very clean!

Lego Play Day 🧱
Lego Play Day celebrates Lego 90th Anniversary. This even was private only and held for staff but I was luckily to be working for their event.
It was also my first time at Pasir Panjang Power House. It was always cool to witness such scene in music videos or imagine a concert to be held here.
Lego Play Day had lots of activity booth for the event. Such as Red Light Green Light, building lego cars, lego figurine, drawing, basketball and many more.
I am also very impress by the toilets there at the power house station, despite being a container toilet. It was rather well maintained and clean, just like a normal toilet instead of a portable toilet.

Labrador Park
From the Labrador Park MRT station walk alongside Berlayer Creek for about 1KM, a well maintained promenade type walk. Then the choice is turn left for an easy looking promenade walk or right towards the Labrador Nature Reserve.
There are a couple of highlights (e.g. Dragon’s Teeth Gate replica) but the favourite for me was to walk up through the old fort Pasir Panjang brick wall entrance on a wide easy road to the 6in gun and other battery positions. The gun was originally installed around the 1890s (found I think in 2001), but this whole section was of course a key position for WW2. This was the most reflective part of the walk for me, and here you are sheltered in the trees. Strolling around I took about 90 mins. There were not many folks walking here, almost as many fishing on the front.

Rating - Went last Sunday afternoon at 1245pm had about 4 groups queuing in front us. All was well executed and truly gives us some comfort not bring able to go Taiwan but can enjoy authentic tasting Taiwanese food here. Total damage was $70+ and we all went home feeling very full and content, recommended to go !#foodie
