Qiangang Ancient Village is located in Qiangang Village, Taiping Town, with a construction area of more than 50,000 square meters and more than 900 houses. Most of the villagers are surnamed Lu. According to records, the Lu family in Qiangang is a descendant of Lu Xiufu, the Prime Minister of the Southern Song Dynasty. Most of the houses preserved in the village were built in the Qing Dynasty, and some buildings still retain the legacy of the Song Dynasty. Qiangang Ancient Village has four gate towers, nine academies, three ancestral halls, and four more buildings. Outside the village there is a "moat river". The alleys in the ancient village are many and deep, with twists and turns. Houses, ancestral halls, shed halls, pools, etc. are all available. It is a typical representative of well-preserved Cantonese dwellings. There is Guangyu Temple in the ancient village, which is the ancestral hall of the Lu clan in the Southern Song Dynasty. Built in the same year as the Forbidden City in Beijing, it has a history of nearly 600 years. Guangyu Temple has been listed as a cultural relic protection unit by the Guangdong Provincial Government, and won the first place in the "UNESCO Asia-Pacific Cultural Heritage Protection Outstanding Project Award" in 2003. It has a very high historical relic value among ancient Chinese villages. .
