I got a great deal on a hotel for the weekend in Shanghai!
I often go to Shanghai for the weekend because my good friends are there.
This time, I booked the Regent Shanghai Pudong for the weekend through a special channel for CNY 1,500. I was able to check in early at 10:00, get a late check-out at 14:00, and received a USD 100 dining voucher that could be used at the Chinese restaurant, Western restaurant, or spa. In addition, I got two breakfast vouchers and a room upgrade. It was at least CNY 600 cheaper than Trip.com, which is like saving money on a meal. I really think I'm a genius!
The location of the Regent Shanghai Pudong is very convenient, but the main reason I booked it was for the swimming pool with a view of the Lujiazui skyline!
On Sunday, I went to the Cityride on the Pudong Riverside, which is a route worth trying! I experienced the joy of a sunset roller coaster!
This route is perfect for families to cycle together!!! You can encounter natural landscapes, gravity-free facilities for children, and skyscrapers!
We drove to the Qiantan Park Lane, where we could park for free for 4 hours! We started from Qiantan Park and only rode the best part of the route to Pudong. We weren't satisfied, so we went back the same way and continued riding. This way, we didn't have to take a taxi back, and we could continue to the Qiantan Children's Park, where the kids could play in the gravity-free park for a while~ Then we went to Qiantan for dinner~ My daughter's stamina is really great! Before, she was afraid of going downhill and would brake suddenly, but after this route, which was all uphill and downhill, she overcame her fear of going downhill!
Starting from Qiantan Park and ending at the Oriental Pearl Tower, you will pass many landmarks along the way, which is also the best section of the riverside scenery, including the Mercedes-Benz Arena, Twin Hills (4,800CM), Pudong Art Museum, Oriental Pearl Tower, etc. Each one has scenery and a core recommended photo spot:
The dawn of the Lupu Bridge and Nanpu Bridge together to enjoy the sunset on the riverside, and the dawn of the dawn redwood forest near Qiantan Park.
If you have time, you can go to Twin Hills to take pictures of the 11-hole bridge and the entire Qiantan Park (reservation required in advance).
Precautions:
1. The angle of the uphill and downhill sections of some roads is relatively large, so be sure to wear a helmet and pay attention to safety.
2. There are pedestrians mixed in some sections of the road, which will slow down the cycling speed, so safety first.
3. It is recommended to start riding at noon, so that you can see the golden water surface of the Huangpu River at sunset on the riverside. If it is a single line, the scenery will be better from Qiantan to Pudong!
