[2025 Porto Stay] Travel Guide for Se Catedral Hotel Porto, Tapestry Collection by Hilton (Updated May)

This Se Catedral is part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection, which brings together many original upscale hotels that cater to guests seeking reliability and value in independent hotels. I must say, the decor of this hotel is truly unique! Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The hotel is right next to the cathedral, and all attractions are within walking distance, so we didn’t spend any money on public transportation. If you’re taking a taxi from the airport, I’ve attached a guide (pictures 8–11) on how to get there easily through the metro, avoiding uphill climbs. Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Before check-in, the hotel emailed me a travel guide—so thoughtful! At check-in, I received a complimentary welcome drink and dessert, which were available for self-service. They even helped with the luggage. Other details can be seen in the photos ⬆️. Cleanliness: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m very sensitive about hotel cleanliness, especially the smell, which can really affect the stay. This hotel’s towels, pillowcases, etc., had no strange smells and were perfectly clean! The cleaning was thorough, and I couldn’t spot any dust. The water pressure was great, making showers very comfortable. You can stay here with peace of mind! Room: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I booked a Standard Twin Room, about 200 sqft. The only downside was that the bathroom was a bit small, but everything else was fine. I stayed for just three days, so size wasn’t an issue for me. Safety: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On our second morning, we left the room and didn’t hang the “Do Not Disturb” sign, as there was no sign on the door. When we came back, we found that the room had been tidied, including all the skincare and cosmetics we had left on the table. Though nothing was missing, I did feel uneasy knowing someone had entered the room without us knowing. This could’ve been avoided if I had informed the front desk. It’s not a major issue. Soundproofing: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m sensitive to noise when sleeping, and during my stay, aside from door opening and closing, I couldn’t hear any noise from neighboring rooms. I slept very soundly. Room Amenities: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Energy-saving and carbon-reduction measures are common in Europe, so most hotels don’t provide toiletries or kettles. This hotel didn’t have them either, but I called to request them, and they were delivered right away. Water can be refilled for free, just by calling. Surprise Factor: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ See picture 4️⃣. Overall Experience: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One sentence: If you’re coming to Porto, stay at this hotel! I’m very picky about hotels, and I can responsibly say this one is excellent! Located near Porto's historic cathedral, staying at Se Cathedral Hotel Porto, Tapestry Collection by Hilton was a wonderful experience that allowed me to fully experience the charm of the city with its contemporary and unique design. Hotel Design The interior of the hotel is designed for young people and has a cool and stylish atmosphere. The rooms are simple yet sophisticated, with a particular attention to art and lighting, making them very comfortable spaces. The location near the cathedral is also convenient for enjoying sightseeing in the city. Restaurant Features The hotel restaurant not only serves delicious food during the day, but also has a DJ at night, so you can enjoy your meal to the rhythm. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very lively, and you can see locals and tourists enjoying themselves together. Delicious Food The food was also excellent, especially the orange juice, which was fresh and very delicious. The risotto had a strong flavor and was a perfect dish for lunch or dinner. The high quality of the food, combined with the atmosphere of the restaurant, made for a very satisfying time. Summary Tapestry by Hilton Porto Cathedral is a hotel with a modern and energetic atmosphere, and is a perfect place for the younger generation. The DJ experience at the hotel restaurant was unique, and the food was delicious, making it a wonderful stay where you can fully experience the charm of Porto.
