Nice place to visit with family & kids. Lots of photo points. Parking is issue if you go in pick hours.One of the best place to visit in Pune. Historical place, situated in the heart of city. This one being a integral part of Maratha History, feels good to be here. Seems evenings will be good Worth spending. Car parking is little bit difficult,in-house parking gets filled instantly. Need to find somewhere around. Nice place for photographs and spending time with your friend's and family. You can bring your food and have it nicely inside. Drinking Water facility available. Make sure you had loo break , specially with children as there is no facility inside. Entry fee of Rs 50/person will be accepted in CASH only.

Pune is a city of contrasts—old-world charm in places like Tulshibaug and Parvati Hill, and a modern edge in areas like Baner, Viman Nagar, and FC Road. What mattered most to me was the authenticity. Pune doesn’t try to impress—it just is. From the warmth of the locals to the mouthwatering Maharashtrian thalis, from heritage sites to thriving art and music scenes, Pune invites you in slowly, but leaves a deep impression. Best Time to Visit: October to February—ideal for sightseeing, treks, and cultural events like Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav. I recommend 3 beautiful attractions. 1. Shaniwar Wada A beautiful ancient castle and historical fortress. Built by Peshwa Bajirao I in 1732, this fortress served as the headquarters of the Peshwas of the Maratha Empire. Although partially destroyed by fire in 1828, the remains of the fort are still a testament to its glorious history. 2. Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Mandir An Indian temple. Worship the elephant-headed god Ganesha; the elephant-headed god, known as Ganesha or Ganapati in Sanskrit, is the god of wisdom and the god of removing obstacles in Hinduism and Indian mythology. It combines the wisdom of humans and elephants and is especially revered by the Shaivism and Vaishnavism sects of Hinduism. Because he rules over a group of minor gods (Ganas) who serve Shiva and are good at causing trouble, he is also known as the "Lord of the Ganas." 3.
