Finding a Secluded Residence Amidst the Hustle and Bustle of the Mountain City
Chongqing, a city embraced by mountains and mist, always manages to surprise you unexpectedly. This time, I chose to check in to Mountain View Boutique Hotel (Tushan Temple Branch) to start a poetic encounter with the mountain city.
Located next to Tushan Temple, Mountain View Boutique Hotel is far from the hustle and bustle, yet it does not lose its lively atmosphere. With its white walls and black tiles, and bamboo forests, it looks like a traditional Chinese painting. At the entrance, an old tree stands quietly, as if telling the story of the years. The designer skillfully integrates the mountain city landscape and Bayu culture into it. Every step offers a different view, and every place is picturesque.
I stayed in the "Mountain View" room type. The room was spacious and bright, with a log color scheme and elegant fabrics, creating a warm and comfortable living atmosphere. What surprised me the most was the huge floor-to-ceiling window, which offered a panoramic view of the Nanshan Mountain. In the morning, when I opened the window, the mountains were surrounded by clouds and mist, like a fairyland; at night, thousands of lights lit up the mountain city, dazzling and bright.
The restaurant at Mountain View Boutique Hotel specializes in Sichuan and Chongqing cuisine, with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Breakfast is in the form of a buffet, with a wide variety of options, including Chongqing noodles, hot and sour rice noodles and other local snacks, as well as Western-style breads and salads, to meet different tastes. For dinner, I chose hot pot, which was spicy and delicious, with an endless aftertaste.
Mountain View Boutique Hotel has leisure spaces such as a tea room, a book bar, and a yoga room, providing guests with a place to relax. My favorite is the tea room, which is simple and elegant, and filled with the fragrance of tea. In the afternoon, I made a pot of tea and read a good book, and time seemed to slow down.
There are many attractions around Mountain View Boutique Hotel. Tushan Temple, Lao Jun Cave and other historical sites are within walking distance, allowing you to feel the profound heritage of Bayu culture. In addition, the Nanshan Yikeshu Viewing Platform and Huangjueya Old Street are also nearby, where you can admire the unique mountain city scenery of Chongqing.
