There wasn't much information, so I was worried until the day, but I was able to get there safely and easily, so I would like to share it with you all. We arrived in Hong Kong on a night flight. Rather than wandering around Hong Kong, we looked for a route that we could get to quickly from the airport. So we decided on a ferry to Shekou Port in Shenzhen. After arriving at the airport, we headed in the same direction as the immigration officers, and soon we saw a sign for the ferry to the mainland. The ticket counter was open, so we were able to purchase tickets immediately. We could use credit cards without any problems, so we didn't need to exchange money. The ferry gates were only open 30 minutes before the ferry, so we had to wait at the airport for a few minutes. The ferry gates opened, and we took the airport train to the boarding point, so it's better to have plenty of time. The ferry was very large and spacious. Our seats were already reserved. I went directly to my destination so I didn't get lost, and immigration was empty so I was able to enter China in no time. It was a good deal considering the lines at the airport. I booked a new hotel just a few minutes' walk from the port, so I was able to rest well after arriving and feel at ease. The last ferry is at 9:30pm. I recommend it for those who can make it in time.

Multicultural groups can go to Shekou Seaworld to mingle with international friends. There are plenty of lounges or open areas on the boardwalk to sit and talk through the day. The views from the board walk are open. It’s a soothing place to experience the waves of the bay. If you’re into this type of environment I would suggest you stay until sunset. The light is absolutely amazing. 🏃🏻♂️Travelers from HongKong can get to Shekou from Shekou Port. There are ferries linking the two locations. Other options include the High-speed rail or the metro system. Varying prices will happen according to your choice of transit. The high-speed rail is my recommendation for ease and comfort.

Decided for a short trip to Shenzhen. Stayed over at Futian and Nanshan. For shopping, would recommended Futian more as Nanshan is more towards chic and relaxing views.

Yes!! We landed in Shenzhen and headed straight to the high speed metro line 11 (one of the fastest underground lines in the world). This took us to Futuan Station in the center of Shenzhen in just a few minutes, where we hopped on the high speed rail line that took us to Hong Kong in just 15 minutes!! It was like living in the future. We had an amazing holiday in HK, and then travelled back to Shenzhen via ferry from Hong Kong’s central piers, arriving at SheKou port where there were zero queues at the border, and head on yet another metro line to our final hotel in Seaworld, which is 5 minutes away from the ferry terminal, before flying back home.#couplestrip #travel #myitinerary #train #plane #ferry #chinatransit #china #travelinginchina

I picked a favorite book from the bookcase, ordered a cup of iced coffee, and sat by the window.
