We passed the Tower of London (the afternoon sun shining on Tower Bridge was beautiful ❤️) ➡️ We stopped at a stall to buy fish and chips (there were two, and we tried them all. You can help yourself to the ketchup, and there are different sauces for you to mix and match. There are chairs along the way for convenient seating after eating, and there are trash cans nearby. London's tourist attractions are well-organized 😃❗) ➡️ Enjoy the scenery along the way and see the beautiful Shard from different angles ➡️ Walked to Tower Bridge to take photos (there were so many people and cars, it was exciting to stand in the middle of the bridge and take photos 🤣🤣🤣) ➡️ Browsed the souvenir shops and was reluctant to leave. Tower Bridge Bridge and the Shard 💖💕 Walking on Tower Bridge is a lifelong experience 🤣🤣🤣 Of course, there's also the Tower of London. The Tower of London is known for the song "London Bridge is Falling Down." The scenery paired with the clouds is absolutely stunning. Arrived at Buckingham Palace (the King's residence) on Sunday. I didn't see the Changing of the Guards. But I did get to take photos with them. 💯🎉🎉😿🎉 I was satisfied. 🥰🥰🥰💕💕💖 So many people were clamoring for photos with the guards. ^_^ I even noticed a guard letting out a small chuckle. 😁😁😁 St. James's Park is so huge. It's rare to be in the UK. We actually ordered coffee to keep us awake. A bunch of people were talking. Ducks and geese playing and taking photos together It was so hilarious, and I was no exception 🤣🤣🤣 Today I went on a treasure hunt and found two amazing souvenir shops. Both were cheaper than in the tourist areas, which was great 🎉🎉🎉 I wouldn't recommend the shops near the London Eye, as they're quite expensive. Covent Garden has a beautiful overall design. There are so many restaurants ❗❗❗ The selection is diverse and fun to browse 👍👍👍 We definitely came to the right restaurant. The medium-rare beef main course at Flat Iron was incredibly delicious 🥩🥩🥩 Be sure to order the salad, it's super refreshing 🥗 The staff were so helpful and welcoming, and the experience was fantastic. I'm sure you'll find yourself in the British Empire, so you'll definitely want to take a photo with a red phone booth that catches your eye. 👍 Travel is like discovering different sights. There are even black phone booths. I guess these are real phone booths that actually work. 🤣 The red ones are definitely a symbol of your visit to London. ✔️ It's like getting your passport stamped at customs, saying, "I've been here." 🧳🐾 I've picked a perfect spot for photos. The red telephone booths are a prime location for feng shui. One of the photos was taken on a gorgeous, sunny day. 🌞Outside Victoria Station. It's London's transport hub and the second-busiest railway station in the UK. I was passing through Victoria Station on my way back to catch the Airport Express. ☺️ My first opera experience was at the Queen's Theatre in London. It commemorated my only time seeing the classic opera "Les Miserables" in Europe. 💯💯💯 I got a hard-earned photo of the cast at the curtain call. It also made up for not seeing an opera when I visited Paris years ago. One of our meals in London was actually ramen. 🍜 The decor is Japanese-style. They even sell merchandise, including a cat chopstick holder. I reluctantly left London. Hong Kong City offers a delicious and authentic dim sum experience right in the heart of London. The crystal prawn dumplings were delicate and packed with fresh, juicy prawns, while the fried prawn dumplings offered a satisfying crunch. The char siu bun was wonderfully fluffy with a sweet and savory pork filling. The minced pork dumplings were rich and flavorful. A special mention goes to the king prawn cheung fun, with its silky-smooth rice noodle sheets wrapped around plump prawns. And finally, the East wind snails were a unique and delicious treat, perfectly seasoned and cooked. The entire meal was a true taste of Hong Kong. #September Good Places 2025 Coal Drops Yard is next to London’s King’s Cross station, originally used for coal storage in the nineteenth century. In those days, the British railways were very prosperous in transporting coal. This was the transit station for unloading and dividing coal. It was later abandoned for decades until it was renovated in 2018 and turned into the stylish shopping area it is now. The architectural design is stunning, retaining all the old brickwork, iron structure, and adding a very eye-catching “Kissing Roof” – two roofs arched in the middle as if kissing together, the whole feeling is very artistic. The designer is Thomas Heatherwick, who has previously designed the London Olympic torch and Hong Kong PMQ. Transportation is super easy to get to Coal Drops Yard, just a few minutes walk from King’s Cross St Pancras tube station. The station is a major transport hub in London, with access to the Underground, trains and even the Eurostar. There is also Regent’s Canal nearby where you can walk, and Granary Square has a water dance fountain that is beautifully lit at night. Central Saint Martins School of Art is right next door and the whole area has a creative atmosphere. A little further you can go to the British Library to read rare books, or to Camden Market to find vintage books.
